So---after about a million drafts of our rough rough rough itinerary---if all goes as planned in terms of park hours, etc. the following is what we will be eating. I'm sure all of my fellow DISers can give me opinions about what to keep/what to switch or little reviews of most restaurants because we're trying to eat at all new spots this year:

Day 1 - Eating Around the World in Epcot
Day 2 - Crystal Palace (first ADR for breakfast), no lunch, Kona Cafe (dinner)
Day 3 - Sci-Fi Dine In Theater (for lunch), Giordano's Pizza (for dinner, mmmmmm)
Day 4 - Yak & Yeti (for lunch), Beaches and Cream (for dinner, although the goal is to skip the burgers and tackle the Kitchen Sink :thumbsup2 )
Day 5 - Le Cellier (lunch), Jiko (late dinner, 8:00 or so)
Day 6 - All CS meals

Thoughts? The only places we have been are Sci-Fi and Crystal Palace (but for dinner and so long ago that I don't even remember it).

Sounds like a good variety. Just a few comments ... We tried eating around the world a few years ago. We made it half way around and we were so stuffed we were uncomfortable! Although my family didn't seem to understand the concept of getting one thing and sharing! ;)

Also as an FYI ... Beaches and Cream doesn't take ADRs. If you're going at a "normal" dinner time, you might have trouble getting in. I've read on the boards that if you go at off times, you'll have a better chance. Without realizing any of this, we tried going to BC a few years ago at night to try the kitchen sink. It was a 2-hour wait -- which we weren't willing to do.

Enjoy!

We've never tried eating around the world...but it sounds like a challenge to me. Love the Crystal Palace for breakfast, LeCellier is our favorite and we loved Yak & Yeti when we went for the first time in September. We've not done Kona Kafe or Beaches and Cream or Jiko (we've never done a signature restaurant). We did Sci-Fi years ago (probably like 7 or 8) and will be doing it this year after readingi lots of great reviews lately.

They sound great to me.

I hope we even get lunch! Like I said, these are just the ADRs I have planned to ask for when our 90 days come (which won't be until Summer). I'm sure if I call at 7:00 I won't have any problems---but ya never know! :thumbsup2

As far as eating around the world....we'll be eating AND drinking (gotta try all of those adult beverages too, right?!) We are going to space it out over the course of 8 hours...basically a whole day of our trip dedicated to the World Showcase and with the exception of a few desserts that I know DH will want for himself, I'm pretty confident we can do it...even if I do have to deal with stomach pains for a day or two :lmao:

For Beaches and Cream, I was aware that they don't take ADRs which worried me, but right now...the way things are planned, we wouldn't be going over to get the Kitchen Sink until 8:30pm or so and even then, we'd be willing to wait 30 minutes give or take to get a table. If there are no tables available, we'll just have to skip the sink this time and go with a normal icecream at the take-out window. :goodvibes

Glad to hear you liked Yak & Yeti. I have read some bad reviews about it tasting like "mall chinese food" (which I actually happen to not mind at all :rotfl:) but it still worried me. I'm really looking forward to the wonton dessert the most---it looks great.

Sci-Fi is a MUST for our trips. On our last trip (DH's first time ever visiting The World) we went during free dining in 07 without ADRs  Needless to say, we could get a spot at Sci-Fi but it was a 2 hour wait and it would be a 3:00 lunch. Everyone in the group said no, and we didn't get to eat there. I am really looking forward to a burger and shake there this trip.

I had a great breakfast last year at Crystal Palace and love Kona Cafe so your day #2 sounds perfect. Le Cellier is really good and I did the culinary tour at AKL last year for Jiko and everything looked delicious.

You have some great choices.:)
