Okay, Thanks!!! The shoe, of course the shoe!! I call those flip flops, and I love her avitar. .4 is not bad, so slap it off and move on:thumbsup2. You can do it:cheer2:

Ugggggh, Okay, you all know the recipe thread you guys told me about when I was looking for the dip? Well, I'll fill in tomorrow, but I can't believe what is going on the OP is missing and we were tring to track her down, or have them let us update the index, you can't believe the mess this has become. I contacted Kaylar, its not her forum and she turned it over to the mods there and it's just become a whirlwind. I'm being nice:cloud9:. Go over and read the last few and see. :scared1:

My siggie will be "GET A LIFE!!!"

Now I'm confuzzzzed. :confused3 I could not find the recipe thread you mentioned. I did find one with WW recipes indexed. :yay: That looks good.

Technology venting should be today's topic. My computer was sooooo slow this am. At first I tought it was broken. Just a blue screen so I restarted it and it did come on. Got AOL up and tried to check address book and it froze. Got out of it and it would not come back on. Restarted computer and tried AOL again---finally came up. I don't know why so many problems. Maybe I'm just too cheap but I am not wasting money on high speed now. I guess I could go cheaper than AOL but I'm afraid I'll loose all my saved addresses and bookmarked places. I just do not want to learn andifferent system.

I need some .

Hey Guys:wave2:

WHAT!:scared1: I MISS A WEEK OR SO AND MY TK BANNER IS GONE!!!!!Well, fine:sad1: :lmao:

I am sooo behind in the topics I think I will just lurk until I catch up.:surfweb:

We survived Spring Break, Easter, our birthdays (mine and DD's), and spring plantings. I'll need :pixiedust: for tomatoes (I love them but have a tough time growing them and beating the animals to them)

I got rid of the skunks and it didn't involve firearms!! The organic stuff I used had an added bonus.
My (lovely:rolleyes1 )neighbors have 3 dogs that they just let poop all over my yard/flowerbeds,sidewalk,porches,everywhere and they never pick it up and really don't care if we see them do this. The neighbors have 1/2acre in their front/side yard and I have a tiny front yard so it really is just spite. This "fight" has been going on for 6 years- since I have been unable to "train" the humans, the skunk stuff has been training the animals-they now avoid my yard. :woohoo:

DH is MIA (again) :sad2: poor guy, they run him all over the country in this new job.

In my effort to keep up I can't find who was missing the basil seeds.
I know Disney54us needs some, but who's package got torn up in the mail?

BTW-Love the "GET A LIFE" I want one that says,
*"I have a Life and my Mom says I can't trade"
(*that's what she always told us about trading lunches at school)

Hope ya'll have a good day-I'm off to Hobby Lobby in an attempt to avoid :laundy:

M&N Just .4 lb? Heck that will be lost by tonight. :thumbsup2 ;)
whgrn So glad you don't have cancer! Aren't you glad you went to the Dr and not just worried yourself sick? :wizard:
Bopsmom A 2 for 1 what a deal! :rotfl:

Hi Killers, well just going on noon and the windows are just about done:cheer2:. Of course it's in the 60's though rainy, I told you I would bring you spring:laughing:

Just popping in quick. Very warm here today but rainy.

disney54us-I checked out that thread you talked about last night. What started out as a wonderful thread is getting ruined by a selcted few. You are right..."GET A LIFE"
Hey dreamin, how's that cold:sick: and sinus problems???
Can you believe that?? and the one poster who has never been on the thread comes out of no where w/inaccurate Business Law 101:rolleyes1.

Hi, I believe its on the restaurant boards, the first page is a index of recipes and the 2nd a wanted list. if you go to the last few pages you can read the drama:scared1:. Someone had posted a link here some time ago when I was in my big dip search, and that's how I accessed it and then subscribed.

A :bday: to you and DD, how did the Mystery party go??? You'll have to fill us in when you catch up.
:rotfl2: well I guess those skunks came in handy:laughing:.
:sad2: DH MIA again.

