Three quick AKV-Jambo Questions

Hey,

Just three quick questions.....

1-First I know room requests are requests and not guranteed. We are staying in a studio so I'd like to request to be near the laundry room. Last time we were almost as far away from it that you can get and it was a pain. The two times we've stayed at AKL we've always been in rooms far down the trail so we looked across the savanna. Do the rooms that are near Arusha Rock (and the laundry room) have good views or does the rock block it and you don't see as many animals?

2-Our first AKV-J stay, we received a giraffe refrigerator magnet as a thank you for your stay which my puppy ate about a month ago. Do they still have those? I collect giraffes. If not, anyone see one in either of the marketplaces?

3-Anyone compared merchandise in the two markets? Is it the same or different?

We were near the laundry room and elevators a few weeks ago, and we loved our view. It was especially nice at night when we could see zebras sleeping near our balcony. We saw giraffes often, and the red river hogs and cattle with the huge horns spent a lot of time near us. Most of the animals were within our view at some time during the day. There were a lot of birds that liked to sit on Arusha Rock.

We didn't get a giraffe magnet, but the last night we got a printed African proverb and a chocolate heart with the AKL logo imprinted on it. This was our first stay at AKL-J as DVC members, so I don't know if everyone gets the heart or if it was for our anniversary.

I didn't notice any giraffe magnets in the market at Jambo, but I didn't pay very much attention to magnets. We ate at Sanaa, but we didn't go into the market there. When we passed by it, I noticed it looks much smaller than the market at Jambo.

It's on 5th floor on the Zebra Trail, about 1/4 of the way down the hall on the right.

I was on the 5th floor of zebra trail in a studio. It was perfect! Just steps away from the laundry, close to the elevators and lobby, but far away enough to have some quiet. The view of the animals was fabulous! Our bellboy remarked on how lucky we were to have this room, as the others were quite a trek away. I can't remember my room number, but zebra trail, 5th floor should do the trick! Good luck and enjoy!
