So with all the recent weather and another on the way I was wondering what everyone thinks of where Disney will be cruising to?????

Both sides have been hit pretty good so far and as we know another is comming in lookin like East this time (last I heard anyway) so what are your thoughts?????

Where will the Eastern Stop if St Martin, St Thomas, and Castaway are destroyed?

How about Western reports are Grand Caymen is really bad how is Cozumel anyone heard anything?????

I have a friend who was scheduled west a few years ago and they went to Puerto Rico but didn't they get a bit of this too????

Just looking for a few opinions on what else is out there as options I am not planning ANYTHING for our October Cruise at this point except making it to the ship so far.....Allready had to rebook flights as the carrier we had booked with back in April has decided to not fly from Youngstown to Orlando anymore and am now wondering about the whole USAIR mess up here in Pennsylvania just hoping I still have a flight to get there at this point (really don't wanna do the drive thing again).

Opinios really wanted Lets see what everyone knows about those islands out there what are the possibilities????????

A few looks but no opinions boy does that mean we are all in trouble here????? LOL Has anyone (except the most recent cruisers) even been on a cruise that was diverted from the original course above and beyond just skipping a port and having that extra day at sea???? If so where did you go and how long were you in those ports????

I've been thinking about this as well, so I've looked at some of the places the ships have gone before. The biggest deciding factor will be if and where any storms are haning.

Here are some of the possibilities:

Costa Maya
San Jaun
Antiqua
St Lucian
Charleston SC

Plus if you are scheduled for eastern and there is a storm in that region, they can go to western ports, that are in okay shape. And vice versa.

We're resigning ourselves to the idea that up until we sail and maybe then as well, we will be on at least a partial mystery cruise. I don't really care as long as I'm on the ship!

There's always Belize and Jamaica. They may need to make arrangements prior to docking at certain ports so it could be hard to arrange that some times. But something to look into. Freeport?

I think Costa Maya looks a pretty sure bet , DCl told me today that we may be going there on our 9th October western, jamaica probably out for a while due to hurricanes, the way i see it ive never been to any of the islands so anywheres a treat for me:-)

Out of all the ports on my upcoming cruise I was really looking forward to Grand Cayman.:( I feel so sorry for the poor people affected by IVAN the Terrible and Mean JEANNE!! Anyhow, I would love to see Belize or Costa Maya, just please don't send me to Nassau!!

I am on the 09/18 sailing of the Magic and we are to go to Antigua and St. Thomas. I booked an excursion on Antigua on my own and heard from them today that Jeanne didn't cause any damage there.

So glad that Jeanne didn't cause any damage in Antigua. That's a port that DD hasn't been to and I know she's looking forward to seeing it.

I think the folks who've posted in the past that they consider the ship to be the destination and the ports to be a neat bonus have the right idea for traveling in hurricane season.

I think the DCL CMs are some of the hardest working folks around and go out of their way to make sure you have a great time.
