Weird that there's a two-page thread but no one asked when you are going yet. Ratatouille will presumably be opening this summer. It's true that there is a lot of construction, but there are still a good number of rides and attractions there. My kids (ages 9, 7 and 4) like Epcot the best, especially Test Track and Soarin'. They would actually prefer multiple days at Epcot over MK!
We’re booked for mid-May. Who knows if WDW will be open by then or not, but we’ll wait and see. I personally think the shut down will continue past the end of March. If we have to rebook, I’ll have to check on resort availability, airfare, and if I can get the PTO approved.
We will probably skip TT. The outside part might be a little too intense for her, based on her response to other rides last summer. Last year we went to
Legoland, and did a VR ride with similar techniques to Soarin’ and DD really didn’t like it. She will be a year older, so maybe she will be more adventurous this time. We’re doing FEA for our tier 1, and will probably rope drop it, too.
If Ratatouille is open, I think she’ll love that. I also think she’ll like SE, Figment, Turtle Talk with Crush, etc. The tamer rides, basically. I’m hoping to catch some of the WS entertainment like the Chinese acrobats.
If Six Flags opens before our trip, I’m going to take her to test her ride tolerance. Obviously not a 1:1 comparison to the WDW rides, but might give me a better idea of how adventurous we can be.