HI EVERYONE!!!!

i don't know how i missed soooooo much, but i'm going to try to do some catching up! but it'll have to be later, i'm taking mags to the doctor in a little while, she's been sick for a week. poor thing.

i hope you all remember me!
missing you all,
sue

MAGSNDEN you're back too!!!! :cool1:

Of course we remember you! We were worried too since you haven't checked in for so long. Now go catch up and here's a  for Mags...hope she feels better soon.

:wave2: Bopsmom!!!! How was the mystery party? Fill us in...it sounded so interesting when you were talking about it.

Stealing a quick minute... I'll try to be back later... I definitely need some "mommy time."

Magsnden - Welcome back!!! Sorry about Mags
Dreamin' - This cold stinks! I feel like I want to drill a hole in my head to let out the pressure. I hope you are feeling better soon.
WHGRN - YEA!!!! I'm so glad the Dr appt turned out on the upswing. I mean, I'm sorry you might need more surgery, but it seems like something that is manageable. And, honestly, (I'm joking, of course) but I could use 5 days where I'm not allowed ot move.
Bopsmom- Welcome back too! Can't wait 'till you catch up. We got all our seeds. There's a thankyou several pages ago where DS gave you some smilies. He was SO excited. He and DH already did the basil to start inside, we're waiting on the others for now.

Everyone - Thanks so much for the well wishes w/ daycare. I can't believe how much its stressing me out. I know I just need to get done with it and make a decision. Thats part of the problem. I don't want to make a decision just because I'm tired of deciding and regret it later.

I visited 2 YMCAs today. Both promising, but the one closes early and may not work for us. The other, everthing is pretty good logistically (money, schedule, etc.) but, unfortunately, I got there when all the classes were in btw lunch/potty time/nap time, so it was somewhat chaotic and I didn't get to really see how the teachers are w/ the kids, so I'll have to go back. I've done enough working w/ kids that I know I can't judge them by what I saw today... even the smoothest running daycare w/ the best behaved kids would be nutty at that time of day. So, I was feeling at least pretty good, and then the lady told me they may not have openings in November in their infant care!

Keep your fingers crossed for me. The program director has been out, and she should be back in to give me the official answer by phone tomorrow. Hoping the answer is yes, and then I go back and visit and I love the teachers too! (Is that too much to ask for?:confused3 ) Anyway, I'll catch up moree later.

Oh - could use an opinion too. The teacher who showed me around today let me know that the director had been out b/c she lost her father. Would it be appropriate to say something if we talk tomorrow? I'd like to offer my condolensces, but I don't know if the co-worker should have even said anything to me or not, or if it would be weird for a stranger to say something.

Thanks. (sorry for spelling, gotta run and don't have time to fix it.)

Welcome Back magsnden!!!!

We really really missed you! We were SO worried about what might have befallen you! I'm glad you're ok, and so sorry little mags is sick! Hope she's on the mend soon. And just really really glad you are back here where you belong!

And bopsmom, welcome back to you too!

Ahh, the gang is back together. Well, except Shmu, but we KNOW where she went, and she''ll be back.

BTW, I'm the one with the torn envelope who still needs basil.

So, I spent 5 hours at the dentist, under sedation, having a ton of work done, and now I'm a little sore, and a lot groggy, but not enough to go to sleep...yet.

Today one of the kids on the bus was annoying DS, so DS "flipped him the bird and told him to f*** off". Nice, huh? The guidance counselor called, and told me DS is NOT in trouble, but she wants to know who got him so upset, since he wouldn't do this otherwise. I actually agreed with her too! But when I asked DS, and first he said he just told the kid to "shut up", he only fessed up when I told him I'd already heard what he did! So now he has to write a note of apology to the other kid (who really IS a pain in the a**, and I'd like to tell him to f*** off too, especially when he keeps annoying the heck out of DS. BUT, what DS did WAS wrong, and now I get to email the counselor and tell her what happened. Oh, and just HOW was this kid annoying DS? He was talking about Transformers. DS thinks they are stupid. And THAT is the reason for cursing someone out? I don't THINK so!! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

In other news, DMom is still here and I am so glad. At least I don't have to face these demons (er, I mean, children...) alone today!

