I saw it's open today and was wondering if there have been any changes that anyone's noticed, or is it just a new paint job?

We're going to be in the parks tomorrow, so I'm anxious to see what has changed, though I'm not sure we'll ride as we're only in the parks one day.

Since we've heard nary a peep regarding any changes on the parks blog i assume it's more or less the same as before.

I'm also looking forward to the day this attraction goes Green. It's too loud and stinky! Regardless of what mom and dad think, the kid still wants to drive a car on her own next time. :drive:

As much as I like it, it does take up a lot of valuable park space, almost enough to be a land itself. Going electric would probably not be feasible given range and recharge time unless it was on an electric rail. I assume the changes are just about sponsorship, not improvement, and paid by sponsor. They are probably itching to pave over it to make way for zootopia land, rather than improve it at this point.

Hmmmm.... and they're all branded by Honda now. I wonder if they did away with the ugly brown cars?!

Oh! I just bought a brand new Honda a couple of weeks ago, maybe they have Autopia cars in Cosmic Blue Metallic like mine? That would be neat.

I haven't ridden Autopia in at least a few years. Last time, they were very fumy and also much harder to drive, even to get started.

I agree that back area with Autopia and the subs too could be an interesting new Land. I'm not sure what could or should be changed about he subs just that to me (on my last ride on them) they didn't do much for me. A cute ride, that could include the cars and be a spin off of Storybookland Canal boats would be for the cars to go past Disney characters about town. Mickey and friends at the park, Pinocchio on his way to school, someone at the post office, just every day town type scenes that folks would drive past. As I type this, I am realizing this type of idea would work better as a boat or People Mover (must make a comeback) type ride where each car would not stop to take a picture and thus hold up traffic! I read about a (non Disney) type similar ride in a kids book growing up and always though it sounded neat :)

Well I'm disappointed. I really hoped for an all electric vehicle for a futuristic experience.
Hopefully if they re-powered them with Honda engines they will at least produce a bit less fumes.
