Favorite Easter candy has to be Cadbury mini-eggs, hands down.

I also like those little birds nests made out of coconut with jelly bean eggs.

Only got chocolate crosses as a child, so I'd have to opt for big chocolate cross, not bunny.

Anything peanut butter with chocolate, whatever form it may take.

Of course, I am willing to give shelter to any sort of orphan holiday candy. :lovestruc

i've never met a candy i didn't like.

but i do love those cadbury eggs (the big ones). my mom would always bring them home for us as soon as they appeared in the store. usually pretty early. maybe when Lent began.

chocolate bunnies. yummmmmmm.. white or milk chocolate. i like to switch it up.

i don't really care for jellybeans but i wouldn't turn them down.:rotfl:

ok, see ya'll later! like that "ya'll"?!!!

magikitty, i hope you're making out ok in the snow. it's rain here. yuck! i think that snow is MUCH prettier!

:lmao: :rotfl:

I do not like the Cadbury eggs. Aren't they the ones that lool like an egg inside? It isn't very appealing to me--like eating raw eggs. There's a church around here that makes homemade peanut butter, cream, coconut, and other flavor eggs that are to die for. Snickers used to make an egg shjaped Snickers that was better than the bar. I ate a sleeve of Girl Scout thin mints after WW last night. I'm finishing them off tonight and get them out of the way.

Loved the If I Were In Charge of the World. Do you think it would be good to have a DW in every state?

Favorite Easter Candy?

Well, that would have to be the jelly bean. And not just ANY jelly bean, but ONLY the "Just Born" jelly bean, made by the wonderful folks who bring us...PEEPS!!! (which are proabably my 2nd favorite!)

Besides those, I love coconut cream eggs with MILK CHOCOLATE shells, which are nearly impossible to find.

Pretty much anything Hershey's makes will work for me.

NOT that I will be enjoying much Easter candy this year. Did you know that even jelly beans contain wheat?:sad1: Oh well, at least I can have PEEPS!!!!!:cool1:

Thanks! Let us know how it goes!

I wanted to share with ya'll what I found it in DD's take home folder. It's amazing what kids think sometimes.:flower3:
:lmao: I asked her about "wining siblings" she said it was whining siblings and she put it in for her BFF that has 3 sisters

Hope to get caught up and be able to :chat: soon.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Kids are the best!

stay warm think

No problems!.:hippie: I'll send directions about planting. :thumbsup2
I directly sow the seeds into the outside beds
For you it could be outside (if past freeze time) or in a pot in a warm sunny window.
Herbs don't like to transplant.
You can put them in peat/biodegradable pots(we make ours out of newspaper printed in soy based ink) and start the seeds inside, then plant outside(pot and all) when it gets warm.
Potting soil works just fine if in a pot. Herbs are very forgiving. They like it kinda dry so just don't overwater them.

Thank you I especially like the part about the jolly ranchers!it's sooo her.:upsidedow

:rotfl2:

Too too funny:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I love to put peeps in the microwave and watch them blow up 3x their size:woohoo:

If could plan where to put the peeps, this is what I would do::idea:
I would put a bunch of the peeps in the microwave and drape the "melty" peeps over objects like the phone, monitor, etc. and make that person's cubicle look like a giant Salvador Dali picture

Then he/she rude co worker would look like a Munch

BTW-Love the peep picture.:thumbsup2

I've gotten a bit confused w/ my multi-quotes here, but Bopsmom I think the pic is yours. The Dali comment cracked me up!!! If I was more computer inclined, I'd mock up a peep inspired Dali right now!

Whgrn- I've lost track of the Scotland post, but I'll get back to it. Computer time is up. We'll have to compare notes. We honeymooned in Ireland and Scotland and it was by far the best trip ever. (Disney not-withstanding of course!)

Magsnden - Glad he pooped! And, no apologies... its amazing how much of your life revolves around your kids bowel movements when you become a parent.

As for the random smilies... :hourglass :faint: :love1: :chewy: There's a few.

Oh and candy

LOVE the cadbury eggs, so glad someone else does
Candy shoppe peanut butter eggs. I drive an hour to a little place that makes the best ones.
Coconut creme eggs.
Robin's eggs.

Anything white chocolate.

I could go on and on and on...

Peep Trivia
From: http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2000/04/17/loc_people_who_need.html

"A single Peep contains 32 calories and no fat, making a serving of five only 160 calories. "

Q: Tell me this isn't true. Tell me there isn't a whole cult of people who sit around microwaving Peeps.

