MagiKitty-WELCOME BACK!!!:woohoo: :yay: I was just searching for your posts last night to try to figure out when you were suppose to be back...and here you are. Missed ya! Now go catch up.

lighttech-thanks for the links. I'll check them out later and see if I think anything might "speak" to her. :lmao:

Magikitty :welcome: :grouphug: We've missed you. Lots to catch up on from the Killers. You'll be proud of your thread.:yay:

Dreamin' -

Check out these sites. I thought the monograms were pretty cool. Classy, but different too, and the other one has a "humorous" section w/ things like the groom on the wrong layer of the cake, etc.

Wow---Some of them would speak to anyone! I liked the Swarovski monogram ones! The crystal castle was cool too. I also liked the one where the groom wasn't on the top...just trying to climb up. Unreal how much they cost.

Hey everyone! Couldn't find you for a while...got scared that the thread got moved again or died while I was away! So glad to see everyone is here and going to go back now and try try try to catch up. I missed you all! Will return later after seeing what you've been up to...So glad to be back!

Finally went back b/f x-mas to find out how long you were staying. Was going to post earlier, but we went out tonight:banana:. glad I came back to find you here. So get busy reading:laughing:.

I can't remember if I had a cake topper. I do remember we had a cake and did not smash it into each others face. :love2:

It's all okay, see you do remember that you didn't smash it in each others face:thumbsup2. And as Martha would say 'It's a good thing'

I wonder what happen I think we need to put some 'shout out's' for them to stop by. :rotfl: I feel like I'm hosting the MTV awards w/ my let's give a shout out:rotfl2:.
I will need to check out those toppers, then we can all post which ones speak to us. It will be fun, we can do something like a fantasy wedding money no object pick your favorite wedding topper:goodvibes.

Okay killer's, just came in a few ago, and was just going to post a goodnight but then I saw Magikitty was back had to do the catch up thing. So I will wish you all a goodnight. Oh, guess what received reply from food thread:yay:, they don't have that recipe, but told me Olivia's had a cookbook out sometime ago, they were only able to provide me w/the one's that can be downloaded. They said they were putting it out there on the wish list:angel:. So thanks again for finding it and they were so quick to reply and nice:goodvibes. still no replies, many views about it on the DVC board:snooty:, you think one person could have even told me that a long time ago there was a Olivia's cookbook? Anyway,:grouphug: to all you killer's, who's needs them? In one day my killer's help me out, found a great food thread to search for my (MIA) recipe, who was also ready to help:thumbsup2. That's what is all about.
sleep tight, again glad to know your home safe and sound.
Oh yeah when I came home my little green light was on, so I think it look like I was on from before 4:confused3 that would be alot of dis-ing, even for me:rotfl2:
Here kitty, kitty, magikitty :cat: , oh there you are kitty, your back:cheer2:.

Mornin' killers!

Wow! All this crafty talk makes me wish I had done some cute stuff for our trip next week. Guess I could still do the t-shirt transfers for DD & DS. I always wait until the last minute to think of stuff like this and then don't have time or make myself crazy running around trying to get it done. Oh well, if I don't get anything done, I can start working on stuff for our Dec trip.:) (Which is already booked!:woohoo: )

Praise2Him - have a great time! Let us know about the weather when you get back. I've been looking at forecasts for the next week and so far, so good.:thumbsup2

Still no magikitty!:sad1:

Bopsmom - I've been meaning to tell you how funny I thought your drugstore story was. Men can be so dense. A woman who saw you with all that stuff would have just offered you some chocolate and a margarita!

Well, I guess I'm off to the craft board where I'll probably become overwhelmed and mad for not doing this earlier.:headache:

Ok, so I just quoted myself. That's kind of weird isn't it? It's just as I suspected, now I really want to at least do shirts for DD and DS for our trip next week. Those designs are so cute. I need some serious help from bopsmom and dreamin and anyone else who's done this. Please. Can I figure out how to do this and get it done before we leave next week? Do I just download the image into a file on my computer, print it on transfer paper and slap it on the shirts? Surely it can't be that easy. What about the whole mirror image thing? Is that hard? Can all the supplies be found at Hobby Lobby? Is any of this making any sense?  Thanks for any advice ya'll can give. I really appreciate it.

Have a great Thursday everyone!:thumbsup2

Yes, it is just that easy.:thumbsup2
I don't know about other printer options (MMV) but on mine you have the option to print in mirror image.
I do most of my work off of Printshop and there is a iron-on option for creating work that automatically sets to reverse image, other than that is is really easy.
The iron on paper come with directions too.
Wash the shirts before-no fabric softener-be careful when you iron.

:goodvibes you'll do fine:goodvibes

Morning, Killers. I'm sure MagiKitty is so thrilled to be back to this :cold: .
I have not done any transfers but my research found that there is dark and light transfer paper. Most said the dark was best---even if putting it on white shirts. Have fun picking the designs.
I'm going out with friends for lunch---there goes WW. I didn't use all my points yesterday to have extra. They down graded our snow to just flurries. :yay: Going to a Longaberger party tonight---sale baskets! :cheer2:

Good morning, okay all this craft stuff sounds like fun, but it's all this computer techno stuff that's making my head:crazy:, :rotfl:. Ah shmu, I see you also have the great Hobby Lobby, really need to campaign for them to come here:rotfl2:. Home Show last night was okay, but not quite what I expected:sad2:. I did get to see insulation made from recycle jeans and soy. I just though it would be more like when HGtv does the 08 home show, I think from San Francisco:confused:, where there is all new and great things for the home! But we went to dinner after and that was really good, and we went with friends of ours that we hadn't been out w/for ages so it was worth it:thumbsup2. You guys are making me want to go to Micheal's or AC Moore and do something crafty as long as it doesn't involve the computer:laughing:.

