Hi,
Leaving for our first trip to Universal in many years, we'll be staying at RPR for 7 nights (going to SW and Legoland also.) There will be 3 families, 10 people and I've done all of the planning, so I'm a bit stressed about choosing decent places to eat... this is a crowd that loves to eat. I've poured over the sticky (which was amazing) and all the other food threads I could find, and have narrowed it down to these places and I would love to hear everyone's thoughts about these places or recommendations for others.

For US:
Boulangerie seems like it is the most recommended. Anything else? We may just go back to IOA or Citywalk rather than eat here, unless I've missed something.

For IOA:
Mythos and 3 broomsticks sound like must-dos, for theming if nothing else
Blondies?
Thunder Falls?

At RPR:
Bula Bar
Orchid court for breakfast snacks (don't think we want sit-down breakfasts)
Orchid sushi

The kids all live for pizza, so I thought of going to Sal's one night.

Then we'll probably do Margaritaville and the new Brazilian place one night each.

That still leaves a couple of meals open, any other suggestions?

TIA!!!

NBA City gets a lot of really good reviews. My son just got back from RPR today and they tried the new menu at the Islands Dining room and said it was really good. I like all of your choices so far.

The Studios:
Louie's and Finnegan's

IOA:
Mythos and Thunder Falls Terrace

Great, I'll put them on the list for the days we're not sure about yet.
Thanks for your response, and the sticky, it was so helpful!

Definitely Finnegan's, especially if you like a cold brew with your meals.

You can walk through the 3 Broomsticks and check it out without eating there -- the food is just so-so. Not bad, but nothing worth missing good food over.

Do you like pancakes at all? Because if so, do NOT miss the Islands dining room, everything we had there was really, really good, the pancakes were awesome lol!

I would do NBA city for Pizza! One of the best pizza's I've ever had. The Nascar cafe was also really good and reasonably priced especially if you are feeding a young/teenage boys.:lmao:

ETA: maybe I'm crazy, but the pizza at Sal's was just so so (and kinda expensive for what you get) NBA city's pizza was much better (imo!)

I agree with this. Just get drinks and set and enjoy the scenery at 3 Broomsticks. The food was nothing special. Unless you have a die hard HP fan with you there's really no need to eat a meal there.

Upscale: consider the Tchoup Chop at RPR. Grrrrrreat atmosphere, beautiful, good food (had the short ribs a couple years ago - really good), great service - really recommend this place. A bit pricey, but perfect for a special occasion or for a special night out.