A: Sorry, but they do. All the time. There are two benefits and a drawback:

• Benefit one: Instant staleness, if you do it correctly.

• Benefit two: Peeps expansion, up to five times their original size.

• Drawback: Wait too long and you clean your microwave with a chisel.

Q: Microwave directions, please.

A: Wellsir, you need to know that times vary because microwaves vary and because of a Peeps' age. Basically, the older the Peep, the more water that has evaporated, causing more scorching and quicker explosions. For a fairly fresh Peep:

• At 30 seconds, they begin to inflate just a tad.

• At 60 seconds, the chest inflates, points proudly upward; at this point, the Peep is double in size.

• At 2 to 21/2 minutes, they're three-four times their size and ready to eat. NOW.

• At three minutes, they begin melting into Peep-goo.

• At four minutes, Peep puddles begin to overflow, making a nasty mess in the microwave.

Those peep sites are hilarious! :happytv:

My favorite candy :
Peeps (only Easter ones)
Cadbury egg
Anything chocolate and peanut butter.

You can use the peeps picture if you want.

Oh man, I gotta go microwave me some PEEPS!!!

Hey everyone!!!! Guess what? 500 posts!! :woohoo: I finally made it and I owe it all to you all of you here. Gosh, I never thought I would get here.

Be back in a minute to comment on all I missed today.

woo hoo!!!!! :cool1:

Sorry guys, I know I have been away a lot, I am going to go attempt to catch up now. :goodvibes

Ok, now back to our regularly scheduled programming. :rotfl:

lighttech[/B}-I ended up getting 50 photos for free. I was able to pick them up in 2 hours and the quality was pretty good. Sometimes I just love the budget board.

Bopsmom-thanks for the update on the seeds. I decided for Easter, I'm gonna put some gardening supplies in their baskets. I figure I can fine little watering cans and such. I'll add the seeds and put a little note that they are from a very nice lady that mommy knows. :goodvibes Oh, and that poem of your DD was great. Loved the Britney line.

magsnden-:wave2: Always seem to miss you on here.

whgrn-We live right by the Just Born factory. How I wish we could take a tour of that place. My kids get so excited when they see the "Peeps Car" driving around. :rotfl2:

Ok, favorite Easter Candy. I don't eat too much candy but I do love the chocolate covered marshmallow eggs. And they have to be the ones that come in the egg cartons. :lmao: I only buy peeps for the kids but maybe I steal one or two. (ok, maybe three or four but that's all, I swear) I love white chocolate so if the kids get any of that, I still it too. Mmmm, maybe I like candy more than I like to admit. :rotfl:

I thought I was the only one that liked the old school marshmallow eggs. :thumbsup2
Not the fancy Russel Stovers ones but the ones in the egg cartons.:cool1:

Do any of you put cascarones in the kid's easter baskets or is it just a Texas thing? I love them and so does DD but DH hates the mess:headache: every party has a pooper...:rolleyes1

Arrgggg, this is the THIRD time I have had to type this!!! I keep deleting my response to Disney54 trying to clean up because I get the dumb ol' "too many smilies" error....well I didn't give up...I am really "Stinky McStink" at multi-quoting.

 Way to go!!! don't worry it is small!! Happy Daytona to you and all!

:scared1:  Hope your okay, keep us informed.

Pic's are great, DS does not look mean, he looks like he's focused. Ditto as stated prior 'a cutie'. You and your daughter are beautiful, must ask can you bottle the hair color you both have??? I love it!!!

Well you are in luck!!! I have the bottle right here. :thumbsup2 It is Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Nutri-Browns. B1 Cool Brown, Iced Macchiato.

:magnify: In case anyone is having a hard time see my picture :rotfl2: let me just point out who is in it. It's me and DS9 on the left, then DS5, DH and my mom. This was the vacation that dad was supposed to go on w/ us. Unfortunately he died suddenly in Aug. So it was sort of a bitter sweet trip for us all. We brought him along in spirit though. I had bottons made w/ his picture for all of us to wear (can't see them in the pic since it was chilly in the restaurant and we all put on sweatshirts)

pepper23 - You look marvalous and so does DD. :thumbsup2 Your DS is quite handsom too!

lighttech - Hope you are okay. Is your job always that hazardous?

