Three nights of freezing temps here in Florida!!!

Just have to say please get warmer before Jan 8. I do not want to run again in Central Florida in the snow or be handed cups of frozen powerade during the marathon. It's Florida it is supposed to be warm!

I'm hoping for low 40's for the race start on Sunday. As long as it is above freezing and below 50 it will be good.

... The closer we got to Fla the colder it got... whats next ice skating excursions at CC? :rotfl2:

Yeah we just got back from WDW today. The morning after Christmas was painfully cold with wind! On the plus side, there was nobody at Animal Kingdom that morning!

I have been using the heat. :) We were at my son's house today and the furnace kept cutting off. brrrrrr

When were in Fla, while you guys were cruising, I had to go to Target and spend over $200 on thermal stuff, gloves and hats. It was crazy and cold. I brought some stuff planning on it getting cold but not enough. That doesn't include we all got new Disney sweatshirts at $50 a pop

I did however get my Target fix so DH thinks I planned it all :confused3

Oh well I figured we have been going in Dec for 8 years and this was the coldest it has ever been. :scared1:

The weather has been frigid here in NJ thanks to the blizzard. I hear by the weekend it is going to warm up (haha) a bit though. :)

At least you had heat. Our heater was not working until Tuesday!! We had to use a blanket on the bed and wear socks around the house!

We have heat and use it all winter- and we still have to wear socks (and sweaters and long pants) around the house and put bankets on the bed! :rotfl:

And how did you like the karma that your Govenor took off to Disney World where it wasn't much warmer?

The problem with Floridians is that no matter where they came from they turn into cold wimps. When we were down there one year in early December it was 80 degrees, but all the locals (or is it townies?) were wearing sweaters. Up here anything above 60 or 55 if the sun is out, is shorts weather!

If you would like you can come to Minnesota and help me shovel. Until it gets below 0, do we usually complain. I wear sweatshirts all the time in the winter, but I usually just go out and shovel without a coat. I do wear gloves, because I frost bit my fingers once skiing. We are going to get hit again this weekend, but to make it more interesting , it is suppose to rain first then snow. so now when we shovel, it will be like shovling water out of a pool. Then the plow will come by and fill in the end of the drive way!!! so, I will take Florida 20 degrees and no snow over this. I have been asking the same question you are all thinking of. "Why do I still live here!!!" Family is the answer.

When I was growing up in FL I thought 40 was freezing cold :rotfl: Now if the temp gets above 30 it feels kinda warm out.

I am not looking forward to the higher temps and rain, all it does is make a big slushy mess that freezes into ice slicks...not fun.

John, I'm with you, FL should not be that cold! What is the point of living there if you have to be cold?

Lots of snow in northern NJ. Cold too. fireplace running 24/7 plus heat. Grandsons sledding & building snow forts. Fun, but cold. Walking Molly with her little pink parka on (one of these days I'll figure out how to get the picture from my camera onto the computer). Have to head home next Sun/Mon depending on the weather reports. Hope it's warmer there when I get there.

OK - I know MANY of you are in MUCH colder places. And a lot of you got hit with some pretty bad winter storms - but this is important because it affects ME :lmao:

We just had our third night in a row where the temps fell below freezing for several hours. I have lived here long enough to see frost and even snow flurries/flakes but I can't ever remember it getting this cold, ever.

This is Florida and it's supposed to be warm!!

OK - now you can share your weather related stories. Just keep in mind that it won't make me feel any better because it doesn't affect me :rotfl:

Ah John. :thumbsup2

You've bought our state publicity. Please thank the marketing dept of the state of Florida.

I'm tired of being cold too but this weather is not unexpected it's happened before.

Yes I am a cold weather wimp. But y'all come talk to me when it's a hundred degrees out and 100% humidity and we will see how well you do.

:sad1: We left WDW on Sunday to come home to Texas. The drive home was VERY windy and bitter cold. When we got out of the SUV on Sunday night at our hotel in west Florida, I felt like Bill took a wrong turn and we were in Colorado. The wind made it feel even colder! The closer we got to home on Monday, the warmer the temperature got. At one point, I noticed the temp at night was HIGHER than what it had been in the daytime in FL. Go figure! :confused3

:cool2: It is nice to be home ...

I was driving in my car yesterday with the sunroof open and the A/C on low. It was almost 70! Who knew we had to leave the Caribbean and Florida to get some warmer weather. ;) It is suppose to get cooler this weekend. I'll think of y'all when I am snuggled up in my pink Snuggie by the fire this weekend. Keep warm!

:goodvibes Jennifer

It's supposed to get really cold in Southern California tonight and for the next few days; down around freezing in many places overnight. Look for lots of people bundled up when you tune in to the Rose Parade!
