Morning all! So much activity so early in the day! You go guys!

Welcome pixiedust: Disneycrewuk! So glad you found us!

I second (third? fourth?) the idea of NOT moving us. I sort have adopted the attitude of the welcoming committee...whenever I stop in to check on how we're doing (and that's way too much, but I have to cram for my DIS board sabbatical next week) I also notice the newbie posts and I have to stop in and say Hello!

I haven't gotten up the nerve to quote another poster, let alone multi-post!

So are we all good on the Thread Killer banner? Or do I have to launch another "operation"? Everyone have a good day and talk to you throughout the day! Good vibes everyone! :grouphug:

Can you put a thread into a coma instead or just mame it a bit????
If so, what would that look like?

That's deep.:rotfl:
I saw one today that came back to life though.:scared1: It was from 5/06! So I guess we can't be too concerned...there is life after death for some threads.;)

Ok, I really don't have anything to say, but I just didn't want this thread to die! :lmao:

Gonna be busy this afternoon & this evening, so I probably won't see (talk to) you guys until tomorrow!

Go threadkillers go! :cool1:

I think you're going on to page 11 :cool1:
Have fun all of those who are packing and think of us who waiting for your TRs when you get back! :dance3:

Look at us go!! already 11 pages in only a couple of days!

Has anyone written a TR before? I LOVE reading them. i just don't know how everyone remembers so much. i guess you could go by all the pictures. They're always so great and fun to read. i was reading one the other day and i was so disappointed that they never finished it!
i didn't kill it, i swear. it was dead before i got there!!

Hey everybody! Seems a bit quiet this afternoon, I hope everyone is busy with good things and not losing Thread Killers steam.

Do you think other people get scared when they see "I'm a thread killer" banner on our post?

As well packed as I'm going to be. I've given up. I struggle with the toiletries issue. My BF relies on me to bring all that stuff, while he travels with a comb and a toothbrush. But I wouldn't trust him to bring that stuff anyway.

While fully embracing the well wishes and hopes for a trip report, I must confess that this trip is mostly Universal Studios. I managed to get an amazing deal on an annual pass. We couldn't be so close to WDW and not go though! So we're joining a Wishes cruise on Wednesday (its BF's 30th birthday) and MVMCP on Thursday! We'll also go see the holiday decorations at the resorts and visit Downtown Disney. We just couldn't afford Disney tix this year. So my trip report will be more like a trip essay...but I'm so excited and can't wait to share our itsy-bitsy Disney experience. :yay:

Not really got alot to say but thought id stick me head in the door and say hello and make sure the thread was still doing well.
11 pages already......woo hoo

Well I miscalculated I thought we'd only need a couple of more posts to reach pg 11 :confused3 I guess I need more practice posting :lmao:

i am with you!
i have not been able to read all the post but.........
have been in your spot......unanswered and unhappy!

THREAD KILLERS UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!

I am off to bed now as i`m sure i`ll be up in the nite with 1 of my little monsters in the nite again (10pm in the uk)

Will check in b4 i do the school run and see how things are shapping up

Hi,
First I want to congratulate OP - in just two days you're up to eight pages - how cool! :woohoo: Secondly, I'm so jealous of the packers. You with the luggage, not the football team. At least we're in our six month countdown, so I can make adr's and read my books :teeth:
Lastly, um, my name is lindsmom and I'm a threadkiller. At least, it seems any one I subscribe to (because I actually posted and am awaiting the reply), never gets a new post after I subscribe. :sad1: There, I've confessed. I'd like to subscribe to this one, as everyone seems so nice, but I don't want to cause any mortal injury to the thread...

Making ADR's is the way to go. :thumbsup2 That's the way we did it in April and almost every dinner we did a Character dinner (or breakfast/lunch) Kept the kids entertained and eating!

