We were told by crew that once capacity gets higher, there will be 3 dining times rather than 2 to allow for required social distancing in the dining rooms. Did not get the exact times. Three times are already on the comment cards - early, middle and late.

Yes, I noticed the 3 dining times on the comment cards last month. Wondered if that was where dining times were headed.

They should keep this forever. Always found the dining rooms way too crowded and cramped.

All they need to do now is improve the quality of the food (as in actually cook the vegetables) and get soke variation to the qge old menus now! Who here doesn't know each menu off by heart?! I'm sure, if they were allowed, DCL chefs could come up with some great new items!

Just back from the Sept. 24th on the Dream and didn’t notice anything about a 3rd dining time. We had early dining with a time of 5:30pm. So if they add a 3rd dining time when do you think the dining hours will become then? Think they will add a later time or earlier time. Right now they are the Main Seating begins between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM and the Second Seating begins between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM.

I would think they would add a Really Early time and compress the existing early and late dining because they don't need as much time to serve fewer cruisers during each time slot (way too many use of "time" in one sentence). The shows would remain the same 2 time slots because that would be a scheduling nightmare to put on 3 shows.

My guess would be 4:30, 6:30 and 8:30 for dining.

Didn't the Dream offer 3 seatings when she first sailed? I don't think it lasted very long before shifting to 2 seatings -- maybe even just a couple of months. I vaguely remember discussing dining and show times when we first booked.

Hmm... maybe it was 2 dinner seatings and 3 shows? I recall discussing how it would all fit together because we had to choose at the time of booking. By the time we sailed (not the maiden), it was 2 dinner seatings and 2 shows, but there definitely had been a choice of 3 for either dinner or shows.

Not a fan of 3 dinner seatings. It is fine the way it is. I don't mind the crowds at dinner. Makes things interesting. This will also likely impact the live shows.
Yes, temporary COVID adjustments notwithstanding, I don't know how they plan to convince people to eat at 4.30pm or 5.00pm - or really late - in enough numbers to make a difference. The dinners have shows too. We find the current eating times just about the right length.

They are meeting CDC requirements for social distancing/occupancy.

I'm good with this; we're the kind of family that likes to be in and out in 1 hour anyway. However, hesitant because I'm worried about how that would affect the shows.

Could it mean that they are doing 3 different times for early and late seatings? They did the years ago.
Something like this:
Early 5:15, 5:30 and 5:45
Late 7:45, 8:00 and 8:15
If I remember correctly each restaurant had a different start time

This isn't a covid thing. It's permanent.
We were told it’s due to capacity and social distancing requirements. I have not been told nor read anywhere that it’s permanent. I don’t think super early or super late is going to be popular.
