Three hours on hold

Today was the 7 month mark for me so I called MS at 9 sharp (I wanted to switch and it was a holiday.) It was an odd call, I have never had so many rings before being answered. Then there were rings like I was being transferred but nothing. I finally got the message that there is high volume and wait, which I did......for three hours before hanging up.

I have a lot of patience, two phones, so one could charge and my Chromebook on my lap, so not too bad. Right after hanging up I called back and got the normal response with a predicted 25 minute wait which it was. Got the resort I wanted, thankfully, and let the woman know what happened. I also sent an email to member satisfaction.

Great way to spend the morning, but we got Copper Creek, yeah!
 
Early registration began today for Food & Wine Fest seminars. DVC received 2-day advance booking window along with modest discounts on weekday sessions.
 
Today was the booking opening for Food and Wine, which you could book via DVC Member Services. That's part of your problem.

The other is the "black hole" of the DVC phone system. Which they deny exists. But I once left a phone on hold with them for 7 hours. (took half an hour to get through on the other line) When I sent them a photo of the phone with the hold time they basically came up with a bunch of lies to respond...

We pay for that service LOL!

You are seeing a business that can't conduct business. So called "website" keeps failing, phone system overloaded.... and all you wanted to do was to give WDW MONEY.

Does this sound like a serious BUSINESS to you? Any business that lacks the ability to take in money has a serious Management issue.

WDW has never done the following - yet, I can get this service from my local "dinky" utility company....

1) I call, they are busy.
2) They offer me the option of a CALL BACK - no loss in line position. They tell me WHEN they will call back (apx).
3) It always works. I don't HAVE to sit on a speakerphone for hours on end.

This is all simple technology. If WDW can't get a Website that stays up and works? Well, consider THIS approach. Get a Website, or get what a dink utility in MI has.

But for Gods sake - find a way to get the MONEY.

The way I understand it is that DVCMC gets paid via our dues, if they don't hire enough CM's or pay to update software/websites, they get to keep more of the money. In addition, DVC owners are calling in to book rooms that they already paid for, no extra income for Disney, all rooms will be booked by someone all year long. They do not have to provide good service because we have no choice, they have us and they know it.

I've gotten the same odd rings & void. Hung up after 5 minutes, called back & then waited double the anticipated wait time the recording stated. This, trying to grab a Soarin' tour, unsuccessfully.

I called MS this morning at 9am. Went through the prompts & was immediately connected with absolutely no waiting!
 
I got a response after the email I sent and he didn't say much, just told me about Food and Wine starting. My initial call was dropped into the deep dark black hole.
