I would like to apologize as I see I've ruffled some feathers out there...that was really not my intention. Honest.
I guess I was just speaking more of my experience. If I had stayed in CA, there was no way I could be a SAHM. We would have had to buy something larger & it would not have been possible for US to enjoy life with such a huge mortgage. That's all I heard about from my co-workers (at Northrop Grumman Corp) was how their mortgage payments were so high, they couldn't afford to do anything fun & both spouses have to work. It's sad to live your life for your mortgage. Being that I know NY & NJ are just as expensive as CA, I just "generalized" that it's just easier to live elsewhere to have more time with your kid & have more experiences with them. Just my opinion.
