I guess you should stick with boiled carrots, then.I have had a couple of people say the same thing. To the point they brought me samples. Nope. Still kale, not fit for human consumption

Raw or boiled, love carrots.I guess you should stick with boiled carrots, then.
They should keep this forever. Always found the dining rooms way too crowded and cramped.
We would gladly eat that early. I can't eat a heavy meal close to bed time and I am an early to bed person(worked at 3am for years). 5 is definitely not too early to eat. I never understood how people can eat a full meal right before bed with the late seating that they have.
I get that people stay up late and that is why the late dining works for you. I have no issues with that, they can serve all night for all I care. My point is there seems to be much less understanding on the part of late diners for those of us who like to eat early and go to bed early. Why does anyone care if I want to eat dinner at 4 and go to bed at 9.I mean I can't speak for everyone, but I love late dining... but then you assume I'm going to bed right after dinner... bed time for us isn't until around 2am.

No one has a problem with you doing that. I think people are worried about potentially having to eat dinner at that time, if no other dining times are available for their cruise. Why does anyone care if I want to eat dinner at 4 and go to bed at 9.
People get a time that they don't want now. I hate that they automatically stick me with late dining and I always have to have them move me. There is no way to make everyone happy. Having that extra 3rd earlier seating will at least at least ease up the demand for the the other 2. The second seating has always been less popular then main so it won't affect that seating at all.I agree. I don't care what time people eat but I am sure with 3 dining times some people will get a time they really don't want. I would think that by the time we cruise in Feb. this might be something they'd implement if they decide to go that way. I do like 5,7,9. I'd prefer the 7.
But how is that any different then main dining filling up and forcing people to take the late seating when they don't want it? I will say what everyone says to those who don't want late seating, eat somewhere else. Doesn't feel so nice when the shoe is on the other foot, does it?No one has a problem with you doing that. I never criticized you, or your dining preference, or ever said "eat somewhere else". I simply answered your question. But how is that any different then main dining filling up and forcing people to take the late seating when they don't want it? I know, I was speaking to the collective group that always seems to keep telling everyone to eat somewhere else when they have issue with the main dining rooms. Didn't mean to imply that you had issues with it.I never criticized you, or your dining preference, or ever said "eat somewhere else". I simply answered your question.
I remember working in a restaurant in my college days (30 years under my belt since then, so a lot has changed). It was a steakhouse and kale was used as a garnish. If someone asked, we told them "Its Kale. It's a garnish. It's not poisonous, but I wouldnt eat it." LolI have had a couple of people say the same thing. To the point they brought me samples. Nope. Still kale, not fit for human consumption

I wish there were more options for late night entertainment. Everything closes down by midnight. The nightclub is open but there normally isn't anyone there after midnight. At least not on the cruises we've been on.
Midnight?! Ship was pretty much vacant by 10 pm. We were on a New Year's cruise, huge party in the attrium, but by 12:10 am, empty. But that suits Disney cruisers just fine. That's why there is no Midnight buffet either. Never been on a cruise where passengers were so early to bed, and judging from kids screaming the halls at 5:45 am on a sea day, early to rise.I wish there were more options for late night entertainment. They really need around 2 hrs per seating though to give the staff a bit of turnaround time between dinner seatings and to account for kitchen delays and slower eaters. We are the latter because we always did all four courses and coffee/after dinner drinks (DH or I would run the kids up to the club after they ate) so with a 5:45 arrival. We were usually done around 7:15/7:30 I could see we were on the slower side as other tables emptied out before us but we were by no means alone. One hour earlier wouldn’t be nearly enough, and DCL is not going to kick out people who haven’t finish their Mickey cappuccinos. It’s interesting when I try to plan dinner times when we travel. I just got back from Sedona Arizona. I was comfortable eating really early because the time difference it was two hours later then what I have in Wisconsin. We got the last reservation at 4 o’clock at a really nice restaurant which was fine by me because it was 6 o’clock my time. But in Florida a 4:00 reservation would have been like a very late lunch. After Theather in NYC I’m tired but starved.
At our very first cruise in 2010, 2 teenage table-mates who were falling asleep in their chairs.at late seating, they were just too tired to eat and couldn’t handle the time change.
I wonder if they cou do one entire rotation an hour earlier and kept the other two rotations as is, I’ll bet that would help those with younger kids. I’d love to take the earlier-late dinner. Although I suspect that would bollocks up the whole schedule for shows and other entertainment.