:yay: The lost have returned. I think we need to make a rule that says if you think you won't be on for a while, you need to tell us...like Shmu did. We have enough stress to deal with.
lighttech: You have good instincts...she may not want to talk about father's death but then she may welcome the opportunity to say something about him. It sounds like you are not making a rash decision about daycare. It seems hard because it's so important to you. When you make it, just know it's the right one.
Disney54us---we'll take anything that brings spring. Just think how much fun you will have cleaning those new windows after they get messy from April showers. I know my old ones are terrible now. (I guess smilies don't do windows so I cannot insert one!)

Ok, I'm back. Didn't take as long as I thought to get DS bathed and down for (late) nap. I should be using this time to continue cleaning out the 2nd bedroom that will become DSs "big boy" bedroom when baby arrives, but, like I said, I need some "mommy time." So, here comes another vent... seems like we're doing a lot of that lately. ;) Although, mine isn't nearly as serious as a lot of them have been! I'm just having a grouchy day.

So, I think the daycare thing (see above) really set me off. Then, DS has been just pushing my buttons today. I don't know why. He's definitely into the "terrible's" a little w/ testing and all. He seems to have waited for the 3's instead of the 2's. But, he's not usually this persistant all day. We had so much on our plate today, and he just whined 1/2 the time. But, to be fair, I know I was picking at him too. I hate when I do that, but btw this cold and the pregnancy hormonal roller coaster, and the daycare stress from today, I was just plain negative today. I remember having a lot of moments in my first pregnancy too, but not quite this many. I've always struggled a little w/ hormonal depression (PMDD like stuff) and I think the pregnancy is really triggering a few down days for me here and there. Luckily, having dealt w/ depression before, I'm pretty aware of my own emotions. And, a round of it was like clockwork for me each month for a long time. As long as I can identify it as hormonal, it really helps me get out of it b/c I have a reason. (Doesn't necessarily help me feel better in the moment, but I know its going to get better, so I can get by w/o getting into that bad cycle of "I feel bad. I feel bad that I feel bad. Now I feel bad that I feel worse... etc.)

So, anyway, its really nothing major, and I feel better just having gotten it off my chest, but I'm just kind of having a lousy-for-no-good-reason day. I'm really hoping DS will take a nice little nap so I can either accomplish something or give myself a break and be a better mom when he wakes up. (It would probably help if the idiot kids w/ motorbikes who live up the road would stop revving them every 5 minutes... see... just plain negative today! :sad2:  )

Thanks for listening again guys. And, thanks for putting up w/ my rambling about daycare too. It must get kind of old reading it, but it helps SO much getting it out. Dmom has much different standards and concerns than I do (she and I talk about everything) so she hasn't been able to help much w/ this one. And DH just doesn't worry too much. He always figures everything will work out eventually (usually b/c I take care of it, but after 14 yrs together [almost 8 married] I still don't think he's figured that out yet. ) So, venting to him doesn't work either b/c I just wind up feeling frustrated that he's not as concerned as I am... whereas I should really be thankful b/c if we were both this "Type A", we'd probably strangle each other.

Alright, off to get something accomplished (or eat chocolate... haven't decided yet) so I can get myself out of this funk.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Please check out this link. I just got an article via email from DH. And, ironically, aside from venting here, it might be just what I needed to turn my day around. (Go figure a little potty-humor... its not offensive, just utterly bizarre.)

Its an article on a new game from Wii. I seriously can't decide if I want to shake my head or roll around laughing. I think the folks making Wii games could save the world if they just turned their minds in a different direction.

lighttech, I'll share my lifelong opinion with you here, for free!

