I prefer hot glue or staples:thumbsup2
I threatened DD with one of the biker wallets with the big chain hangin' down. She was terrible about leaving her purse:sad2: -wallet and cell inside- all over the place. She has gotten better though.

I hope she has a safe trip. Tell her she will have to write us a TR:thumbsup2

DD is bad with the cell phone too. We find it all over the house, usually in DD4's hands calling China or someplace. :rotfl: DD is smart...honor roll every marking period and has never had a problem with any kind of school work. But man, when she isn't in school, she can be a scatterbrain. I love her with every ounce of my being but I swear once she steps outside those school doors, she turns off all brain activity.

Gosh, so much to catch up on and I'm tired and it's late. Was going to stop in to say a quick hi and hope to post tomorrow. See there has been a lot of sad news :grouphug: to all. Will try tomorrow to multi quote and give DS's story. DD's prom is Friday so we are in major prom prep, hair alterations on gown etc. So I'm beat. Talk to you all tomorrow. Hope all who are suffering loses feel a little bit of :goodvibes prayers are with you.

Hey pepperw23!!! Saw your other thread. I hear you about one of those days even though I don't work outside the house.

Sorry to hear about your Grandfather. Yeah, even if you "know", it still hurts. Keeping you and your family in my thougts.

So, Beaker has turned out to be weirdo? Oh, do post about that. He sounded so great since he does love to bake. How weird can he be?

Hi disney54us!!! Prom time...how exciting. At least for DD. What color is her dress? We'll be waiting to hear all about everything that has gone on lately.

Ha ha. I saw you on my silly thread. Didn't expect anyone to respond, but I am glad they did. Sometimes it helps to do something that just flat out makes you giggle. :rotfl:

Beaker interviewed "normal" but right out the gate day 1 he was strange.

first day: caught him in a lie from the interview, I let it go. In the interview he said he moved down here to support his wifes new job, but on day 1 he said now his wife can quit her "horrible job" Errrr?

Then I am sure you read about the whole GPS saga. :rotfl: He has since made another reference to where I live. eek!!!!

So here are some random stories:

Yesterday I was giving him some instructions and he just stared at me then randomly started laughing??? I have a really really good sense of humor but for the life of me can't figure out what is funny/strange about this statement I made to him..."Write down step by step what you are doing for expediting because I need to write a process because it is new."(the comment makes sense to a buyer...I promise lol)

Today he did it again!!! I said "grab those Purchase Orders and assign the numbers then we will go from there today" (I showed him how to do that last week) again the strange stare and laugh. I finally asked him what was funny and he said "oh I just do that sometimes, you will get used to it" :scared1: So another employee overheard him and jumped in and said "just randomly? You just bust out laughing?" and he said "yea" and looked at her like SHE was the idiot. :rotfl2:

Then there was the ice cream worker story. So we all know if you order chocolate and get strawberry, no big deal, just switch it right? Oh no, not this guy. He felt the need to go in to this big long story about the kid at the ice cream shop that got his order wrong, so he told him he was an idiot and asked to speak to the manager. I was expecting this really interesting story like the kid kept messing up or something, so I listened...but that was it, that was the story. He was all kind of upset haha.

These are just the ones I can think of off of the top of my head. No one will interact with him because they say he makes them nervous...really not sure what to do about Beaker. I am hoping he is just one of those people that does not know how to react in new situations. Oh yea, on day 2...DAY 2....I had to lecture him on refraining on making racial slurs and gay bashing....That is all I need is for someone to overhear him pulling that garbage, not to mention it is not nice.

So here lie the "early" Beaker stories. I am sure I will have plenty of them in days to come.

OMG!! The baking doesn't even make up for the weirdness. Ok, I can kinda get the little lie about the wife, everyone wants to look like a good guy in an interview. And I'll even believe the GPS was just a clueless mistake. But the random laughing would really freak me out. DH thinks I do that but I'm really just reading some of the outrageous thread on here. :lmao: (see random laughing) And complaining about one wrong ice cream order. He sounds like some of the people who post on here about how disney won't let them pool hop or make them wait in line when they paid all that money to go on vacation. He doesn't like disney, does he?

