Three Princesses and a June Trip to Disney World with pics, Final Update Aug 11th

HMMM... I can only imagine what happens next.... don't hold us in suspense for too long ;)

We loved our stay at AKL this summer, I highly recommend staying there. If you had gone out the doors there by Boma you would have been at the pool. There were two or three viewing areas on the back side of the pool of the animals. When we were there the fourth floor was draped off, and they were starting on some of the third floor rooms over the lobby. ANd yes the food there at Boma was delicious. Glad that you and family enjoyed you quick trip to AKL and you dinner at Boma.

Very good update. Yes, it was nice of the bus driver to take you directly to the AKL. On our way to AK one evening there were only a handful of people on the bus. The bus driver asked anyone if they were going to BB and no one was. He said he would skip it entirely and head right to the AK. I think it just saves them time in the long run!

I love the little video - too cute!

Also, I hate when you get a child that is just plain mean or obnoxious and you wish you could just slap them...or their parents! Seriously! We were lucky and had very kind kids in the kiddie pool at POR. In fact, a slightly older girl took Brooke "under her wing" so to speak and loved playing with her. I think she felt like she was an older sister at that point. Brooke loved it because she is so used to boys all the time!

I love this trip report! Your vacation sounds like so much fun! Glad that little girl didn't spoil the fun for your DDs in the kiddie pool.

Im looking foward to the next installment. :)

Boma sounds great and so kind of the server :) What is it with the naughty kids in WDW maybe the parents compensate for their bad parenting by doing lavish holidays :confused3 Not saying mine are angels though :rotfl:

Boma is ON MY LIST! I have only ever, ever heard great things about it. V had some yummo pics in her TR and your family pictures just make me wanna head there NOW!

That poor little girl being ignored. Apparently her parents were too busy to pay any attention to her. Sounds like she was acting out for some attention. Was there a life guard to watch her, since her family wasn't...?

So...who stole the card key? Let me guess... Belle?

Well, after reading this, Boma is definately on the list for February.

What a great waiter, love hearing CM stories like this.

Why do parents bother going to WDW to talk on the phone and ignore their kids???

key Card... Uh-Oh

So glad you enjoyed Boma. We are spending part of our next trip at Animal Kingdom Villas and have reservations to eat at Boma...So excited.:flower3:

That's it. A side note and then nothing. You can't tell a little story like that and leave us hanging:headache:

Hahaha, I gotta get you back here somehow!!!! Don't worry...I will post again in a few days! :goodvibes
Another great installment! Looking foward to hearing about your day at Epcot!!!:goodvibes
Thanks IcePrincess! Don't you just love Epcot?!!!!!
I'm so glad you all enjoyed Boma! I really want to try some other places next trip, but I'm having a hard time leaving Boma off the list. :guilty:
Wow V, you're leaving Boma off??? So whats on your list for the next trip?

I have not tried it at night. And...hmmm...come to think of it, I have not tried it at all, because I am a BIG CHICKEN! I definitely need to hit that ride on my upcoming trip!
Oh its not scary at all...I mean its not like Space Mountain or Rockin Roller Coaster and certainly nothing compared to EE!!! Its 1/2 step up from Goofy's Barnstormer. Really you'll be ok!! :thumbsup2
Haha! That's great! What an awesome waiter!

And what a great trip report installment! Can't wait for the next!
Thanks MDee! Come on back!
Wow--what a great dinner! DH would really like to try Boma, but I'm too scared.

Was this the first night you went to bed at the same time as the girls? :rotfl2:

Uh oh, I sense a "forgotten" key card story coming up!

Denise
What are you scared of? I am not good at trying new food...but really this is great stuff and not too crazy or spicey! I think they Americanized it :rotfl2: I was asleep a good 10 minutes before I got to bed!!!

Reading about Boma is just killing me!!! :lmao: What a wonderful server you had! And I loved the video of your little princess! princess:

How very sad to read about the little girl at the pool. :sad2: I have seen children who are just dying for attention. Once a little girl (maybe 8?)followed Maddie and I around Target just listening to our conversation and watching our interaction as we shopped and chatted. I thought it very bizarre, until I saw her mother, gabbing on the cell phone oblivious that her child was wandering the store.
But I'm glad you got in some nice pool time with your resort friends! :goodvibes

popcorn:: Can't wait to hear what happens next!
Thanks about little Cindy!
And thats exactly what I am talking about....that poor little girl who's mommy isnt paying any attention. :sad2:
Next installment will be up in a few days! I am trying to keep my scrapbooking up with my trippie so they both get done!!! :rotfl2:

YUM! We love Boma too!
It's so good I would most definately return!!!

HMMM... I can only imagine what happens next.... don't hold us in suspense for too long ;)

So what do you think I might say??? Don't worry...the weekend is coming!

Wow it really seems like a great place to stay....I also liked Wilderness Lodge! Did you have trouble getting around to the parks from AKL? Seems pretty far from everything? Or wasnt that a problem? Did you get to go on the sunrise safari?

