I told my boyfriend about first dentist, first steps, and I think he's thoroughly freaking out. Its not that I want babies any time soon, but just letting him know its on my agenda. Besides, my mother is dying for a little one. I'm definitely not ready for that. I'm having a difficult time just dealing with my pets.

Here's my new question about the Tag Fairy...how does she know what to tag you with? Does she have a way of going through all your posts? Freaky, I tell you. BUt cool nonetheless.

I got a upgraded to a new digital camera right before my trip. I was most concerned with size. I had the old Canon which took amazing pictures but was so bulky. I got a new Nikon which just slips into my pocket. I don't know how to do any cool things with it. dreamin, is the sepia tones in your camera, or did you play with it on the computer?

Good grief, I almost forgot to tell ya'll that DS took his first solo steps tonight. I'm so proud, but also exhausted thinking about running after him, trying to keep him out of trouble. He gets into everything.

I didn't understand why it was taking so long when I sent this and it came back you have a limit of 25 sig's, smilies, etc. and I was over the limit! That total is included when you have multi quotes in your post, so I had to remove a few.

I have a Canon PowerShot A630. Yeah, it's kinda bulky and certainly not anything you could slip in a pocket. It does have the sepia and I think I figured out how to use that setting once. But for the picture I posted, I messed with it on the computer. I downloaded Picasa and did it that way. Someone on the disboards recomended it and it's a free download.

you know when you go to user cp, and you list all subscriptions? it says folders and edit folders. i was able to make folders, but i don't know how to get the threads into the folders!!! anyone know how to do this? i tried right clicking - doesn't work. i'm at a loss!!

We were so fortunate that when DD pulled up and took her 1st steps DH had just received a new video camera, was messing around with it and captured it on tape. I actually think marked the beginning of "her showing off for the camera" stage that she has yet to outgrow


MagiKitty be thankful that ballet flats are very much in style. I broke/dislocated 4 toes on one foot this summer-one is still messed up.
I wore Croc Athens sandals but now the weather is cooler (cool as it can get for the Tx Gulf Coast) I have been buying up ballet flats. My DMom told me to make sure I bought shoes at the end of the day (when the swelling is at it's worse) so they won't pinch after a long day-or if you need them for the evening.

I hope everyone is doing great.
DH is off to Atlanta for a week and I will be getting the house ready for the In-laws-I think DH planned it this way.

3. scroll down to the bottom of the same page and on the right side will be a box with "move to folder" and a box with the word "go" in it. Click on go.
4. a new page will come up and ask you to pick a folder. Then just click "move items"

i wanted to separate my subscriptions into trip reports, dvc (i'm dreaming!), and this great thread was getting it's very own folder so i can find it easily!!
and don't worry about bragging about your kid! if you can't brag to us, who can you brag to??!! that's what friends are for!


DizzDoll - i'm jealous! i've never been to the jersey shore, but i have friends who go every year, and i hear it's beautiful!

and thanks for asking about the dentist appt, she did great. a little nervous,of course, but pretty good. i don't know if i've mentioned this, but i'm actually a dentist (don't hate me !) i haven't been working since i had my son, but she really needed to have a check up. plus i want her to get used to seeing other people, too. so i'm used to people saying they hate dentists, so just remember, you liked me(i think!) before you knew!!!! i'm also ready for questions!! LOL!

I'm back from my big day , to the one, the only, the best thread around. What a difference less then 24 hrs. makes!! babies have taken their first steps, going to dentist. Way to many, are figuring out the digital camera thing still I am are confused! . Tag fairy thing???(don't want to use to many of my smilies) I still don't get it???what is it exactly. My day was normal?, awoke before DD but DS was up for school. DH was surprised and asked why are you down here so early, "because I can". I just wanted to role back into the norm of a few months ago. So I did nothing special and my feet are feeling it. I finally drove today, yeah I still can. My DD 16 1/2 who has her permit, told me I would let you drive, but I have to get to work and it's been awhile for you, so I'll drive. Okay, the good news is. it is like riding a bike! you never forget. I did get pkg. together for DN who is Iraq and DS class made him cards which are very sweet. I tried to read and catch up, before posting. I had to check in tonight, but if I multi quoted everyone, and commented I would still be writing! I think I may have pushed it a little today, I have so much lost time to make up for and Christmas its right around the corner, but I admit defeat, I'm beat. OK, all you techno-geniuses out there in TK land. I am in a pickle here and need your help!

I am trying to put together a Christmas e-card to send to friends and family, instead of wasting tons of paper and sending traditional cards by mail. I want to put in some photos of our travels this year.

I see people all the time who send me emails and there are photos right in the body of the email. But I can't do it! I can send them as attachments, but not in the body. I even tried doing it all as a word document and doing the copy and paste thing, but the photos didn't copy over. Then I tried using the word document as an attachment, and the photos didn't come through.

So, HOW do I get the photos into my email to send around the world to the many (OK, about 74) people who are anxiously awaiting my holiday greetings??

good morning whgrn! i'll tell you how i do it with my email, it may not work, depending on what email you use - but you can give it a try!

in my email, there are 2 choices. one says "attach file", the other says "share photos" or maybe "insert photos." if i choose share photos, it brings up a different menu, and layout choices, then i enter them the same as attaching photos. also try cntr+shift+i. i use msn, and you can even get it to play as a slide show.