You know, with stories like these, you could start you're own thread just about working with him. Have you ever read the Miss Info thread by Evil Genius? They sound like a pair made in heaven right down to the racial slurs.

Hi again Disney54us!

Well, spent the weekend in NYC with my group of friends and family, and all I can say is I'M TIRED! It was so good to see everyone again and to have fun (we attended the Comic Convention and saw a show of the Kids in the Hall), but I am nursing a headache and am just dragging today. And I didn't even drink! I think my aging body just couldn't keep up. I'll try to post pics later on when I get them from my sister.

Nope, we managed to miss the Pope, but I got free street parking. My cousin was supposed to see him, but he left the barricaded area to get water and they wouldn't let him back in! His wife was furious at him! But she did get to see the Pope drive by...

BTW--I attended a panel about the new Disney film Wall-E and it was just adorable! I can't wait to see it. It looked so good. They also previewed the Prince Caspian, and the boys who play Prince Caspian and Peter were there. It looks good too, and I loved the first movie!

Sounds like a fun weekend well of course you were in the City. I must be in a fog Wall-E haven't heard anything about it.

Oh my gravy, I thought that had been sent off already:headache: (no smiley thunking forhead with palm of hand) Just checked DH's desk and there it sits. It will be on the way.
Don't worry about duplicating- I need reminders all the time.
Sorry to have made you ask.:upsidedow

Thanks, I felt funny asking, obvious not too much that I didn't:laughing: . Just your wonder seed packs sounded like so much fun! That would be me, I get on a roll then the last pkg. oops ends up a little later.

M&N-How'd you know? Am I that predictable? :rotfl2:

Bopsmom-I almost forgot but I think the animation program is only offered to the Y.E.S. program participants. I'll find out more when she gets home. It sounds like a pretty cool program and wish I could do it myself.

DD called early tonight. Everyone is totally worn out from being in the parks from rope drop until pretty late at night. They've gone to evening EMH most nights they have been there. They did the animation program this morning and they got to draw a pictures of Pluto. When she gets home, if it's ok with her, I'll scan it and post it for all of you. During the class, they also got to learn about Walt. Of course, since she is my DD, she said she already knew everything they talked about. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: Maybe I've done my job too well. :rolleyes1 They spent the rest of the day at Hollywood Studios. Jackie said the crowds were much smaller today and she got to ride TOT 3 times. :woohoo: Tomorrow is DTD for some shopping and they finally come home.

It was kinda a bad night here. DNeph's dog got hit by a car tonight and passed on. Their dog escaped from their yard and while they were out looking for him, they heard the accident. DNeph was with them while they looking for him and unfortunately saw the dog in the street after it happened. Poor kid was hysterical and rightly so. SIL and my nephew came up here while my brother took care of what needed to be done. We were able to at least get hm calmed down enough that he could at talk. Broke my heart to see him like that. :sad1: Bopsmom, even though you sent all those wonderful seed cards for my kids, I gave him the one of the morning glories to plant for his dog. I hope you don't mind but I wanted him to have something beautiful to remember his dog by instead of the image he has right now. And if you all don't mind, could you send a little pixie dust his way?

Oh dreamin how horrible for your nephew:hug: for him. It is bad enough to lose a dog, let alone in such a horrific manner and have to witness it.
That's a great idea about planting and reading how they will keep growing for years to come will be nice.

Dreamin:How sad. pixiedust: I know I wouldn't want to have seen it either. I'm sure it was a rough night. You were so sensitive to share your seeds. :flower3: I feel bad for the driver too. I hate it when a squirrel runs out in the street.
You can never do your job too well for your kids. I bet she's going to tell you lots when she gets home. I'm wondering how long that 1st conversation will be? Then later she'll say...I forgot to tell you...Then when you all go down again, she'll be pointing out places and telling you more stuff. It'll be cool. And why did you even ask if we wanted to see her drawings...:confused3 ...That's like asking is the sky blue? Of course!!!

