Hello friends! Have to go back and catch up, but I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday weekend. I sure did! I finally got the guys at the train station on Friday and we met Mom at the outlets for a full day of shopping!

I'm fairly close to the outlets, and I've never seen it so busy! There were lots of sidewalk sales and we had a really good time. We went to the raceway to see the fireworks and although we had seats in the grandstand, you really couldn't see very much...but after a full day of shopping, we were too lazy to get up really! So we watched the guys who light the fireworks (no high tech here! and afterward we went downstairs for midnight breakfast brunch---which was really good and only $5! Following that, we hit the slots and there was a good band, so we joined a family reunion and danced into the wee hours of the morning!

We got up kinda late on Saturday and drove over the mountain to Kingston to make our pilgrimage to the Tonner Doll Store. We spent three hours in there looking at dolls and talking with the fantastic manager--Dr. Noreen. She's a doll doctor, a "plastic surgeon"! How funny. I wasn't planning on getting anything, but they had the last Scarlett O'Hara in the window, dressed in the opening picnic dress and I had to have her!

We ended the evening with a late show of Wall-E and it was so cute and such a good movie--I recommend it highly! And of course, we had to feed again, so we once again had a midnight breakfast, only this time at the diner.

Yesterday we got up late and literally sped to the train station. I kicked Alan out of the car to get tickets while Quincy and I unloaded the car. The train was there before we got all the bags out! Just in time.

Anyway, I have some pics too! The first is from this weekend at the doll shop, the others are of the wedding and my best girlfriends. I'm obviously the one in all the common pics. And you get to see my big hair! Ok, now I'll go back and see what all my TKers have been up to in my absence....

I think your hair looks great and I love the color of your dress!

Hi Pikester! And thanks! How's te DS's leg feeling today? And congrats on the bike riding!

Ok, here's what I remember....

whgrn...have a safe and happy trip! Take lots of pics! And you are a workout goddess for using the elliptical on vacation!

D&D....glad to hear you're not in pain anymore, although I'm still kinda worried about the "mystery pain". You all packed for Colorado?

Bopsmom...the SIL sounds like a piece of work (and not a good one!). Hope the champagne helped out a little. You have a good heart and are a shining light in all the little ones.

Lighttech...how you feeling? Vegeterian, huh? My college housemate was a vegeterian, and they have some pretty good "faux meat" products out there. But the menu gets pretty monotonous. Good luck with it though!

Pikester and M&N...I used to read those trashy novels too. But I'm such a reader, I go through them like crazy. I will recommend Diana Gabaldon. She writes big fat time travelling books. They're great! Ooh...and Josie Litton too! They write trilogies, which I happen to love, I get really attached to my characters...

Sounds like everyone had an INTERESTING holiday!

Vegitarian????? I don't think I could do it. I soooooooo love my red meat products. :cloud9: I know its bad for me, but its just so good!!!!

5 Days and counting I am mostly packed, except for clothes (kids & myself) and last minute stuff for the cooler. (Why is it that DH only has to pack for himself???)
I've been checking out the Camping thread here for some good easy recipes too.

Wait, how do you get DH to pack for himself? I still haven't figured out how to get mine to do that. :rotfl:

MagiKitty-Sounds like you had a nice weekend. So, Wall-E was good? We were going to take our kids this past weekend but, well, they were just in one of those moods so we skipped it. Maybe this weekend, it's still playing at our local theater. Love the pics and the color on the dress is awesome. Wish stepmom would have picked a color like that.

M&N-Welcome back!!! I'll try not to brag too much after this weeks race. :lmao:

M&N - Are they Nascar novels? Or trashy Nascar novels?? No one's taken that Kasey Kane commercial and gone too far w/ it have they? :rotfl:
Speaking of Nascar - I haven't heard any arguing btw the Racetrack and M&N camp. You're not going soft on me are you M&N? :lmao: The winner certainly caused an uproar around here as usual, but Wow! what an ending to watch. It got just a wee bit crazy there.
Ok, well, off to finish the grocery list. For some unknown reason, DH has decided to try being a vegetarian for a few weeks! :confused3 I don't have any issue w/ the concept, its just that he's a confirmed carnivore. I have no idea what's gotten into him. He just randomly announced on the way home from our weekend that he thought he'd "give it a try for a while." I thought he was joking... Especially since he'd just finished a Prime Rib dinner.

Ok, gotta log off or I'll never get anything done...

They are the trashy kind but not too trashy. :rotfl: I think 2 come out every month. Sometimes they will mention a real driver but not always.
Good luck on the veggies. Shall we wager on how long that will last?
On the real race front...Racetrack has resorted to emailing me to brag about 18...she cannot wait until I get on our thread. ;) I guess she doesn't want to seem to be bragging too much.

I bet racetrack had given up on me tonight anyway. We had a terrible storm here...lasted a long time too. I lost my electricity for about 50 min. The house on the corner faces the other street and they had power so I could open my drapes and look out and see lights. The street behind me had theirs too. A ploiceman lives in my block so I knew they would be here soon. I hadn't emptied my rain gage so I'm not sure how much we got. I'm sure at least an inch.

I am so totally annoyed right now. :headache: Disneyshopping.com is having a great sale right now....40% off summer sale prices. I found a Mickey Mouse tankini for 8.00 and in my size. And a bunch of stuff I had put off buying for the kids for summer and vacation. Been on there all day and nothing but problems. Website down for maintenance, webpage not found, timed out becuase it's taken too long to load. I had a bunch of stuff in my cart and now everything is gone. Ugh!!! I can't even get the website to come up on the computer anymore. I am so aggrevated!!!!

Sorry, vent over. It just seems like everytime they do a good sale, they decide to mess with the website.

Can you go under your history thingie and get the page you had your orders on back? You might have to wait til the site is back up.
I was so glad I had mine off when the storm hit. It had rained earlier and I let it on hibernation but turned it off 5 min before the bad stuff hit.

Don't know. I didn't even think of that. I'll try now and see what happens. Just so frustrating, you know?

Exactly...just like writing here and then it won't post or you loose the multiquotes.

It's like I am in control but the computer actually is!

Nope, entire websiite is completely down. I'll just save the money and hope for a better sale.

I didn't forget about you....got some great pics for you...

At least he did not sound as if he did it all by himself this time...I think he gave his team some credit. I do think he enjoys the boos.

I was actually surprised he won. Didn't pick him at all. And yeah, he's loving the boos. Makes it much more fun.

Bopsmom is on...she's just ignoring us.

Maybe she just forgot what song title she posted has to go look it up. :lmao:

For your's....Fire and Rain-James Taylor, I think.

Just don't ask me to post any, I stink at this.

Watched the NASCAR show tonight and they said Chicago was going to be hard because it's at night and they cannot test there and don't know how the night racing will be.
I felt bad for Tony. Waltrip said he was still sick today and going to dr.
How do you feel about Mark going to Hendrix?
