So, for my April 30-May 5 trip, this is my very tentative itinerary :

Sunday - arrival day
M: Flying Fish
T: Steakhouse 71
W: Three Bridges
Th: Jiko
F: Homecoming

I may adjust because T, W and Th dinners look to be all steak/burgers/meat, and that’s a bit much even for me. I’m also thinking of doing 71 as a lunch on my MK day as a nice way of taking a park break...though I may also still do dinner.

My options for Sunday will be limited to non-park restaurants as my AP is for weekday only. I love idea of having dinner in DS, but

Jaleo - I LOVE tapas
Sebastian‘s Bistro - I wanted to try this in November (but I’m just solo for most of my dinners, so not sure if this would be way too much food?
Citricos - menu looks interesting, lovely atmosphere,
Raglan Road - it’s fun. I cancelled my reservations for my November arrival date due to mixed reviews. It still sounds very appealing, but I could have a similar meal at Rose & Crown
Trattoria al Forno - I normally do not (especially when I lived in NY) do Italian on vacation, but I feel like I’m going to need a pasta fix, lol

Thoughts? If I just do SH 71 for lunch, then I’ll have an extra dinner. However, I’m torn - the lunch menu sounds amazing, and I’ve been craving the prime rib and Yorkshire pudding for weeks.

Thanks !

When I saw your thread title, I thought you were trying to figure out how to hire people! But to answer your question: I'd keep the Steakhouse 71 as a mid-day break. So relaxing. Go to Raglan Road, you missed it last time. Have fun

Oh no, lol....I was trying to be clever because I didn’t want to use the same old ”need advice on reservations” lol. 😂😂😂 I can see why you thought that ! I edited the title !

Yeah, I think Raglan is a good idea ...The way things work out, I may end up doing Homecoming for lunch, in which case I think I’d add Citricos as my last dinner

Thank you! I will post my reviews as soon as I can during or after my trip !

3 Bridges, Jiko, and Homecoming are excellent. 3 Bridges has great apps and drinks. You could do a tapas/lighter thing, if you wanted. I love Jaleo; it’s hard for me to pass it up. Haven’t done SH71. We are doing Flying Fish next month, and I am very excited.

All of those listed are in my Top 10! We also love Topolino’s (my absolute favorite) and Citricos.

Solid choices!

LOVE Jaleo and Flying Fish. Had great meals there pre and post Co-vid.
Really like Raglan Road.

haven't been to the others since they re opened.

I was shocked how much I loved 3 Bridges in November - best hamburger I’ve ever had, and I had the pan con tomate (which I’d had at Toledo and adored).

I wish Jiko had a more extensive menu, but it’s still very interesting - I’m really looking forward to that.

So it’s pretty much down to Jaleo vs. Citricos. I’ve got some time before my 60 days start, and we’ll see if the menus change at all...

I can’t wait to hear about your experience at FF !

Thanks !

I suspect I’m going to lean towards Citricos rather than Jaleo, but I’ve got a ways to go before I can make my reservations, so we’ll see, lol.

I hope Topolino‘s one day has a more appealing menu, because back in November and now, there’s not much on there that I’d eat. I’d love to give it a shot one day,

Thank you! I am really looking forward to Flying Fish ...I hope the snapper with potato crust is still on there in May !

Is the bread pudding at RR as good as I’ve read ? Yum !

Oh my gosh those all look delicious! Keep Steakhouse 71 for lunch. We did that last trip and really enjoyed it.

This list us A+! Awesome! Add Jaleo to the list and you will have a close to perfect list! Have a great trip.

I've never had a bad meal at Citrico's or FF. I've been to Jaleo once and it was wonderful. I was less impressed by Raglan Road. Jiko has always been very good as well but looking at the menu, it does seem to be a bit more limited.

I‘m definitely keeping it for lunch - and dinner, too, lol. If I make it an early-ish dinner, I can go to MK for a few evening rides, and maybe the fireworks. I think Happily Ever After will have started by then...

Thank you! I likely will wind up with Jaleo...as an AP holder, I know I will eventually try Raglan and other restaurants, so I don’t feel quite so torn, lol.

I‘m thinking that I should do Jaleo not on arrival day because it could be such a nice change of pace from my other meals...but then again, it would be perfect because I can take the boat from POFQ.

I have lots to ponder, lol

Thank you!

It is, but it’s so exotic and different - I think I’m ok with a relatively limited, but interesting menu, since it’s food I can’t get anywhere else,

I think I’ll save RR for next time....I love the menu and Irish music, but it’s not going anywhere, so I can try it next time.

FF has been a must from the start, but for a week or so now, I’ve had a bee in my bonnet about Citricos. That’s a must now, too. It’s such a bonus to be near MK, which at night is even more magical than by day.

Thanks !

*If I want to keep Citricos, 3 Bridges and SH 71 for dinner, I’d have to do Jaleo for lunch on my departure day. Is that good for lunch as well as dinner ?

Thanks!

Flying fish (which is delicious) but it is not open on Monday (or Tuesday) so you’ll need to move things around if you want to go there.

Yes! Last time I was there the lunch menu was the same as dinner. Only time menu changes is brunch (which is sat sun????). My go to is the paella!

All of your choices for Mon - on are some of our favorites with the exception of Jiko only because we've never been. It's on our bucket list, though, for sure!

As for your choices for Sunday - we love Jaleo. The food and service are wonderful and it's just a different type of experience. But if you want to just sit back and have a grand, old time Raglan Road is hard to beat. I will warn you though, that many tables either have a very poor view of the stage or none at all. Keep that in mind. The only one of your choices I'd not recommend was Sebastian's Bistro. We ate there for the first time last month and while it was fine, we were not overly impressed and have no plans to go back.
