Good morning everyone. Well it's a dreary day, I am determined to finish setting up my Snow Village. Started earlier in the week, but you can't get under the tables and drop the cords w/ a boot cam on. So, if I start now I may get something done today. Need to find hostess type of gift, for a party we have later. DD's bf's family, we went last yr. fun and lots of people, kids, but the thought of a group of people near my feet:scared:. I'll just sit in a corner:laughing:. Okay, it's Snow Village time have a good day check in later TK'ers:santa:

GM all, Thank you so much for your well wishes & prayers...Bless u all.... :flower3:

Glad to be back, still catching up... Looking forward to reading TR's~ and I am very happy to see thread killers still going strong! :)

So give, LBI, OC, The Wildwoods, which is your favorite beach??

CAPE MAY!!!!!! It's my favorite place to be! (sorry, it even trumps Disney, because in CM I can RELAX!!) We have a condo there right across the street from the beach, close to everything, with the best view in the whole town. We LOVE it there! And it's an easy ride up to Wildwood so the kids can have their one day/night on the boardwalk. Paradise, I tell you!:cloud9:

:cool1: great news.:cloud9: Let the games begin:rotfl:
We were so fortunate that when DD pulled up and took her 1st steps DH had just received a new video camera, was messing around with it and captured it on tape. I actually think marked the beginning of "her showing off for the camera" stage that she has yet to outgrow:rotfl:

MagiKitty be thankful that ballet flats are very much in style. I broke/dislocated 4 toes on one foot this summer-one is still messed up.
I wore Croc Athens sandals but now the weather is cooler (cool as it can get for the Tx Gulf Coast) I have been buying up ballet flats. My DMom told me to make sure I bought shoes at the end of the day (when the swelling is at it's worse) so they won't pinch after a long day-or if you need them for the evening.

I hope everyone is doing great.
DH is off to Atlanta for a week and I will be getting the house ready for the In-laws-I think DH planned it this way.:rolleyes1

Good to check in with ya'll

Good Morning, dear friends. How did it get to be Friday already? Time is just flying by, which is good for buffalogirl who'll be at the World soon (along with all of us in spirit). Have a safe trip and an even better time!

Unfortutely for me and boring life, the weekend means 500 lbs of laundry.

I've always attached pics to my email, I never knew I could put pics in the BODY of the message. This is very exciting to know. Thank you!

I'm part of my cousin's wedding January 5th, its a destination wedding. Because of scheduling conflicts, I won't be able to arrive until the 3rd. I originally was going to arrive a week earlier, which gave me enough time to have a dress made. But now I have to find a dress! I've been told that the color is pink-plum, which really doesn't narrow it down any. So I've been ordering dresses from all over the Internet! Thank goodness for free shipping. I hope that one of them fits right...I'm bigger on the top, so fitting is always weird.

Did you know that Target sells both wedding and bridesmaid dresses? I ordered four for $150, which is what most places charge for one dress! They should be here next week. I just hope one of them fits...

My UPS man is going to kill me.

Good day all, looking forward to today's chat...stay warm and safe.

our luggage (from disney) arrived on thursday, and i finally opened it today, so i, too, have a TON of laundry. :laundy: lucky me!
that is so cool that my favorite store, sells wedding dresses!! where i live the walmarts and targets don't sell produce and meat and stuff. they have the basics, but not like other places that have EVERYTHING. but wedding dresses, i've never seen that anywhere! that's really great, and pretty cheap too!

Thank you!! We're staying at CSR. Last year was our first trip with our kids(DD was 7 and DS was 10), we went the week after Thanksgiving and had a great time. The kids are even more excited now because they know what to expect. Last year I wasn't sure that the dining plan would be a good deal for my 60 pound, 10 year old "adult". On our trip, he developed a taste for filet. :lmao: When we were discussing this year's trip, he wanted to make sure we were going back to Le Cellier and asked if maybe there was somewhere he could have lobster or lamb. :rotfl2:

I'm getting very excited, although it is a little stressful trying to get ready for Christmas and a vacation at the same time! :scared1:

i hope your son tries the lobster! my personal favorite (i was disappointed that they didn't have it at coral reef). isn't that the greatest thing about the meal plan? you really get to try so many restaurants you wouldn't normally be able to go to, especially with the huge expense of disney in the first place. we've done it twice now, and i think it's worth it, especially with kids under 10. it's too bad though that 10 is an adult. i don't get it. they really could make it like 13 or 14.

well, back to the laundry :sad1: i'll check in again later!