Hey guys! We're on a roll! Page 9???!!! I have a feeling pretty soon we're going to be moved to the community board, where we'll have to compete with the other "thread killer" thread! :lmao:

BTW, how do you do multiple quotes? I still can't figure that out. :confused3

Oh, and I also can't figure out how to put the "thread killer" picture in my siggie.

Who Wants to be a Threadkiller is the one I started out on and has alot of great people and info. They always welcome new people.

The way I multiquote is that I hit the middle multiquote button on all the ones
I would like to reply to, then go down to the post reply button press it and the ones you multiquoted will already be in the message box, then respond to as you like. But make sure it's after the original posting or you can mess it up like I do alot! Still learning as well.

The only way I can put the sign is that I have to save it to my pic's then go to photobucket and save it in my album then make a IMG or HTML then click and drag it over to my signature page preview then save. Again not computer savvy, so it took me a few trials to do some stuff. But it's worth it cause there is alot of cool stuff out there.:cool2:

I think it worked. Yes!! for some reason I cannot insert images on the message board or signature page. Have to go in a round about way. :confused3 Someone have a better way explain please.

Did anyone notice that you can rate this thread at the bottom of the page when you post? It's under the Addtional options by submit reply! Come on out and vote!

This is becoming one of my favorite threads. Feel the love.:grouphug:

I just found this thread, and I hate to burst your bubbles, but I am the MOTHER of all thread killers!! Actually I am starting to think I may just be the Queen of the thread killers! I bet this thread stops right here with this post. :confused3

I however will wear my crown with pride by golly...maybe if I didn't say things like "By golly"??

Oh and What the HECK is "Pickled"? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Welcome home Queen PepperW23!

Here's what I was told about the little pickle man (I've already professed my love for him)

“A very old Christmas eve tradition in Germany was to hide a pickle [ornament] deep in the branches of the family Christmas Tree. The parents hung the pickle last after all the other ornaments were in place. In the morning they knew the most observant child would receive an extra gift from St. Nicholas. The first adult who finds the pickle traditionally gets good luck for the whole year.” This Christmas pickle story, with a few minor variations, can be found all over the Web and in print inside the ornament package. It says that Germans hang a pickle-shaped glass ornament on the Christmas tree hidden away so it's difficult to find. The first child to find it on Christmas morning gets a special treat or an extra present."

aww, Shmu! :wave2:

:wizard: sending good vibes your way PrincessPac! I'm looking for other Zero posts too...this goodwill is infectious.

Isn't it funny how being nice is suspicious? I try to at least be polite to everyone and not everyone takes it well. Some people think that being nice really means I have an ulterior motive! I must admit, I have a terrible habit of "kidnapping" senior citizens in my area....there isn't a lot of public transportation in my area, and I frequently offer to give someone a ride home from the grocery. Most seniors here live in nearby housing so I've gotten quite familiar with their area! I drop them off at their home and carry their bags to their doorstep. It really makes both of our days!

Recently on the BudgetBoard, a woman was asking people to send postcards to a sick little boy who was starting a postcard drive. Only two people responded. I thought it was so sad. I got the address and asked permission to forward it to my friends so they could send postcards too. I mean, a postcard and a stamp--how hard could that really be?

Have a good day everyone and look for the little kindnesses! Its fun!

I never saw that thread. I would be happy to send him a postcard (although I am not going to Disney anytime soon, so it would not be Disney).

Is the thread still there?

Thanks for the welcome!! :goodvibes :goodvibes
The pickle thing is cool! I am going to do that this year...our son was born in Germany so how fitting is that?! I just need to resist the temptation to put a real pickle in the tree haha.

I love the pickle thing - we have three pickles on the tree, and I only have on dd6 who has never looked for it! But I just really like the idea. My nieces used to race each other to the tree to find the pickle.
You should be able to find a pickle ornament lots of places that sell them. If not, pm me and I may dig one out in a couple weeks and send you one... share the pickle! Wait, that sounds inappropriate. Hmmmm :lmao:
