Thoughts on the Adventure?

Could you elaborate on this? I hadn't heard of issues with those cruises.
They werent marketed properly until the final season so most Australians didnt know about them, didnt adjust the rules/prices around tipping to reflect the local markets deep aversion to tipping, lack of ports and choice of ports was frankly terrible (australia has amazing islands up north and they decided to have the cruises all sail south into cold and choppy waters with uninteresting stops like Eden), something went wrong with brisbane being cancelled when it should of been one of the main markets given its in the state that is Australias equivalent to Florida, forgetting that australians celebrate xmas just as much as Americans, not bringing anywhere enough disney food and merchandise on the earlier sailings.

Also, misunderstanding the market, especially the fact that most guests had never been to a Disney theme park, and therefore woefully underestimating the demand for the character meet and greets, theatre shows and, as noted, merchandise.

I do intend to sail on her one day, but I believe this was a Disney misstep. Buying a nearly completed ship and giving her a makeover does not feel like a Disney ship to me.

Ignoring the origin what exactly about it makes it not feel like a disney ship? By all reports it is the most disney themed ship of all.

They have bars, they just aren't adult exclusive
Bars is one thing. Was more talking about adult entertainment. Dcl is always light in this area but they have always had some things to do/see beside eating and drinking. Is this true on the adventure. Do they have musicians playing more adult music at night?

For me, it is the general look of the ship. I really don’t care for the funnel design. It feels like an afterthought to me. It looks much more like an average large cruise ship rather than classic Disney. It seems more like a theme park than a cruise ship.

Then again, I do have a habit of being overly judgemental.

But disney is more known as a theme park brand then a cruise brand so surely that would make it more disney and not less. It sounds like the complaint is not so much that its not disney but its not dcl. Atleast, not the dcl that one knows.