JRabbit10, i am so deeply sorry for your loss, and will say a prayer for you and your family. hopefully, you'll fell just a tiny bit better after catching up here. my thoughts are truly with you.

i clicked the link you have at the bottom of your post, but it said it couldn't access that file. is it working now?

Dagnabbit! It was just links to Christmas songs-Christmas Time in Texas(George Strait) and Christmas Island (Jimmy Buffet).
Oh well, better luck next time,:confused3 I'll try again later. Thanks for telling me

Just checking in real quick, need to get ready for the party. Snow Village complete, though I'm beat:laughing:. I do love it, but it is time consuming. Hey I'm still confused:confused3, what else is new? What is the tag fairy???
I know it was discussed the other night, but I don't know what it is. Hey, Jersey Girl, now you have me totally envious:goodvibes, a condo a block from the beach!!!! My dream has always been to be by the beach. I always say I'll take a little beach shack, I can make it cute. As long as there's sand the ocean breeze and water I don't need more! Good for you, and my two favorite places are Dis and the beach, I have a  for both, for different reasons. Alright, I am procrastinating, and should head upstairs to get ready, but honestly I am really tired. So have a good night TK's and tag fairy?? let me know, thanks.

Well, all packed and ready to go BUT we got sleet/rain/snow in the midwest and it doesn't look good for our flight tommorrow. So we need some pixiedust: BIGTIME! As long as we get out tommorrow, that's all we need. We don't know how long or kids could handle being stuck in the airport.:confused3
See you all in a week!

Happy thoughts and pixie dust coming your way! :wizard:

What is the tag fairy???

The tag fairy is a magical little imp who comes along and gives you a beautifully colored tag under your name. (Instead of "Mouseketeer", "Earning my Ears", etc.) Usually, its a ?moderator? (or whomever that has the power) who is particularly tickled by something in your post and will tag you with it so it follows you around the boards. With all the goofy things I say, I'm suprised I haven't been tagged! But, maybe its better that what I say doesn't always follow me around.

'Night everyone.

:yay: :yay: :yay: blame my sister....everyone have a safe trip! We'll be thinking of you and wondering what sort of :pixiedust: you're going to get!

Yes, Target is my favorite store too (BF is a Walmart fan). My dresses are on their way to me. I can return them in store if I have to. I hope it doesn't come to that. I really need a dress.

Magsnden, I'm doing laundry right now. Its horrible.

I've never been to the Jersey shore, but y'all make it sound so good maybe we'll try it next summer!

I still have no idea who the Tag Fairy is. But I do believe in her. She somehow adds tags to you. I guess she's reading everything. :scared1:

Hi everyone. Just saying hi. I have been over reading MagiKitty's trip report. Awesome job so far. :goodvibes

disney54- hope you have fun at your party!!!!

blame my sister- have fun!!!!! I am sure your flight will be perfect and you will have a wonderful trip. :goodvibes

blame my sister-pixiedust: for you. Hope you have a great trip. And don't forget to post and give us all the details. :goodvibes

MagiKitty-wish I would have known Target sold bridesmaid's dresses when my SIL wanted 5 of us to be in her wedding. I ended up declining for 3 of us because the dresses she picked out were outrageously priced. But knowing my SIL, she never would have gone for that idea. She wanted a "Cinderella Wedding" no matter how much it cost everyone else. Going to check out your trip report.

I finished Christmas shopping for my kids tonight. I never finsh until Christmas Eve (yes, I am one of those people  ) I only have a few more gifts to buy for the rest of the family and I am done early for once.

Oh yeah, and I have to get SIL her gift cards. Won't buy her gifts anymore since she will turn around and sell them in a few months anyway. She did that with the gifts she got at her bridal shower...the same gifts she asked for on her registry. Gotta love it :sad2:

I don't think he'll be sampling any lobster this trip. I think Cap'n Jacks is the only DDP, 1 TS credit that serves it, and we're not going there this time. :sad2: Maybe next time. We do love  the dining plan, though. It's great to eat at all these wonderful restaurants and order anything you want. DS is excited that we're eating at Le Cellier twice during our trip. We're also surprising the kids at Coral Reef with the personalized menu and diver-can't wait to see their reaction!!

Hope your laundry is almost caught up. I'm already dreading that! We'll be getting home 8 days before Christmas. I'll have shopping and wrapping to finish and a mountain of laundry to do.:laundy: Oh and maybe I should send some Christmas cards, too. :santa:

buffalogirl...you have a safe trip and enjoy! What a wonderful time to be heading down to the World. Nice escape from the ice and snow we've had so far.

Well, I have a confession to make. Its my birthday. I have no special plans except to watch the Travel Channel all afternoon in my new Victoria's Secret pajamas and matching slippers. They have cats in hats all over them and they're flannel. I had pancakes this morning and am looking forward to delivery from my favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. I ordered myself a birthday/Christmas gift too! I finally found a decent price for a DVD recorder--now I can convert my vacation tapes to DVD, which I can then (I hope to anyway) edit on my computer.

My mother and I are celebrating my birthday on Thursday with an all-out Christmas shopping day. I've gotten the paper and am mapping out all the sales I want to hit. I've saved $15 in Borders rewards and am looking forward for some reading material to take with me on the plane in a few weeks.

dreamin in pa, I'm sorry but if my SIL did something like sell the gifts off her registry I'd be irate! For someone like that, I'd totally play with her, like getting her totally hideous gifts that she couldn't even sell! I think she's forgotten the specialness of being remembered and receiving a gift. Especially this time of year, its time to sit back and appreciate everything, espeically the sentiment of the holidays and family.

ah yes, I know she's family, and I shouldn't be a Scrooge either. But it truly is the thought that counts. Even the littlest thing if meant with love can be the best thing on earth.

I shouldn't judge. I hope for you and everyone to be happy, safe, and surrounded by love and laughter. We should all be so lucky!

Thank you pepperw for reading my TR. I'm struggling with putting everything down, but it is nice to go through the memories. I'm trying to drag it out until I get my Photopass Cd so I can add those pics! hee hee.

Good day everyone. looking forward to chatting with you.

:bday:

Happy Birthday, Magikitty!!!!
Sounds like the perfect way to spend your birthday! i'd love it!!
Have a great day!!

:cool1:  :dance3: :cheer2: :bday: MagiKitty! Spending all day in pajamas watching what I want on t.v. sound like a perfect birthday to me. Then of course between DH and my 4 kids, I'm lucky if I get to see an hour of tv all week.

Yeah, we were all pretty ticked about the shower gifts. I love the idea about giving the hideous gifts but need to keep the peace for my dad. And at least with a gift card, she can buy whatever she deems worthy at the moment. She can be self-centered and certainly doesn't know the spirit of Christmas anymore. She just doesn't get it.

:bday: party: MagiKitty!

dreamin in pa When I was a kid my aunt would return my cousins birthday and Christmas gifts in exchange of money. My mother found out and only sent them homemade gifts (she could knit, crochet, and sew). :rotfl2:

Hope all your birthday wishes comes true! :cheer2:

Happy Birthday MagiKitty!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Sounds like you have a great day planned. :cloud9:
I finally took the time to check out your trip report-it's wonderful. I love your writing style. For some reason your humor reminds of the movie "A Christmas Story", I keep imagining a narrator telling me all about the commander :lmao:

Thank you for your kind words :goodvibes . I'm just hoping the Buffalo weather cooperates with our early morning departure. The forecast calls for a rain/snow mix with the possibility of icy roads-should be an interesting ride to the airport :rolleyes1

dreamin in pa- I'm sorry about your SIL :headache: That's just so not fair!!

Jrabbit910-what a great birthday greeting!!