My mom fell yesterday. She tripped on a space between her patio and yard. Thankfully the neighbor was out with her. She said she banged her head and bent her glasses. She scraped her hand and arm. She was shook up but didn't want me to come. She said she has bruises today. She has 2 knee replacements and that's a problem but she says one has bruise but feels ok---stiff but it works. She was changing her sheets when I called her this am. I said that didn't need to be done but she said it did so I guess she's ok...very stubborn too!

I've got to go vote after lunch. I'm going to change my walk route to go. I'm taking ID though. My mom heard they were checking that in some places. It is a beautiful day so weather should not keep people away.

Sorry to hear about your mom, is she okay??? prayers for her. Sounds like a very strong determined women:goodvibes.

Morning.

M&N-I feel bad for the driver too. He did stop and offered to help if he could. I know there are plenty of people who wouldn't and that would have made it worse. That must have been scary with your mom but she sounds like one tough cookie. Sending warm thoughts her way.

Bopsmom-DNeph is only 5 and yes, they do live nearby. Thanks for the tips about planting them and the idea about saving the seed pods for other years. He'll like that idea. I think this weekend, I'll head on down to his house and give him a hand with the planting. Thanks again.

Well, it's been a dramatic morning here. DD has called 2x because she had lost her wallet. I mean she had lost her wallet 2x in one day. Most of her money and her id was in it. I didn't care about the money but when they flew down, security did check everyone's id before they boarded. Thankfully, both times, the wallet got turned into lost and found with everything still in it. Let's just say, as of right now, she is not allowed to hold her wallet.

Anybody else having a stressful morning? :rotfl:

If we did, can't beat that. Okay 2X's well I call that Disney:wizard: that it was turned in. I remember our first trip, and having been in a store and leaving my sunglasses. I realized that I may have left them and went back. They were RayBan's so since they can be pricey I thought they are gone. Well no, not in the magical world I asked at one of the counters and the lady said someone had turned them in and they sent it to the lost and found. I couldn't believe it only in disney kids only in disney.

I just had to gloat a bit. (I know, its unbecoming). I've moved into third place in my fantasy baseball league! I don't even know what I"m doing!

I know its just got some of the boys in a tizzy. They know I'm sports-challenged.

BTW---does anyone know what "utility" means on the baseball team? What should I be looking for? I've just been putting random guys in that spot, the ones I feel bad for benching.
:cool1: :woohoo: Way to go!!!!! "Utility" no clue????? but you seem to be doing just fine not really knowing what you are doing!!!!

Hi everyone, I'm back!
Just finished catching up while doing :laundy: and burning popcorn.
Welcome to TBDave and welcome back to wvgoofy fan
D&DDisney sorry to hear of your DH's job worry.
Lots of children growing up quickly. :teacher:
MagiKitty I can't tell my DH about your success at fantasy baseball. When we left he was in last place. He checked when we got home and there was a lot of moaning. :sad2:
I plan on doing a trip report after I download some pictures.
My trip was fun but my DD had a hard time while house/pet sitting for us. First a long distance friend was diagnosed with cancer. She was notified that he died and suspects he committed suicide. Then a couple of days later she lost her job. :scared1: I suspect I may have to move her back home. :scared:

Welcome back!!!! Hope you had a great trip. So sorry that you had to come back to such sad news and stress. Hope your DD gets through this rough spot in life fairly quickly:goodvibes.

DL55 - Welcome back from vacation. Glad you had a good time. I was wondering how you were. Sorry to hear what your DD is going through.

Milky Ways for votes???? That's bribery - but yummy I bet.
Do us proud PA voters!!!

Happy Earth Day to All!!

