Three Broomsticks Breakfast?

I’m planning on hitting rope drop at IOA next month and am considering breakfast at Three Broomsticks. I haven’t ever had breakfast here and have a few questions.

Do you still need to request a “ticket” at your resort? If so is it a prepaid thing?

Can I order a kids breakfast? I have a very small appetite, get the kids lunch fairly often and have never had a problem.

I hate eggs. Is this something I can ask to be left off of my plate?

Thanks!

As far as I know, to reserve the Three Broomsticks breakfast you have to do it through your vacation package with Universal (i.e. you can't just make a reservation on a website like for other restaurants). I will be there on Thanksgiving week, and I just called to make a reservation through Universal but was told they are all booked up all week already. If you can get a spot, you should be able to do it online with your package. If you are not staying onsite or with a package then I don't know how to do it. I don't know about requesting a "ticket" at your resort, but maybe I'll try that when I do (I'm staying at RPR).

There is an adult price and a kids price (it is all fixed price). I am sure you can ask for no eggs and they'll have something for you. :)

Whether or not they are still doing the prepurchase reservations I am not sure, but when they were doing it you could book it at the vacation planning desk in the lobby of your universal resort. It was pre-pay at the time.

I believe, but am not going to swear to it cause I could be wrong, that you could only book ahead of your trip if you had booked a ticket and room package. If you have a room only reservation then you have to wait until you get there to book it in the lobby.

for RPR the vacation planning desk is right next to luggage services. I don't know about the other resorts.

I've no idea about doing the kids meal for an adult but certainly wouldn't hurt to ask.

I've had many times when I've just walked up and gotten a table and only once where I was turned away because they were doing reservations only so whether you need one or not who knows. They never seem to be very consistent in their policies

Thanks for the replies. My plan is to rope drop Hagrids during EE and then head to 3 Broomsticks. It would be a Tuesday in early December. I’ve rope dropped Hagrids many times and feel pretty confident that I can be near the front of the line. I’ll be solo and bagless which help. It’s not a huge deal the line at the restaurant is too long, I’ll just skip it and grab a Starbucks. I thought I’d give it a try just for the experience.
