Three bedroom suites?

DH and I are wanting to take both of our parents (yes, they get along) to DL next year for a few days. I called and talked to a CM today and (despite what websites say) there are three bedroom suites at all three DL resort hotels. DH and I prefer Grand Californian in general, but I'm open to the other hotels this trip. I'm also not sure if we should instead go with three seperate rooms instead. Everyone gets along, but five days is five days.

Is there anyone out there who has stayed in any of these suites? Did you like it/not like it? Pictures?

I checked into staying in a 3 bedroom suite for our trip in May. But I decided to go with 3 rooms instead. We were able to get the senior discount so it was much less expensive to get the seperate rooms. If any of the parents are 60 or older they can book 2 rooms at the senior rate. If two of the parents are 60 than you can book all 3 rooms at the senior rate. It saved us about 30%.

I'm afraid that I don't have any pictures.

We could go with the 60+ discount, however we're wanting to do this as a surprise. Tell them to have the time off, pack for certain weather and lots of walking...if they want to guess when they see that we're to Anaheim, then so be it, but have it as a big surprise.

I also keep latching on to the idea of the shared parlor area for everyone...I think that they'd just really enjoy it.

Thank you for responding!

The 3 bedroom suite at the Grand Californian is a living room with couch, 2 chairs and table & chairs, flat screen TV with DVD player that has a master bedroom with a king size bed and then there are 2 regular bedrooms (2 queen beds in each) that are connected to it; you can close the connecting doors and have your privacy or quiet or leave them open and have a large suite. The living room has a large balcony and each bedroom has a smaller balcony. The GC is VERY close to the front entrance of the Magic Kingdom and has its own entrance into California Adventure. Great pools and restuarants and LOTS of atmosphere.

The Disneyland Hotel is also great but I've never stayed in a suite so I can't help you there.

Enjoy the planning and good luck with the surprise :cool1:

If you decide to go with the senior discount, I was told that the senior just needs to show ID at checkin. You can make the ressies. So it could still be a surprise. I would ask about a senior discount for the suite. You never know what answer you'll get!!

If you can pull it off, I would definitely go with the GC, only because that's where we are wanting to stay there next and the private entrance to DCA is so convenient and they are closer to DL than the other two hotels. However, we did just get back from a stay in a two bedroom suite at DLH and the room itself and the view were fabulous and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. It was wonderful to have everyone in the common area, yet able to have privacy when/if it was needed.