Hi DD, must say that's a first for voting that I heard. I know when you give blood they give you cookies, but milky ways??? Well I guess if you get it after you vote it's not bribery:rotfl: only if they were knocking on doors telling you if you go vote here's your milky way:laughing:.

:welcome: BACK DL55!!! Glad you had fun on your trip and sorry to hear about what is going on with DD. When you have time, I'd love to see some pictures too.

MagiKitty-up to 3rd in your fantasy baseball league. :woohoo: Way to go!!! I do fantasy racing...soooo, do you know anything about racing? I could use some help breaking the top 10. :rotfl: :goodvibes Love the needle and thread idea for DD wallet. Much better than my idea of velcroing it to her forehead. :rotfl2: But seriously, we are going to have to come up some idea for her not to lose her wallet. So far, we've thought about getting her a new purse that has a key ring attached on the inside and then getting her one of those wallets on a chain like some guys have. We have seen cute dainty girls wallets like that. This way she can still get at her wallet but not run the risk of losing it.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts for DNeph. He's still young and has alot of questions about what happened. And you all know SIL, she's not exactly the sharpest knife it the block. I just hope she doesn't try to gloss over his feelings and never mention their dog or anything. Going to head over this weekend and help him plant some flowers in this dog's favorite spot our in the backyard.

DD is officially on her way home right now. She's suppose to call when the finally land. Won't be soon enough for me.

Yeah DD on her way, you can rest!!!

Wow, the threads have been busy!!! Life has gone beyond busy for me and has entered in to what I like to call "Arrggg mode" I even made a thread ha ha. It made me giggle and made me feel less stressed, so I hit "submit"

Beaker (new guy...remember him?) Is BEYOND strange...good worker, but weird.

Working on the companies 25th Anniversary party for Sept 20th. It is going to be a huge gala with employees from all over the country coming. How did I get this honor? Being the person that plans the local holiday parties for the past 12 years and everyone wants the party at the beach...

The party on top of a quadrupled workload, a Sr. VP that seems to have lost his village (get it village idiot hee hee), and my "inherated problem employee" has made my life almost laughable. I will be ready for Disney World when it comes.

Did get a bit of bad news yesterday. I have been expecting it, but it still stings. My Grandfather (last living Grandparent) has bone cancer. The Dr's have called the family to visit. We are heading up this weekend on the way to DS baseball tournament. Gonna be a tough day, but we have all come to grips with it. Even my Grandfather has, he is ready. Okay on with the mulit-quotes:

Sorry to hear the news about your grandfather, knowing it or not it is still hard:hug:.
I guess it is a honor they want you to head up this huge party, if they didn't think you could pull it off especially with big wigs coming in they wouldn't have asked. So I guess that's the up side, pat yourself on the back that what you do is that good:goodvibes. Of course sounds like a lot of work. Mmmm, party on the beach:woohoo: sounds like fun!!
Village idiot:rotfl2:

Bopsmom- Good to see you!!! :upsidedow
:wave2: hey!
So sorry to hear about your Grandfather.
Ha ha. I saw you on my silly thread. Didn't expect anyone to respond, but I am glad they did. Sometimes it helps to do something that just flat out makes you giggle. :rotfl:

Could you post a link to that thread-I could use some silly sometimes.:goodvibes
Beaker interviewed "normal" but right out the gate day 1 he was strange.
So here lie the "early" Beaker stories. I am sure I will have plenty of them in days to come.

Dadedadumdadedadum(twilightzone theme)
I hope he doesn't turn into one of those people that when the news crew interviews the neighbors and co-workers they always say, "ya know, he was kinda quiet, kept to themselves a lot, a bit of a quirky outsider":lmao:
If he keeps mentioning your neighborhood, reply that it wasn't always that way but since the local gun club has taken over the neighborhood watch it's gotten much better.;) JK

She's home! She's home! :cool1: Finally I can get some sleep.
I bet she is glad to be home.:)
She has had a big adventure. Something she will treasure forever. She called when she was having fun and even told you when things weren't going well-this bodes well for the future.:thumbsup2
roots and wings! :cool1:

DD is bad with the cell phone too. We find it all over the house, usually in DD4's hands calling China or someplace. :rotfl: DD is smart...honor roll every marking period and has never had a problem with any kind of school work. But man, when she isn't in school, she can be a scatterbrain. I love her with every ounce of my being but I swear once she steps outside those school doors, she turns off all brain activity.

