I remember Richard Mantooth, still looks good but he's still in his twenties in my mind. The first time I saw George Clooney on The Facts of Life I thought to myself "this guy's going to be very popular!" For once I was right!

i know what you mean, magikitty. i was always pretty close with my mom, but i found my biggest change was after i had kids. i really understood how my mom felt about us, and why she still tells us to drive carefully and all that. i finally saw through her eyes, and it has made us closer. not that i'm saying it only happens after kids! i know a lot changed once i became an adult.
i hope my daughter sees that a lot sooner!! lol!

and thanks, everyone, for your well wishes for my son. he seems to be doing better. i thought it was nice, magikitty that you said you liked hearing about my kids right after i put all that gross stuff in my post! lol! i knew what you meant though!
it sounds like you had a great time taking care of your cousin (niece?). and i'll tell you, when they're your own, you get used to that nervousness (that they'll fall, or get hurt in some way), because you know they'll be ok. after a few weeks, when they're so fragile and helpless and everything is so new, you get very comfortable. i think you are ready!!!!

sounds like you'll have a blast at the concert! it's great that you and your daughter can go with such good friends. drink up!! and a yummy dinner too!

My, oh my, I do love those men of Lost! I'm so excited it starts back again Thurs. Aren't they re-running last season's finale tonight?

-35 wind chill?!?!?!?!? Are you kidding me? My little southern self could not take it. Stay warm.

My friend and I were just on the phone planning a girls night out with our 4 yr old DDs. I definitely need to get in the habit of regularly doing stuff with just her. She's had a hard time adjusting to not being the center of attention since Rhett came along.

I'm an only child and my parents were 20 years old when I was born. We moved away from their hometown when I was 2 so we had no relatives nearby. We did everything together. I know many of my freinds enjoyed coming to my house cause Mom played games with us. It is great to hear you making special time for each child. I know some of my friends could use that advice.

Oh, and here's a cute moment for the mommy crowd. DS told me yesterday that he "loves pizza" but he "especially loves" me. I feel so honored! Outranking pizza is a pretty big deal for an almost 3 yr old!

I love kids perspectives on the world.

Audisfan..get packing! There must be so much to do before you go. I'm so excited for you. Take lots of pics--I've never seen ASmu or OKW so I'd love to see what its like there. Again, drive safe and have fun for all of us!

Yes! Lost finally returns tonight. They're playing the last season's finale tonight and the premiere tomorrow. I wish they had played a few other episodes before also, I kinda forgot what the storylines were. And can we say Josh Holloway? Woo wee! I traded TV Guides with my brother last week just so I could get him on the cover (mine had Locke) on it.

Hee hee, magsnden, I'll make sure to mention that "its time" to procreate to my BF. My mother, on the other hand, would be absolutely thrilled to have a little one, no questions asked. I miss my little cousin. My aunts says she's still waking up in the morning looking for me and cries when I'm not around. I hear that dreadful TICK TICK and I wonder what my future may hold. My sister's ovaries are six years younger than mine, and we've already talked about a "layaway" system just in case I need them...

Oh, lighttech, anytime you come before pizza in a man of any age its a HUGE deal! Your little guy sounds so cute! How do they know how to be so adorable and pull at your heartstrings?

AUdisfan-We stayed at All-Star Movies 2 years ago when we went. It was pretty cool and the kids liked going to the Toy Story Section. Have a great trip and bring us lots of pictures. Especially OKW. I just love the look of that resort.

i totally hear you about the clock and the ovaries! i had some trouble with staying pregnant and had a miscarriage before both maggie and dennis, so my sister and i talked about it and she was ready to carry a baby for me. isn't that the sweetest?

when you're ready you'll know. i swear i almost wrote in my last post, don't show this to your boyfriend or he'll faint! you read my mind!

audisfan - how long is your drive? i hope it's a short one, so you're there really quick! how's the packing going? you're leaving friday, right? so exciting!

We stayed at ASMo 2 yrs ago and POP last year on our first night. Yeah, DD loves it.

You ain't kiddin' about the laundry. Doing one more load tomorrow and I'm done. Nowhere near done packing. Of course, I'm a notorious over-packer. We definitely need a packing smilie.

We sneak in an extra night on our vacation by going down the day before our main reservation and staying at a value resort. Shhh, don't tell anyone.

Our drive is 7 hrs. Not too terribly long, but long enough with 2 little ones. Never been more than 2 hrs from home with DS, so we'll see how he takes it. We're planning on leaving super early Fri (like 4 am early) so that hopefully the kids sleep for a good while on the road. I told DH I'll be riding in my PJs too, just like the kids.

Magikitty - she is soooo cute! I'm so excited about Lost coming back too. I'm afraid I won't get to see any of the premier Thurs night because I won't be done packing. Really wish I had a TIVO right about now.

Whew! I think that's the longest post I've ever done. I'm pooped!

Good morning friends! Audisfan, how's the packing and prep going? I too am a chronic overpacker. During my trip last November, I had to pay for an extra luggage on my way back just due to all the shopping I did on vacation! This could have been avoided if I had just packed one bag to go there instead of two. Its just so hard to weed out the stuff, especially if you want to prepare for everything. Seven hours isn't too bad of a drive, leaving early is a good idea, pajamas all the way is an even better one. Again, have lots of fun and be safe!

Bopsmom...did DH come home safely? How was the frozen north? We're supposed to get ice tomorrow. Brr...I should prepare to be stuck inside all weekend. I don't even watch the Superbowl but I celebrate it culinarily (is that a word? If not, I now deem it so) with nachos and wings tempered by a veggie plate. Potatoes count as a vegetable, right?

I cannot wait for Lost tonight! I even dreamed of Josh Holloway last night. How have I gone without those dimples for so many months? Seriously, they just slay me. His dimples and Jeff Probst from Survivor. I'm a sucker for a pair of dimples.

Thanks so much for complimenting my kid, as I've been referring to her. She's almost 2 1/2. She has this funny way for talking, she mostly just says the last syllable of words, like "ter" is water. She gets a little frustrated at times, its like talking to a little alien. She does say "hi" and "miss you" on the phone to me. I'm plotting her kidnapping.

How the walkers doing? It was 24 when I took the dog on our walk this morning. When it's only 20 I refuse, no matter how sad the dog looks. Finally got a dusting of snow last night, it was gone by this morning.
