I have to say (temporary as it was) that I actually didn’t mind and (forgive me) found it refreshing to have no FP stuff (with the exception of people having FP’s for guest recovery or other certain special situations) going on. We got everything we wanted to do, and while a few of the standby lines were longer on the most popular rides, it wasn’t awful. With no FP, the lines move along steadily unlike the snails pace of standby lines while all the FP people go through. It’s all switching to the new system, but I have to say I actually (and surprisingly, even to myself) enjoyed the chance to ride “old school” style. Ah well, will learn to live with the new stuff.

I dont think it will bother us, the grandkids maybe, we only do a couple rides a day anymore, more time enjoying family time and margaritas!

When Disney was limiting park capacity due to covid, not having FastPass was less of an issue. When parks return to full capacity, the same issue they had previously with too many people in the park at the same time makes for very long ride wait times. That new system they just announced still has some additional features to be fully released. How much extra and which rides are/aren't included are pieces that still are missing.

This past July without FP we managed to ride more attractions then we ever did with FP. However, this was also about 40% park capacity and we got to ride RoR by sheer luck at getting of the 1pm available slots.

At full capacity I am sure without any FP it would change how people would handle trips there and rides. I bet queues would work their way out as people chose which rides are worth waiting hours for and which ones are not. We do not plan on spending the cash on G+ at this time, and if we do we will be cutting back on something else to offset the cost. At 60 a day for our family it adds up fast.

This was our experience as well. I initially dreaded it, but eventually found it quite pleasant. Admittedly, our waits were lower than had been seen in recent weeks, but the consistent move and the lack of crisscrossing parks to hit FP times in the midst of the summer heat was very refreshing. It was a much less harried visit to WDW than we've often known.