Well she has to relax her brain cells some time:rotfl:, My DD the opposite w/cell phones she has had more then I have b/c there's always a new improved model she wants to trade up. It's her thing, aside how can you lose it when I believe it's attached to body???:rotfl2:

Hi disney54us!!! Prom time...how exciting. At least for DD. What color is her dress? We'll be waiting to hear all about everything that has gone on lately.

Think sea blue/green ala Airel the little mermaid type of color. She needs Highlights, that's today, tomorrow eyebrow waxing. Friday they give them a half day so then updo and make up. I'm tired just thinking about it . Last night Amelia she use to work for me was hear altering her gown.

Ha ha. I saw you on my silly thread. Didn't expect anyone to respond, but I am glad they did. Sometimes it helps to do something that just flat out makes you giggle. :rotfl:

He felt the need to go in to this big long story about the kid at the ice cream shop that got his order wrong, so he told him he was an idiot and asked to speak to the manager. :woohoo: good for you you posted your own thread!!! Have to try to find it!!
Okay Beaker does sound weird. That would creep me out about his reference to where you live:scared1:. When you hire, are they on three months probation??? Maybe that will give your company a out? Especially with racial and gay remarks, that is cause for being let go.

She's home! She's home! :cool1: Finally I can get some sleep.

Night everyone!

:cheer2: :dance3: She's home!!!!!! Hope you had a good nights sleep!

She's home! She's home! :cool1: Finally I can get some sleep.

Night everyone!

Did you get some sleep?

Pepper---where's your silly thread?

My mom said she's stiff but is still doing her cleaning. She is too tough at times. Her Mom lived to be 94.

We have a MasterFoods plant in town. They have always had a treat at the polls. Chocolate works for me. They don't care who you vote for either! :cool1:

I found the arrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhh....someone must have just bumped it up. It may have started out as silly but it looks like it was needed. Venting's good.

Morning!!! Yeah, I got some sleep last night. Just felt better knowing that she was home. DH decided to go into work late today so I thought I could sleep in a little. But no, all DD's friends decided to call early this morning to check in with her. :lmao:

Be back later, Downloading all the pictures she took into the computer. She has to take the memory card into school for their project and I want my own copy before that.

Morning friends. So glad to hear DD returned safely (with her wallet!). Take heart, my younger sister is exactly the same way---book smart, brilliant (she's in her first year of residency) but completely lacking in the common sense department. I think its life's way of balancing things out.

M&N...did the candy bar survive the night?

Pepper...I am so so sorry that I celebrated the hiring of Beaker. Sounds like a weirdo. Let's just hope that the laughing inappropriately is just a nervous reflex and that it will go away very very soon.

disney54us...hurrah on the prom prep! My neice and nephew have their in two weeks. how exciting! Do you get to visit and see everyone in their finest? My prom (back in the stone ages) opened the first hour of the prom to visitors so everyone could get pictures.

Still in third place! I have an ex who was into NASCAR...he was a huge fan of Tony Stewart. I based my favorites based on the car...I liked the M&M and the Target car. I don't think this helps with fantasy racing, but it does tell you how I run my life in general--including my fantasy baseball team. I try to rotate everyone on the bench so that no one feel unloved.

Good day all! Supposed to be very warm here in NY! Excited for it!

good morning ladies!

with all this bad news, and sad sad stuff going on (much sincere love and hugs from me to all), is anyone ready for some great news?

i've got some!

Okay so I think I finally caught up and if I left anyone out in my ton's of multiquotes:hug: love you all.

