In a few weeks, we will having the FIRST TKER MEET!!! I will be going to Hershey with my family and M&N will be meeting me there.

I'm not sure if I can check in tomorrow. I'm going to pick up Mom after her perm. We're going to the Jersey Shore on Friday. Wish it had not turned so hot. We lived in Salem, NJ around 1953. Mom's never been to Ocean City or Cape May. She's not a beachy person but my friend wanted to get her mom away for a few days and I told mine she was going too. She's not too thrilled when it got hot...I'm really not either but....what can you do? I saw the bad storms cut across the bay. I hope they didn't do much damage.
I'm going to try and get my friend to take a head shot of me for the flat TKer thing.

I didn't get to go down to the movie shoot but DH did video tape some of for me. You were able to see some explosions and gunfire. From the tape it looks like you could see pretty much. I know yesterday, 2 of the stars were here to film and the producer went for breakfast at the place where my SIL works. Got a couple of pics to share.

The first 2 helicopters are rumored to be "Transformers" and the one following is the the one with the camera.

The taller building in the background is our local steel plant. It is the backdrop of an Asian city in the movie.

Oh yeah! I forgot that I wanted to say something about the Jersey Shore. Whenever I have heard someone talking about Jersey I've heard them talk about the "shore". I personally have never been. I've been to the "coast" of Maine though. Once we were there we went to the "beach". Old Orchard and York.

Hi everyone. I live about 15 minutes from Pepper and I don't know about her, but we had a few sprinkles and thats about it. Heck, we didn't get enough rain to water the lawn.

Our 6 local news said the first storms went south of us, almost following PA/MD border. Showed how awful it was in DC. Now it loos like more coming but not as much red as the other one and not as big. With all these tornados you have to be careful.

I think my computer has a mind of it's own. I have it set up so that if I'm signed in here, I will get a little pop-up screen that tells me that someone has posted. Well, since you last replied here M&N, I've had the little pop-up 4 times and yet nobody has replied. I already think my house is haunted but now my computer too.

Da Da Da Da.Da Da Da Da--theme from Twilight Zone (maybe before your time! ) I just get clicks when I get an email or a door opening or closing when a person on my email buddy list comes online. That makes me jump sometimes.
I was posting a smilie lifting his eyebrow at a response to someone asking why the post times are not the actual time. The answerer was talking about a vortex or something strange.

He didn't do anything stupid, Thank God.
Long story short,
He found out his girlfriend of many years was cheating on him.
He got angry.
He is all OK now.
He has some very good friends and a fantastic set of parents.
He is back to my big ol lovable nephew.
I'll check in and catch up a little later.

OOOOHHH, I get to be first on this morning!! You all are such night owls, I just can't keep up, so I'll have to take the early bird spot.

Evening everyone! Storms look like they are heading our way...again. Sitting here in relative peace and quiet for a change. DH took the 2 older girls down the where the movie is filming. DS is grounded to his room right now and youngest DD is contently playing by herself. Of course this will most likely be the last moment of peace I get until school starts again.

whgrn-how'd things turn out with DD? All went well, I hope.

Are your kids done with school already?!? Wow, mine have 2 weeks left.

DD did fine. Her EEG showed some spikes, but no seizures. We are holding steady on her meds for now, and we go back in 6 weeks for an EEG and to see the doctor. Hopefully all will be well then, since it's 3 days before she leaves for camp!

Ahh, Bethlehem Steel. I've driven past there 100 times at least! My aunt and uncle live not too far from there. Not to mention 3/4 of my family went to Lehigh (seriously, my GF, my father, 3 uncles, 3 cousins, my brother and my sister, and I even took a summer course there in '81)

Well that just STINKS! Shame on her! Guess he's better off finding out now than marrying her and having it happen later. God has just the right girl picked out for him, and he'll find her when it's time! to him.

We had torrential rain last night--it was so loud it even drowned out the sound of the dishwasher! (sorry about the pun...) Today it's a bit cloudy, but dry. My pool is so full it would overflow if we got any more rain! Guess I've gotta go backwash a little...

DSis comes home in 2 weeks! I can't wait--I miss her SO much! She usually comes home twice a year, we got a bonus in January this year. We only get to Turkey about every 3 years. So I never see her enough.

I'm off to the gym and then I get to come home and play with the WiiFit. I want to get done before the kids get home and try to steal it away from me. I never thought I'd see the day I was fighting them for a "toy".

Morning Killers, started multiquoting last night and my DN called.

We had a thunderstorm last night so I wasn't on again. Thank Kyle for allowing someone else to win this week! Like that's going to happen--the let part.
I agree that the coffee idea was good. Something everyone would use even if they don't drink coffee. A person can only use so much stationary or candles.

Hi M&N I see your green light on, Guess you guys do get tired of candles and stationary.

Lighttech: It may not always be that much disorganization. When I had parents in I sometimes let things go that I would not have otherwise. I was pretty strict. He knows what you expect from him--of course it doesn't and won't always happen. I think it would be very confusing for little ones to see some getting away with stuff when they are not following the rules---I have a hard time with it to this day. How do you get your guy to keep obeyingin a situation like that is hard. I hope a lot of positive reinforcement works for him. I'm sure there are mommies out there that would say it didn't for them. Special 'him' times are important---especially when it's not just going to be him anymore. I took a child psychology class in grad school and at the end the prof said you can read all about other's ideas but what works best in the end is how you feel about it and what works best for you. And for that he made us buy his book and take tests?
They're calling for thunderstorms again today. Hopefully I'll be back on tonight.

Darn I quoted between your quote, anyhoo to bad you had to pay for the book but I guess it taught a good lesson, sort of boils down to trust your gut instincts.

Both need to be done, but I'll just do the left one in January. I did them both together the first time--NEVER AGAIN!! They don't last forever, and with my weight having been so high for so much of the time, it shortened the "life" of the implants. I was 34 the first time, I'll be 48 this time. Hopefully these will last 20 years with my lower weight, and I'll keep them until my late 60s. I'm waiting for January so I can change my insurance to something that will actually pay for the surgery (my HMO doesn't "participate' with this doctor or hospital). but the delay will have the bonus of less of me by then! The doctor would like to see me under 200# (I wouldn't mind either!) but we'll see where I end up. NOT that 31 pounds in 7 months is unreasonable--it certainly isn't. Possibly even more. I just don't know what my body is gonna do as the weight gets lower. I won't kill myself to lose the weight. Once i hit 210, I'm going to just keep doing what I'm doing, and see where I end up. I'd LOVE to be in the 180s, but that may be a pipe dream.

Just popping in to say hello. Our server is down for a few (Accounting system) so I figured I would take a few and say hello. I have not read back but I hope everyone is doing good.

Oh just a quick update: My dad had his test yesterday and we are now waiting on the results. The Dr. said something is growing in there, but he is not sure what. He does not want to speculate. Still staying positive. Pray for good news. The steroids he prescribed for the pnemonia seem to be working so I am still holding out hope that it is just some leftover "crud".

I will get caught up later tonight...or I will try to anyway.

Well we will be hoping that is all it is Prayers are with you.

Don't worry best time to go to the beach or down the shore, It will be so much cooler down there so enjoy and your mom will be more comfortable!
