We just made ADR'S for our last lunch at the Whispering Canyon. Any thoughts, it's just my boyfriend and i. How was the food? :yay:

We ate there a few days ago for dinner. We had a 7:45 reservation and the place was busy but we got seated within 10 minutes or so. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was brought out in a timely manner. I had the skillet which was wonderful. The meats were moist, the potatoes were yummy. I loved the salad. We all loved the cornbread. My niece got the ribeye and mashed and she loved it. We were so full we took dessert to go.

We loved the meal. I have to say though that it is loud. There are antics going on and kids doing stick horse races and calls for ketchup about every five minutes. If you can deal with all of that noise then I would recommend it. We had a great meal.

I have to agree with the above post it can be pretty loud with the kids on the wooden horses and the ketchup thing they do but the food was very good when we went, very kid friendly,we were there as just 2 adults and still enjoyed some servers seemed better then others but all were nice I would recomend it :thumbsup2

We've eaten there many times and are going back this summer. It can be very chaotic, or you can get a waiter who isn't in on the antics. But either way, it's still fun. We love the food.

Chaotic indeed! We had lunch there on Wednesday. We had Bridget for a waitress and she was a hoot! When the Boss wanted Mayo, she yelled across the restaurant for Bridget and Bridget went with it!

We were concerned about the bit of Sausage we found on the floor behind our table. We gave it to Bridget, and she threw it back on the floor! Not sure if this was part of the show or not.

The food was good though.

We went to WCC last week and everything was great. Well, except they were out of milkshakes...One of the only reasons I wanted to go back after a horrible experience last September!

We, just my DH and I, were seated in the back of the restaurant in a quiet area. It was heaven! Our server was awesome and kept everything replenished. He was friendly but not annoying. (We told him we would skip all the antics if that was okay with him. He seemed very relieved.)

Last September, we had quite a different experience. We were seated in the main dining room, because we wanted to see all the antics. However, the service was sloooowww. (We're talking two and half hours!) Our group, 6 adults, ordered the skillet, and the server only brought back a little bit of mashed potatoes and two ribs when we asked for more. It was horrible. The manager ended up giving us our dining credits back.

WCC really redeemed itself in our eyes during our trip last week. We'll definitely go back.

i think that the food is pretty good here...i like the fried chicken...it's a very fun experience...i have eaten here twice and had really fun and friendly waiters both times...they do some fun activities and get the whole restaurant having a good time together! i would def go back agains sometime!

We dined at Whispering Canyon for the first time last summer and loved it! Can't wait to return this year. I was more than a meal... it was an event.

We have reservations here in June for the first time. So you can request a quiter area? We are not too into the antics that they do here, I guess like at Prime Time Cafe? My husband hated it - did I make a mistake by booking this? We liked the menu, but want to skip all of the craziness.

This would be fantastic if we could do this. My wife and I drool over the food pics for this restaurant, but we're dead set on not being part of some silly show while we eat. Most have said "Well, Whispering Canyon isn't for you then!". If we get get seated in a quiet(er) corner, we'd be in heaven.

Ask to be seated in the back room -- there are only six tables (it is right by the stairs by Artist Point). It was very quiet back there when we were there in September (actually, it was quiet in the whole restaurant--none of the antics were going on the night we were there).

Yep, that's where we sat.

I just read your review of your visit last September. We had the same experience. We were there over two hours (waited more than 30 minutes past our ADR time to be seated); food was awful (DH got sick on the skillet) and the server was obviously very new...very slow and kept screwing up.

Fantastic, now I can pencil in WC on my ADR list. I'll happily wait longer to sit in semi-peace and still load up on pulled pork :)

We were just there on Thursday 3/26/09. WE LOVED IT. This was out first time there but we thought it was great. My only word of advise is go hungry. We had a late lunch and then a 5:20 dinner so we were not quite ready to eat the amount of food we ordered.

I have a 6 & 8 year old son and they thought all the noise and games were really fun.

This is one of the places we will go back to in the future.
