Three days at MK and one at Epcot or two days at each?

7 day trip. Non hoppers. I'm there with my 4-year-old daughter for whom everything will be new. I've decided on 1 day AK and two days DHS, but trying to decide how much time I should dedicate to Epcot. I'm pretty sure MK will be her favorite park. If we did 3 at MK, we would do it day 1,4,7 with the others sandwiched in between. Second guessing myself with Epcot.
One day will be more than enough at EPCOT. That park bores most kids beyond the few things geared for them. Heck, it bores many adults too. There’s a lot of construction there right now too. After our half day there, we only returned because the Flower and Garden Festival started and flitting from food kiosk to food kiosk like pollinating bees 😉 🌺🐝🌸 was fun, but not for our autistic 12 YO. He just wanted to leave and go swimming.

In a family of 5 and usually traveling with grandparents and other family, I am the only one after numerous trips who cares at all about Epcot. Epcot day is usually met with boos and boredom from my kids. Someday I will go by myself and really take my time in the WS. They are all Debby downers. I have never convinced anyone to return a 2nd time inside of one trip, even with park hoppers in the evenings.

Weird that there's a two-page thread but no one asked when you are going yet. Ratatouille will presumably be opening this summer. It's true that there is a lot of construction, but there are still a good number of rides and attractions there. My kids (ages 9, 7 and 4) like Epcot the best, especially Test Track and Soarin'. They would actually prefer multiple days at Epcot over MK!

I agree with others to do 3 days at MK. There's soooooo much to do there for a 4-year-old.

I really doubt your 4-year-old is going to want to wait in more than a couple lines to meet characters, but of course I don't know you guys and could be wrong on that!

We’re booked for mid-May. Who knows if WDW will be open by then or not, but we’ll wait and see. I personally think the shut down will continue past the end of March. If we have to rebook, I’ll have to check on resort availability, airfare, and if I can get the PTO approved.

We will probably skip TT. The outside part might be a little too intense for her, based on her response to other rides last summer. Last year we went to Legoland, and did a VR ride with similar techniques to Soarin’ and DD really didn’t like it. She will be a year older, so maybe she will be more adventurous this time. We’re doing FEA for our tier 1, and will probably rope drop it, too.

If Ratatouille is open, I think she’ll love that. I also think she’ll like SE, Figment, Turtle Talk with Crush, etc. The tamer rides, basically. I’m hoping to catch some of the WS entertainment like the Chinese acrobats.

If Six Flags opens before our trip, I’m going to take her to test her ride tolerance. Obviously not a 1:1 comparison to the WDW rides, but might give me a better idea of how adventurous we can be.