When the going gets tough, the tough eat chocolate!

There, did that help you decide what to do next? I hope so!

Seriously, though, we are NOT (at least I am not) sick of reading about daycare. If anything, it makes me glad I don't have to go through that anymore! LOL. Really honey, you just vent all you have to. That's what we are HERE for! We are your friends, and friends listen, offer help when they can, and are just there for you when they can't!

And you are NOT a bad mom! (That title is MINE!) You are having a tough time. I don't think DS will be damaged for life becuase you had a grumpy day here and there (if that happens, my kidsd are doomed!)

Hang in there!! It WILL get better!!!

that WII game :rotfl2: I have to tell DH about it, especially about NOT getting liquid on the floor.

Thanks! I think I'm about to make some cocoa and have a Hershey bar! DS is playing in his crib, so I doubt he'll be down long enough for me to get anything done anyway.

And, I don't really think I'm a bad mom... I just hate when I nitpick him. He's got me wrapped around his finger (I do discipline, but man... when he gives me those eyes! I melt... I don't give in, but I melt.) Like at one point today he got in trouble b/c he just wasn't listening in the car and kept whining and when I said that he had to stop saying "sorry" and show me he knew how to listen. He said "I'm showing you. See! Mommy, when we get to the store can I give you a hug so you'll be happy?" He didn't stop whining, but good Lord that kid knows how to tug at the heart strings.

I can't wait for the on-air demos!!! Everyone in the studio will be lined up to watch this one! Oooo. BTW - I got an on-air thank you from our Miss Lisa Robertson the other day. I went out to "fix" her lighting and, lo and behold, she knows my name and thanked me when we came out of break. I honestly didn't think she knew who I was. I mostly work in the dark!

Maybe they should make it standard issue for young boys as a training video! :lmao:
I think my favorite line is in the "features" section...
"Amazing Realistic Pee Fluid Dynamics"
Seriously... Who comes up w/ this stuff?!?!?!? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

And you are NOT a bad mom! (That title is MINE!)

Forgot to say... even though I know you are joking around... No WAY!! I have never heard of as many creative parenting attempts as you go thru. You have your kids best interests at heart, and you do the best you can w/ the cards you have been dealt... as do we all.

Those are the kind of DS stories you appreciate when they are older.

:woohoo: Knows your name even! Lighttech makes it happen. :woohoo: I mostly work in the dark! Sounds like a good tag to me! Here TF!!!!!

lighttech- I hear on having one of those days. This cold is so horrible right now and all I want to do is sleep. DH was home early from work today because of the rain but I still didn't get to rest. But he sure as heck took a nap. I know he commutes for work and works very hard but I am just exhausted. He had this cold last week and took the day off of work and slept in until 11 or so. I can't even remember the last time I had "a day off". Of course, I got po'd but sometimes he just doesn't get it. And I know all about the whining....DD6 is a whiner. We work on it daily but it can really wear on you. Oh and that game is very funny. Wonder if it could teach the boys in my house to have better aim? :rotfl:

Hey all, just checking in real quick before I shut down coz it is raining cats and dogs here, with some serious lightning. I do have a surge protector, but I still have fears.

Big hugs to all the great mommies in the world, and especially the ones I've come to know on this thread. I am constantly amazed how intensive parenting can be, how much creativity and effort you put in. You all truly are inspirations. And yes, those little hugs are the best.

So now its April and if you believe the rumors about the free dining package in September, you're like me and salivating at the email box. Is it too premature to plan my TS? I've only done the luau at the Polynesian, and eaten in Morocco, and BF has never had a TS. We usually share CS and run around everywhere. Honestly, though, as long as he gets a chipwich, he's happy for the rest of the day.

Congrats to whgrn on a successful dr. and dentist appt. Good luck to lighttech on the daycare, congrats on the skunk resolution! BIg hugs to everyone, and will try to check in after the storm...have a good night if I dont' see y'all again.

I have to check out this recipe fiasco...sounds interesting...
