Oh yeah, it's COLD here too! Last night was the coldest here since 2004 - in the teens.

Hi Guys, I have to say I'm having a hard time getting use to our 'new home' here on the CB. I mean you can post and click and there's three threads ahead when your post comes up. Finding us, I guess I was use to us just being there toward the top. Can you tell I resist change?? We may have gotten chatty, but through out there was Dis sharing or mention, some of these threads?? is everything about medical operations to Oprah tickets. Which is fine, but I still don't get what we are doing here. Okay, just needed to vent a little and get that off my chest. Talk to you later.

No way I have time to catch up! I've been off for a few days, and there's pages and pages again. I'll try to read up tomorrow, but Happy New Year everybody!!!

And, too funny, I didn't even realize we were ON a new thread until I skimmed someone's post. I'm just so used to clicking on it at the top of my subscribed threads list, I didn't pay any attention.

Welcome Back!! Hope you had a great NY's, We need to keep this going! I mean, MagiKitty is out of the country and we owe it to her all these past months of us being here forging new friendships, to keep us moving. I know it's harder on this board, if you sign on to CB you have to look for us, I realize that it's after the holidays and everyone needs to try to get back into a routine I mean the kid's do need clean clothes for school and lunch. I just hope we can keep this going strong and all the new friends we have made (and recipe swaps) will continue.

Hey all my fellow TK'ers was over on our old board (sorry, don't like being on the CB) and found a post w/ 0 replies !! It was titled Picture Op's. Anyway it goes on to say that she DH and DD4 are going (I believe spring) and asking what op's she shouldn't miss or suggestions on what to get. I welcomed her and gave a few tips, and invited her over since most have kid's. If any of you are signed on, give her a welcome b/c when I saw her thread she had opened her thread w/question at 5 something and I posted close to ten and I was her first reply. So, people who are we?? Thread Killers (let no man or women feel what we have) Go give her a post.

Ps hate that I have to scroll to pg 2 to find us , yes I am s†ill complaining about this strange move

I know! . I am not even going to mention that some strange girl at school threatened DD today over a boy. Yep...day three of the new year haha.
But, I have always been an extremly positive person and I firmly believe that if a year starts out rough it can only get better from there...knock on wood. All I can do is pray for FIL (and my DH who is extremly worried, but respecting his wishes and waiting until Saturday) The rest is out of my hands. And to think a week ago it was so quiet around here.

I would like to thank everyone for the well wishes and prayers for my FIL. I am really glad I found this thread. I will let you all know how it goes on Sat. For now, I have decided that I am going to use the zig zigglar method..PMA Positive Mental Attitude...

DL55-I've seen lots of pictures from my parents trips to Vegas and it looks incredible. But I'm sure picture don't really do it justice. I did some reading on Vegas before my parents went for the first time mostly so I knew what they were talking about and maybe ask some semi-intelligent questions What I really want to see is the Stratosphere. And yes, I think I would do those rides they have at the top.

At least wanted to say Hi. Nothing much really to say. Slowly winding out of the vacation mode. We don't start everything back up until Monday. When we start back though, I will have to be in overdrive. So many things to accomplish. I'm NOT going to start thinking about it yet. Still on vacation.

okay, not sure how old we are talking about here w/DD (not that it matters!!) threatening DD?? Kids today need to learn they cannot bully, harass and get away with it. And oh please, it's a boy for God's sake in ten year none of this will make a difference in there life. Like your way of thinking, if it starts bad then the year can only get better . still going around for your and family, and if he's a straight up guy hopefully it will be one of those... see you don't know what you could lose until you faced w/it. Maybe it is okay and it scared him and he wants to get the family together and discuss it.

I'm trying, (The CB), but how did we end up in a mix of Hysterectomy, "I love Blake Shelton "(yeah he's cute), Thread on the Iowa's cacusus going on today, a thread that is a liberal only political thread??? What in the world is all this even doing on a dis board?? Our thread started in one way and as we became more friendly, yes it does lead to conversations other then Dis 24/7, but the CB just seems to me like any other chat room for people to come on and start a thread about ????anything. Some, that I've seen titled, I am sure would be better off in some other chat/board room.

DD is 16...17 in another week and a half.
I did find a teachers thread and one lady had some really good advice for me with DD's situation (or lack there of...who knows with teen girls lol)_ As a parent, I can't just "let it go" The question at this point is "what to do? what to do?" lol.

Oh yea, who the heck IS Blake Shelton anyway haha.

Wew, know the age!!! Girls are nasty, but you know school admin. need to be responsible, it's not that they don't know what is going on in there schools. Blake Shelton cutie country singer made his first hit about 5 yrs ago, I think it was something Austin (Don't know leaving, finding). But it was Austin, DN used to work in radio in KS got to meet/date him when he was first starting. He is cute, but you get my point why are we on the CB which just seems to be a board anywhere.net and post anything. I'm not being mean, really like I said before that's cool. We are on a board that has so many threads that 5 pop from the time I am done writing a post and click and it gets there. The CB, really has nothing to do w/dis it is just on the dis boards. Yes I know that there are threads from dis'ners but again I didn't even check all of them, but wew come on I think there are more boards suitable for some of the threads I've seen listed, just MHO. We are here, for now tkprt I, tkprtII, you get my drift. So to all let's keep strong and together!!!
