I am at my last night here at the Marriott. Of course, we haven't had alot of time here at the hotel, but it.s been a nice stay.
Check in was fast and easy. Our rooms were next to each other but not connecting. That was fine for us, as we have teens. Thee concierge floors are the 17th, 18th and 19th. The lounge is actually on the 18th floor.
We only ate the evening appetiizers once and it was crab cakes. we were there at the tail end, so there may have been more initially. We ate breakfast each morning. Onee day it was scrambled eggs, sausage annd hash browns. Another day was scrambled eggs, pancakes and bacon. We have one more breakfast tomorrow to see if its any different! In addition there was fruit, toast, muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, juices and coffee. It was quite good.
My kids ate the pizza hut one night. Adequete, not great; its pizza hut!!! We had Starbucks 2 mornings. We didn't eat at the marketplace, but it looked nice.
We took taxis to downtown Disney and the Grand Californian a few times. Price was basically $10 and that included tip. Cabbies aren't allowed to take you to the park entrance......they are supposed to drop you at DD, at the taxi stand, which is at the entrance near RFC and ESPN Zone. That's Disney. We also walked down Convention Way and picked up the shuttles at the Toy Story lot. We didn't take ART......it was $20 for our family and for us, that was 2 taxi rides.
Not thrilled with the $24 parkiing fee. We paid $94 per night for each room. It was worth it for me to stay somewhere nice. I like the convenience of Harbor Blvd, but as iI am getting older, I liike the amenities of the Marriott!!!!
