I'm not a big gore fan. I love the Twilight Zone. They had a marathon over 4th of July weekend on the Sci-Fi channel. We saw the William Shatner episode where he can see the gremlin on the wing of the plane but nobody else can. One of my favorites is the episode where these differently dressed people are all trapped in a room that they keep trying to get out of. They keep hearing a dong, dong noise every hour or so but are not sure what is making it. Finally one of them gets out and the audience sees that they are all dolls in a donation box that is located on a street corner near a large clock that dongs every hour. The doll that got out is then placed back in the box. Weird!

I can handle the Twilight Zone. I watched it before reruns! Isn't it funny to see William Shatner in the old things? I remember that episode too. Wasn't there one about people trapped and living in a doll house?

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, there is a guy who has a few mental issues; and he either works for or visits a museum where there is a doll house on display. When he looks through the windows he cans see that the dolls are alive. One is a woman whom he ends up falling in love with. He wants to protect her from some oily guy (also a doll) who is trying to push her in to marriage or kill her or something, I think. The guy's family thinks he's cracking up again and try to get him medical help. He ends up sneaking out of the house and going to the museum to help the woman in the doll house. His family figures he is going to the doll house and try to find him at the museum. He is no where to be found! It's like he disappeared into thin air. The camera does a close up of the doll house and we the audience get to see the guy in there with the woman (doll) that he has fallen in love with.

LOVE the Twighlight Zone. I have seen em' all too! You can watch it online (legally) if you have that Veoh player thing.

That is a good episode btw...

I like the one where the sun is falling to earth and everyone is burning up hot and it turns out the lady is dreaming and she has a fever because of the severe cold because the earth is actually moving away from the sun.

Or the one where the guys spaceship crashes on some planet that looks a lot like earth and he thinks he is all alone until he meets a woman. They don't tell you the peoples name until the very end and turns out his name is ADAM and her name is EVE.

Rod Sterling had a pretty neat spin on things.

I remember those two episodes. They were good too!

:offtopic: But does anyone have the Entertainment Book? I have one at home but....HSN has a two Roomba set on sale and with the Entertainment Book number, I can get an additional $10 off...every little bit counts! My mother has been threatening to kidnap Edgar and the only way to keep her hands off him is give her one of her own!

Its supposed to be an 11 digit membership number....

(But HSN one is the newest model, so she may just get one and I'll keep the other one)

I used to come home from school to watch Dark Shadows. :)

I got some bad news today.
A school teacher friend/neighbor of ours husband passed away Friday. He was 29 and they have a 7 month old daughter. I have spent this morning argueing on the "boards" regarding the new booking policy, and talked with DVC Customer Satisfaction Team about how people are trying to "walk" reservations" (Check it out on DVC planning-changes to reservation-thread)....anyways. I finally told them on the board that, if it comes to "gaming" the system, being unethical about getting a DVC reservation, then I will sell our contract, rent points, or pay cash (blasphemy I know) but in the whole grand scheme of things, it's only Disney and there are many places in this world to experience.
I can't help but feel sorry for my friend that she and her husband will never take that precious little daughter of theirs to see the princesses and "they-on the other thread"are worried about "beating everyone out" of a day or two at WDW.

Sorry to be a bummer.

Oh Bopsmom....how terribly sad for that young family! I cannot even begin to understand what a tragedy that is. Even typing now, my eyes are tearing a bit just thinking of that beautiful baby and the incredible pain her mother must be feeling. I'm adding them to my prayers. It just seems that my prayers are getting longer and longer, there's just so much pain in the world today. I'm sending my strength to you and your friend, it must be so difficult even to breathe right now.

Too often, people forget that the true magic of Disney is being able to share it with someone you love.

Bopsmom-that is so incredibly sad. Hugs to your friend, her daughter, and their whole family. I'll keep them all in my prayers.

Unfortunately, there are too many self-centered people in this world. My cousin's BIL was in some type of motorcycle accident last week near Phila. He's in a medical induced coma right now. My cousin's husband is upset because his brother was not on friendly terms with him. He had tried to make amends but no results. It's a tough way to have to face tragic news. At times, it does seem the bad is overtaking the good in this world. We just have to have faith and remember that God knows the beginning to the end and everything in under His control.

I see I missed alot today. DH was home today because of rain so he took over the computer. We also had to get DH and DS to get fitted for their tuxes for my dad's wedding. Also did a quick stop at the Disney Store since I gave up ordering online. They were having a good clearance sale too and got quite alot of summer stuff. And I ventured into JC Penney and bought myself a swim suit. I haven't bought one for a few years and now I remember why. :lmao:

Shmu-You brought Puny to our thread!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: I've missed Puny. :hippie:

M&N-You're right, Pikester can have Pedre. But I'll fight you Puny's heart.

Bopsmom-I know I commented before but it really makes you put things into persepctive. It seem like so many people on here are just looking for ways to scam disney or "work the system" so to speak. Don't they even realize how lucky to go in the first place.

I don't remember too many of Twilight Zone episodes. Now that you all brought them up, they sound familiar. Does anyone know if they sell them on DVD? From what I do remember of them now, they sound like something DD12 would enjoy.

Sorry about your cousin's BIL. You said it all with this one little sentence.

 oh goodness M&N...life is just too short to hold gurdges. There's so much wonderful out there to be experienced. I'm adding "M&N's cousin's BIL" to my list tonight...

Speaking of scamming...Just looked at the autograph page thread and she closed it down because someone was selling her page designs in an autograph book on ebay. Where are the honest, caring people outside of this thread? You know they have to be out there somewhere.

I haven't seen that thread but I used to hang out on the Creative Designs board. They are so talented over there and very nice to share all their designs with anyone who wants one. I used quite a few last year on our trip for tshirts. Unfortunately, one of the best designers over there had the same thing happen to her. I just can't understand people. The things I see on the disboards sometimes is truly shocking.

I'll just hang out here with my friends. :hippie:
