three decades of waiting completely revamped with pics

So, I spent time preparing for this ultimate vacation, we take vacations every year, but it's always somthing like a trip to our cabin up north, which is nice, but it gets so monotonous, we would also go to Chincoteague, Va. [/U]

Chincoteague, Va?? Wow, my dad's fam is from there! I just love it there, although I haven't been in about 5 years, and I love meeting people who actually know what/where it is!!

By the way, I am loving your trip report, even if I did just start reading it at work this morning. Work...hmm...yeah, I'm just not into it today

Hey, what's up with the faceless child??? I have to say she's a little creepy!!!

The faceless child came with the resort package... No, I covered her face because I don't know her and I'm sure her parents wouldn't want their baby's face plastered clear as day for all to see, it's my way of protectecting the innocent. See? postits work in many ways.

I spent 2 years of my life there as a Coast Guard dependant. My dog is buried in my old yard at 6005 Hill Ln. I really like Chincoteague, but the storms have ravaged the beach and it's not as nice as it used to be. But we always eat dinner at Marias while were there and then go to the island creamery for dessert. Good times. Always nice to meet a fellow (almost) Teaguer.

I hope this is not breaking a rule, but doggone it, I have to let it out, I just spent 5 1/2 hours in the ER with Reese, the DR. was going to bring her some pain meds, an hour later he comes back and says "oh, she's sleeping, I guess it doesn't hurt that bad." She freakin cried herself to sleep you moron. All I could do to keep from crying was work out in my head my itinerary and where I should make ADR's for my trip to WDW this Dec. Disney Magic got me through it, but poor Reese, I'm about to put that kid in a plastic bubble. Sorry guys, there's no one else up at this time, and I feel like I'm talking to friends now. Anywho, I'm off to bed now. It's time for Disney dreams.

I guess I should have said why I took Reese to the ER, She was doing a back handspring and hyper extended her wrist, it was swollen and purple, so I thought it should be looked at, she is in a splint now, but we were assured she would be ready for her cheer comp on the 25th this month. Should I trust the DR's there? Back in Jan they said her knee was just a sprain and sent her home, a follow up with our family Dr. and an MRI showed it was a bone contusion and they couldn't rule out a fracture. I am sure she is fine, but I will folow up with our Dr. anyway. Thankyou for your concern. Kent is away getting another certification for his business, I feel most alone when my kids are hurt and he's not here. It's nice to have friends on the Dis.

I ran track and cross country for 8 years in high school and college, believe me it takes a huge toll on your body. Reese will be thankful for not putting herself through that Theres always next year being that she's young and she'll be even stronger! Best Wishes recuperating!

Thank you, coming from a cross country veteran your words carry alot of weight and Reese feels a little less guilty for dropping track now.

I don't want to turn anyone against cheerleading, it is a sport that is hard on the knees, wrists and ankels, but it has also given Reese so much pleasure, really in the years she has been doing this, she's never had any problems like this. Her self esteem has shot through the roof and the bonds you form with your team mates are ever lasting. You would never know that on her comp squad she cheers with girls that outside of the orginization are her school rivals. Your daughter starting at such a young age will learn so many skills that will help her in everyday life. It's so much fun, Just a tip for tryouts...judges base alot of their decisions on smiles.
