Thoughts on Smokejumpers Grill?

It's fine. Decent burgers, toppings bar. It's just Taste Pilots Grill with a new name.

We really enjoyed it on our trip last month. The toppings bar for the burgers is awesome! DD got the chicken nuggets meal and there had to be 8-10 on there and the side of fries that came with it was big and thank goodness because DS ran to Carsland and got his favorite, the chicken chili verde cone. He came back and was dripping sweat. I asked him what was wrong, he said try the cone. I did and holy moly it was the hottest chili verde I have ever had, like ever. My throat was burning even and I enjoy very spicy food. Anyway, we really enjoyed Smokejumpers. My kids also had a shake and said it was really good; lots of whipped cream.

I love Smokejumpers. One of my favorite CS places. Their chicken burger is delicious, and I love their fries. The toppings bar is great too. I often tell myself to try something different and end up there anyway.

Never tried this before, but since they have GF buns available, we'll probably be trying this out soon.

It is going downhill. They are using crappy buns that get so soggy. They took out the roasted red peppers and the good, fresh dill pickles. They are now using crap quality jarred pickle slices that are mushy and processed tasting. The burger I had there last week was barely edible. Sad to see the quality slipping so quickly. We eat here almost every time we are in DCA because one of my kids only eats burgers and chicken tenders and this is the only DCA place we can get that. I guess I will stick with the chicken nuggets and onion rings, because that is the only decent thing left here.

What a bummer! Haven't eaten there in a couple years but I liked their burgers when we did.

We like Smoke Jumpers. There is inside seating which is a plus and we order the chicken nuggets with fries and/or the chicken nuggets with onion rings. It's a lot of food, so unless you are starving 2 people could easily share. We don't order the sandwich/burgers so I cannot comment on those.

In general seems like a good option, although Im worried about the fact that the quality isn't the same as it used to be!

We always eat there at least once a trip. The toppings bar is great and the kids like the chicken tenders.

We just ate there at the end of Sept and I didn't notice any difference from previous times. They had a Halloween burger topping with sauteed mushrooms, onions and swiss cheese that was really good.

We've ate there once. Topping bar with ranch dressing = making a salad! :thumbsup2 We thought it was good - onion rings were a little soggy but we still ate it up.

It was good and I really enjoyed the toppings bar. My one complaint was that it was so slow. I might have just gone at the wrong time, but the big reason that made me choose there was that the lines didn't look too bad. But it took a while to get up to the register, then the people making the food took a while, so there were a bunch of people crammed in the space between the cashier and pick-up window.

I would absolutely eat there again, I would probably just make sure to go when it was a bit less busy.

We really like it!! They have great burgers, fries, onion rings and they have a toppings bar. The portions are pretty large too. We ate here twice on our last trip.

It does get pretty busy at peak meal times.

When it was Taste Pilot they had the Wild Blue Yonder which was a bacon cheese burger with Blue Cheese. I now order the cheese burger and bring my own Blue Cheese and add BBQ sauce from the toppings bar. Great.

We ended up eating there twice last week and quite liked it. Loved the chili cheese fries and the onion rings. The chicken fingers were also tasty.