Enjoy your lunch, and don't worry you have extra pts:thumbsup2. Oh that's right we're suppose to get something:confused:, today to but it seems that they say that almost every other day. I just figure when I see it I believe it, and it seems their magical time this year is always 'around 2:00':confused3.
Longaberger :yay: fun, and is it all there end of year baskets on sale?:woohoo:

Morning all!!

AUdisfan-it really is easy and I'm sure you could get quite a few done before you leave. I used the dark transfer paper and they came out more vibrant. And the paper I used, I didn't have to mirror the image. I just saved the image to my computer, printed it like any other picture, trimmed around the transfer, and ironed it right on. Iron on a large hard-cover book and not an ironing board (it absorbs too much of the heat and it won't stick as well). When I printed them, I also set my printer preferences to normal (less ink) as opposed to best (more ink). They printed great that way and when I washed them, they colors didn't run.

Once they were all ironed, I didn't wash them again before we left so the colors would stay as bright as possible. I folded them without creasing the transfer and just packed them away. When you do wash them, turn them inside out first and it will hold the colors better.

I wondered about the dark paper. I thought it was just for dark colors. Thanks for the update!:thumbsup2 I am making my DD's friend a Birthday present today. This girl is :upsidedow  :upsidedow over Nick Jonas so we are making her a pillowcase with his face on it for a gift.:lmao: Her mom will be so happy:rotfl:
It in the 40's here and raining-yucky :cold: for us that is

Welcome Back Magikitty!!!!! We were all a little worried about you. :guilty: Hope you had a good time!!!

Yes.....the iron-on transfers are that easy. I made us all matching shirts for the MNSSHP in Oct. I bought Wilton T-Shirt Transfers (Dark). I simply chose my picture, saved it to my computer, sized it in my photo imaging software, then printed it out onto the transfer sheets. (I DID NOT have to invert the picture) Then, I peeled off the backing of the image and placed it on a freshly laundered shirt. I used the parchment paper that was in the packet to iron the image and BINGO... perfect shirt.

It's so easy, I think even Disney54us could do it. :rotfl2: (Just Kidding. Having a little fun with you buddy! ;) )

Good Morning.:hippie:

I have a question about the iron on transfers. I have made them before. I wash them inside out and hang them to dry. The picture still got all cracked looking. Is there a way to avoid this?:confused3

My favorite one I did (but it is all crackly looking) has a picture of my DH on the front saying "Tommy's Wife"
On the back I have a picture of my DS and DD saying "Johnny and Stephanie's Mom"
It's my identity these days ya know.:confused3

I got the idea from my mom. She had one like that with my dad and me and my brother. No picture, just the words.

For my next WDW trip I would like to have the picture of me and my dad from 1971 (It's in my PTR) put on a shirt.

I'm not sure how to totally avoid the cracked look. It happened to some of our shirts. Some worse than others depending on the brand of paper I had used at the time. For some of ours that weren't too bad, I re-ironed them with the parchment paper. They didn't end up perfect but they were better than they were.

Hi Guys,

Lighttech, just came across another recipe using alcohol for your Ssuperbowl party/contest. It is a dip for veggies, real simple you could make both and dble your chances of winning:rotfl:.

Rum Sauce
1 cup Mayo
2 Tblsps Chili Sauce
2 Tblsps Rum (light)
1 large garlic glove crushed.

That's it mix it together, and serve w/ veggies. This is from a old family friend who has since passed. She would always make it and we all loved it. She use to cut out a small cabbage and put the dip in but a bowl would work just a well:thumbsup2.

Those transfers do sound easy. Do you get the transfer paper at Hobby Lobby? Would Walmart have them? The nearest Hobby Lobby for me is an hour and 15 min away. Do you need photo editing software?

Hey all! Sorry, I'm still catching up, on page 90 right now. I know I should just give up, but I love hearing about all that went on the past few weeks. Thanks to everyone for the "welcome back" wishes. I've been so happy reading about all the birthdays, good news, better health, and lovely surprises so far.

Sorry I can't help with the iron on transfers. I avoid the iron at all costs.

An aside, before I go back to page 90, does anyone a good reliable CHEAP place to get pictures developed? Preferably mail-in. Between my Photopass and my vacay pictures, I have to develop several hundred photos! I usually use snapfish, they have prepaid for 10 cents, I think. But anything cheaper would be greatly appreciated!

Back to the TK archives for me. Have a good day everyone! So glad to chat with you again!

Thanks! DH really wants to do one too, so I'm thinking we might split the bill, and I'll do the dessert and let him to the entree. (DH is a great cook.) But, I'm kind of pushing him towards your gin marinade recipe. It looks so YUMMY!

I might do the dip anyway though, it sound like a really interesting combo, and so easy!
