I'm going to WDW in September for 10 nights. Thinking about splitting my stay between 3 resorts. POR, AKL & WL. Anybody split 3 hotels before? One of the reasons is because I arrive late on my first day and don't want to pay for a full night at AKL.

Yes, I've done a three resort split stay. I stayed one night at POP followed by four nights at AKL and then four nights at GF. It was a fabulous trip and I didn't mind moving a bit.

we just did 3 resorts on our trip at the end of June. ( BLT, AKV kidani and VWL). Our oldest had a volleyball tournament at ESPN. It worked out great for us.
BLT is my favorite.(4 of us). AKV is the kids favorite (then all 5 of us).. and we got to try WL

we were there 8 days. VWL was a last minute add on...

We had our own car so we didnt need help transferring luggage and we got super lucky.. all 3 rooms were ready when we checked in.

I did last trip (7 nights/6 park days including IoA). Had a POFQ trip then added a day before and two after, but couldn't get the same resort. I did a one night AoA, POFQ, ASMu. I tailored my plans to where I was staying and it actually worked out really well.

Wasn't a problem for me but I travel light, I have no kids, and I had a rental car.

I'm not sure I'd do it if I had lots of lugguage, or if I had to move kids, or if I had to depend of Disney to transfer my stuff.

My upcoming trip is a solo one. I stayed at POR last year and liked it. Never been to the deluxe ones before. Now I'm thinking of POP instead of POR since it's a short leg, and it's mostly to save some money.

We just did. We stayed one night at the GF, one week at BC and five nights at BW. As long as you pack well and stay organized, it's totally doable and a wonderful adventure!

We are planning a three way split for next year, too. We just became VGF owners, but couldn't miss out on staying a few nights in the Epcot circle, so we're adding a few nights there on cash, and then headed to the beach for a few days at VB. To me, the resorts are just as much of an adventure as the parks, and as long as I pack well, I really don't lose any vacation time making the moves.

Last August we did a 3 resort split and it worked out great. Spent the first night at the Pop because of an evening flight. The next morning we took our bags to bell services and told them I needed them sent to the Beach Club. I took the bus to HS and then the boat to the Beach club. Bags arrived with no problem. After a 4 night stay we went to POR to stay in a Princess room for 2 nights. It really couldn't have been easier!
