Thoughts on Tennis Skort?

Just looking for opinions on tennis skorts(not skirts) at Disney. I've worn them around home in the summer and they are so comfortable and keep me cool in the heat. I was wondering if anyone else has worn them to Disney? Did you feel self conscious even though it has built in shorts etc. Also, I'm typically fairly conservative in my dress( no super low cut tops or very short shorts, lol!)
TIA!!!

The most important thing is that you're comfortable! I would definitely wear a skort, though I will admit I would still sit as though I were wearing a skirt. The only concern I would have is sitting on the curb during parades and getting on and off rides, but if you're wearing a skort, you won't be flashing anyone. Go for it!

I have a few different colored ones and these are what I wear most days at Disney. Mine are very comfy, stretchy, and quick drying fabric so they're great for all the rides.

I have seen some in the stores that look too short for me. Mine are a few inches shorter than I would normally wear a skirt (to the knee) but they are definitely not revealing.

If they are comfortable to you that's all that matters. The fashion police don't work Disney

I wore a skort there a few months ago and didn't give it a second thought until I saw this picture later on.

All of the rest of the pictures for that day were fine, but this one was a little questionable. If my DS didn't look so sweet eating my trail mix, I would have deleted it.

That said, I will probably still wear it again there. I'll just be more careful when sitting and being photographed!! :)

Just think, you are never going to see these people ever again. So if you are comfortable and cool it doesn't matter what others think. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all your replies!!! I guess comfort is the key! We went two years ago and the Bermudas I wore were even a little too warm at times and the thought to pack a tennis skort never acurred to me at that time. We will be going in early October, so I will definitely try it out on the warm days. I am one who usually ties a light sweater around my waist, so that might work to sit on for parades, etc. Also, thanks to Princess on the Run for posting the picture! I will try to be conscious of when the cameras out! Lol! Your son is a cutie!

I have two skorts, and wear them often in the summer. Love the tech fabric that stays cool and dry! They are a few inches longer (just above the knee), so no worries about bending or getting in/out of vehicles. The short has a 4" inseam so it's well out of sight.

I wear skorts all the time and yes I did wear them nearly every day in Disney last year. They are comfortable, quick drying and I like the way they look. Made me look a bit dressier than just shorts and as I said, they are very comfortable!

I've worn mine a lot at WDW. They are, however, shorter than most shorts that I own. I have worn mine for running-the true test of comfort. I wouldn't hesitate to wear mine again.

I think the fitness skorts are PERFECT! They hold up well with sweat and moisture and since walking around the parks feels like a workout, might as well dress the part!

We just got back Thursday and I noticed a lot of ladies in workout gear and didn't think twice. In fact, I wore my black workout capris on day 1 at MK and they were very easy to move in and breathable. I don't like the way my legs look, so I felt comfortable wearing them.

for online shopping I've had good results with Athleta and Title 9. They have good selections of both fitness and casual clothes, including swimwear.

I'm older but I prefer to wear skorts most of the time in the summer and of course to WDW. I bought some two years ago through JCPenney. I have also gotten some denim ones through Old Pueblo Traders. I had some Alfred Dunner brand that I had gotten years ago but they are showing wear. I found some permanent press ones made by Koret that I am saving for my trip next summer. I also found some at Kohl's this spring. Gloria Vanderbilt brand. I like their jeans, too. I wear women's sizes and they're one of the few brands that consistently fits me well and doesn't cost a fortune.

I like the Happy Girl Skirt by skirt sports. You can get it at www.skirtsports.com I also wear their slightly shorter version called the Gym Girl when I run. I have worn this version into the park and never once felt like I was flashing anyone.

i've worn skorts from both Kohls and Target - very comfy, airy, not heavy material
