Any idea which resort(s) in Cocoa Beach are labeled as 3 1/2 stars on Hotwire? Rate isn't that good, but it might depend on which resort(s) are potentially available.
Probably either the Hilton or the Doubletree. Neither place is spectular, but I'm sure they'd classify themselves as 3½ stars. If the rate's not that good, I'd wait and try again later.
I didn't use Hotwire - but I used Priceline and got the Doubletree (three rooms for two nights) for $39 a night. The lowest price posted on their website for my dates was $130.
I was booked at the Raddisson for $119.00 in a suite - but to save this much money and the Doubletree is on the beach - it was worth it!
Mmouse37 is staying there soon - and I asked her to give us an update on the hotel - I haven't seen a trip report on this hotel lately.
Just kidding, tpseller. I saw your earlier post about Priceline and tried that. It rejected my bid at $39 and a second at $43. I thought I'd give hotwire a shot and that is where I was offered the 3 1/2 * resort, but at $80 per night. Not really interested, unless it was some extraordinary place I was unaware of.
I will wait three days and try Priceline again. How far out did you make your reservation? Thanks!
I saw the post by Mmouse37 and decided to try it myself. Mmouse37 - I think got the rooms about a month or so before the cruise. I have heard you have the most luck within the 30 day window.
Even though my cruise is not till Early May, I decided to try anyway. So I was booking about 3 months out.
I got a room for my parents and one for my family for two nights. Then I went back on about 10 minutes later and got another room for my inlaws for one night. I was worried that they might put them at another hotel - but luckily we got the same one.
