i am wondering what the experience is when using the fp for wishes in the new viewing areas. They look nice to me but I wonder how comfortable this area remains when it is set up at night for fp. Is Disney packing this area or limiting it a bit for more comfortable atmosphere?
I would love to have the team test this out. Perhaps when all the dust settles from the California trip someone could check it out?

I'm definitely not a podcast member, but I did have the chance to FP+ Wishes on my trip two weeks ago. We came about 5 minutes early to the viewing area and we were some of the first people in. Me, along with 3 family members, had room to lay on the turf without feeling like we were taking space from anyone. It's a very neat place to watch Wishes, if you're sitting down on the turf, you get a terrible view of Celebrate the Magic, but if you just want a great place to relax and watch fireworks then I would highly recommend this FP+ experience.

Thanks for the input! I was worried that disney was going to pack people in here.

It was pretty packed when we did it last week but we were on the right side of Main Street facing the Castle and I wondered if the opposite side would have been less crowded. Had a cast member stress to me, when I asked where the entrance was earlier in the day, that there were two sides so I imagine one side may fill up more. We ended up on that side just because of the crowds on the street...there was no way we could have gotten over there without risking life and limb! It was not nearly as crowded though in the fp area as anytime I've stood on the street. We still had room to move, weren't elbow to elbow and could find a place to sit while we waited for it to start. Felt bad for the crowd standing in front of the Ice Cream Shop though as they probably thought they had a great view of the Castle show until we all stood up.

I wouldn't hesitate to FP it again but I think I'd try it from in front of Casey's though. That takes a bit of planning starting from where you are and what you're doing in the back of the park because the Electiric Light Parade cut us off.

I absolutely did not like it. Got there 15min before celebrate the magic, and even as a solo could barely find a place to sit on the grass. Horrible view of celebrate the magic, and everyone stood. It was very cramped and the light posts were in the way of the view. I won't be doing it again. Just my thoughts personally. I loved the rose garden's space.