I agree about the bus runs!
I really feel sorry for the ones whose parents just dont care...but I would say a majority (95%) of the kids were so nice....like you said! Its the 5% that drive you crazy!! :rotfl:

I love this trip report! Your vacation sounds like so much fun! Glad that little girl didn't spoil the fun for your DDs in the kiddie pool.

Im looking foward to the next installment. :)
Hi PrincessDot - Thanks so much!! Naaa...she didnt spoil the vacation at all....on vacation you gotta be flexible!!! Plus I blame the parents on that one more than the little girl.
Come on back to read more this weekend!
Boma sounds great and so kind of the server :) What is it with the naughty kids in WDW maybe the parents compensate for their bad parenting by doing lavish holidays :confused3 Not saying mine are angels though :rotfl:
We were very fortunate, on the whole trip really, to get nice servers.
I think you hit the nail on the head...not that every parent has to parent like we do but you gotta have a base level of parenting. Clearly not being met by 5% of parents here at Disney.
Your girls are sweet angels!!! With angelic accents!!!!

Oh you gotta get there pjv!!! da bomb I tell ya!!!

No life guard...but the mom's sitting around the pool (including myself) were watching her of course. I think he was counting on that.

Was it stolen? Was it golden? Hmmmmm???? :confused3 :confused3

Glad you are planning on going! Let me know what you think!
Cell phones are the downfall of America!!! (according to DH) That and credit cards! :rolleyes1

So glad you enjoyed Boma. We are spending part of our next trip at Animal Kingdom Villas and have reservations to eat at Boma...So excited.:flower3:

Oh wow Peanut...I would love to know how the AKV are...I am sure you will have a wonderful terrific time!!! Boma wont dissappoint either!

Nummy nummy is all I have to say about Boma!

And I'm a bit nervous about the card!!!

Wow V, you're leaving Boma off??? So whats on your list for the next trip?

Well, technically, the next trip is in Aug. but it's only 3 days. The nect real trip is in Dec. Between the two, I've got:

Kona (for the 21 Lapu Lapu salute)
Biergarten
Le Cellier
Sci Fi
Ohana
Chefs de France
Rose & Crown
Plaza

I'm bran ching out! :rotfl:

We drove to the parks, never caught any of the buses. And it seemed abit quicker to take the car and go. The day we went to AK it was 4 or 5 mins, Epcot was 8 mins, MGM and MK I don't remember how long but it was never more then 10 mins to get to any of the parks. As for the sunrise/ sunset safaris they are for those who have the consergie services. But I did see on two days in the afternoon the safari truck coming back from it's trip out. Not many people on both days. Would have loved to gone on one of the safaris.

Glad you are branching out....I guess we all have to do it eventually! :goodvibes I will have to do some research on the last three since I dont know much about them....you did do your research right??? ;)

Drats....only concierge people get to go??? and they drive you right to the hotel??? Wow! I think a car is handy too since you dont have to wait around for the bus and all the bus stops! Do you have to pay the tolls? I know parking is free. Thanks for all the info castawaymom! ;)

Ok finally caught up, thank goodness you're not done yet! Wow you guys are fast TR writers! Mine was in April and I'm only on Day 3! Ok I'm guilty of being one of those TR writers who takes another trip before finishing current TR. :rolleyes1

Darn, your Boma experience makes me sad because I had to change our ADR for that at the last minute. :guilty: I missed out on Zebra Domes. Next time. ;)

Loving the TR though, your princess:'s are soo cute. I can't believe you won DFP's!!! OMG how fun and exciting!!! Can't wait to read more popcorn::

Well I am motivating myself by scrapbooking my trip along with this report. And it is fun writing it I think...you kind of relive the moments. I am actually putting the TR in my scrapbook.... hey maybe my grandkids will read about it one day! :rolleyes1
I feel like I missed out on stuff too...you really can't do it all! So we ALL have to go back! :thumbsup2
Thanks for reading! And thanks about the DFP!!

I feel like I missed out on stuff too...you really can't do it all! So we ALL have to go back! :thumbsup2

So When are you going Back! Cant wait for next TR... :rotfl:
Every one has that feeling, everytime we go, we go is if it might be our last trip, because someday it will be, but we always run out of time and can never do or see it all. Even with all of the planing, planing, re-planing, and even more planing. This simple solution is to have fun, and hope you can go again and that its soon rather than later.
But i guess I should wait on asking for next one until this TR is done. Can't wait for the next installment. :dance3:

Hi chipNdale! :cheer2: Thanks for reading! I think you hit the proverbial nail on the head! Somehow I must have thought that planning would solve the problem and it did get me much further than without planning....but there really is so much to do! I am writing the next installment today then I only have our departing day and I am done! :cool1: I'll talk more about the future in the last installment! So look today for the next update hopefully later today! :thumbsup2

Whew, I just finished reading your report. :goodvibes Your 3 princess: are just darling and I am so glad your DD got to feeling better.

I am enjoying the pictures and can't wait to read more. popcorn::

We will be staying at the POR too but have to have the AB section because we need the trundle. I am going to request Building 18 I think. I was worried about the possible smoke smell but it doesn't seem to be an issue.

:woohoo: Yay on the Dream FPs. I can't believe the wedding couple turned them down. :confused3