Bopsmom - Hope the weather down there isn't too bad. We are getting your rain today. And, since we have 16 inches of snow that has not melted yet we have flooding and ice daming. Our driveway is a skating rink. Poor dog :dog: could hardly make it outside to go. Her 4 legs went in 4 different directions.

:car: I know the race has started but I watch it more so to dream about being in FL than for the race. Don't have a favorite driver but my DS is pulling for Carl Edwards because he likes to see him backflip when he wins. DH likes Matt Kenseth.

Have a great day all!!!! Let's see some more (large) pictures so I know who I am talking with.

Love the pic. I am glad you guys were able to make the best of your trip and I am truly sorry for your loss.

I caught up last night but too tired to post. Lots always happens over the weekend. It's great we're getting Dis vets here. I looked at post counts and several of us are getting closer to that 500th post. I'm making my speech already to make sure I thank all the TK's. Actually, I looked and I've only killed 4 threads this month so far!

Lighttech--glad you're ok. Please thank DS for all those smilies. Tell him it made my day.

I know we've talked about being positive in the past so I want to share some things from my WW meeting last night. It was called Do you have ANT problems? It was about Automatic Negative Thoughts. We always have thoughts about our behavior and what we think leads to what we do. We think, feel and then do. So we need to stop our negative thoughts. We only got 5 of the 10 steps but I'll share what I have. 1). We need to acknowledge and appreciate the positive past. 2). We should use positive self talk...I can messages. 3). We should acknowledge and build on strengths. 4). We should clarify our vision and purpose. 5). We should set measurable goals and objectives. They should be small and about behavior. I know it may not seem like much but the discussion really helped me with my thoughts about my weight but other things too. Just wanted to add that you all are so positive toward all of us and our situations. I know MaggiKitty started us off with a cute title and theme but it's developed into a very positive, caring group.

I'll get off my soapbox...

Did someone say tulips coming up? They're still using the s word here.

I love this post! Made my day (even if I am a little late ha ha). I have a personal rule to laugh at least once a day..of course in my case I usually end up laughing all day because once you start ya just can't stop.

apparently, dennis loved them!

we wound up with about 5 edible ones, and i guess i didn't take any pictures of the really red ones. maggie was just so excited to eat them, we cut this one a little too early!

Awww how cute!!! Watermelon looks awesome!

Feeling kind of deep this morning.
MagiKitty, I believe in signs too.
I am doing something this week and I am already blown away and it's just Wed.
I am starting each day praying to God about many things, but asking Him to open my eyes to let me "See" His work. I do not want to become blind to it.
Yesterday morning I just sat in my quiet house and listened. The wind started blowing and all I could hear was the rustling of the leaves in our backyard.
I was reminded that God speaks with a still small voice but we have to be still so we can hear Him.
I am trying to be more "still"

On a lighter note.
YES, I'm in on the T-shirt thing if we can ever have a gathering.:thumbsup2

I do that too Shmu. I also do random bible verses to see if he will speak to me through them.

How fun would a gathering be!!! I go to Atlantic City a lot that would be fun!! I am going March 16th - 18th if anyone is close by PM me and I will be happy to let you watch me win big on the slots...yea right lol.

Drumroll please...Check my post number...it was just 499 so this should be it!
:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
I'm a VET! I would not be where I am today without my chatty Killer friends! :grouphug: Thank you very much!
Can't wait to hit submit reply...

Welcome to the world of Vets!!!!!!

Okay, I am going to find some current stuff to comment on now..heck this was two weeks ago for you guys!!!

You're right, they can't be the fancy ones. If I'm lucky, I can find them in dark chocolate too. :cloud9: But I'm just as happy if I get them in milk chocolate.

Have to be honest...didn't know what cascarones are. So, I went to look them up on google. Now that I know what they are, they do sound like fun. My kids hardly ever eat the hard-boiled eggs anyway so maybe this could be a fun alternative. And I know they would annoy the heck out of DH if I put those in the kids baskets. :rotfl2:

Ah Ha!! Someone finally mentioned something I can have on the South Beach Diet...Boiled Eggs!!!

You guys are making me hungry. :cutie: (chosen because it looks like a strawberry...told ya I was hungry)

I have to ask a question about Peeps...Are they a big thing or something? I noticed there was a whole thread dedicated to them. :rotfl:

Okay, I have to ask because I am too lazy to look it up...What are cascarones? Maybe I am putting in Easter basket and don't know it by that name.

Welcome back Pepper23. :wave2: Missed ya for a while.