So my weekend story and DS and the punks (my new name for them), yes so mature, but since this is the dis boards you don't want to hear what I would like to call them.
Sat. was the Town Wide yard sale, did pretty well and got rid of tons of stuff that had been in the garage to 'go through' since we moved in.
Now the neighborhood kids were out and about across the street. Never looked over said hello to DS, who by the way made almost $30 getting rid of some of his old toys:banana:. It's all over and cleaned up and it is about 5:00 DD's bf is over and was sitting on the porch w/me, she was upstairs getting ready:confused3 (girls:laughing:). Here comes the kid from across the street who had the b-day party a couple of weekends ago and another kid who lives up the block. They ask if DS is here and he comes out to the porch and if he could play. Well they go over to W. house across the st. and when the leave I have my suspisions, why all of a sudden do they want to play. I was very close to wanting to say something when they came over, since I'm sick and tired that they are 'friends' with him one day or week for that matter and then ignore him. Make up your mind you don't want to be friends fine but don't use him.
Anyway about a hour later he comes home, (taking a :smokin: brb, sorry but this still gets me on fire).
Back. Okay so he starts telling us how they had bb guns and were shooting at him and one hit him in the bridge of his nose right near his eye:scared1: , and one on his shoulder and somewhere else. These are they air something or other one's but can still do a lot of damage. Then he proceeds to tell me how they were throwing rocks at him and he was hiding behind there garage. I asked why he didn't run home and he said he couldn't b/c he was behind the garage trying not to get hit w/the rocks. He said that he told W. that w/the guns you are suppose to wear a vest helmet and goggles and aim at a target his friend has one. Well needless to say I am fuming and DH is ready to go through the roof. His mom was home and then went out and her niece is living with them but they were out back. DH told me I needed to go talk to W's mom, she just change her # and I didn't have the new one so I went over rang the bell no answer. could still hear the punks out back. Left her a not in the door to call me. Next morning I'm drinking coffee on the front porch and I see her across the street talking to a neighbor. I go out when she's done and tell her I need to talk to her. I tell her what happened. She is appalled as I new she would be, she is honest to know her son is not a angel and tries very hard to instill good behavior. She tells me she will have him come home (he was already out playing) and that they would be over. We were going out to breakfast so my cell rang (as I was leaving I saw him going in the house) and she said they came over and we weren't home and she would be back in the afternoon and they would be over. She said she was calling the other boys mom to let her know. When we came home my phone was ringing and it was the other boys mom apoligizing and said that they came down to apoligize awe weren't home and could she sent her son down to say he's sorry to DS. He came down and DS was out back, so I looked at him and told him to go through the gate DS is out back. Just b/c our beloved 100 pd German Shepherd was out there too:confused3 oh well. He is fine it's just that he barks a lot and could be intimidating. Then W. and mom come over to have a pow wow. She wasn't letting him off easy ,with just a sorry to DS. She made him face DH,DS and me. Then went on to explain about being a decent human being. DH, told him that even though he was a kid that what he did was assault w/ intent and that if it wasn't for the respect he had for his mom he would have called the police and that he would be sitting in juvy last night. The 'guns' his Dad bought they are divorcing and dad is well lets say not much in life and still wants to live his 'glory days' when he was a big HS football player. The type that this makes you a man, and tuff. Funny thing, both these kids have been bullied, so I guess this makes them feel powerful to do it to someone else???? When it was my turn I told him flat out that this back and forth since we moved is ridiculous and if he didn't want to be friends w/DS fine. Be a decent human being you could say hello, and thats it. Don't use people, I reminded him that the 'cool' really popular kids are the ones who are nice to all and DD was standing in the doorway and I told him ask her she's in HS. And who can do there own thing and leave others alone. That's being a 'real man'. Obviously the guns are gone, she didn't buy them for him, just one more issue for her in this messy divorce. So that's the story, and this is the school that DS is going to next year, since the bishop closed his!
