We have been making a trip to WDW in late September for the past 3 years. Next year we are thinking of doing the Halloween party. For those who have done this event do you think it's worth the money. What kinds of "extra's" are there for you, is it crowded?, are the lines long for the rides? It looked like a lot of fun and I love all the decorations.

We were just there on Oct. 27th. It was a highlight of our trip. We didn't do everything, because there just isn't time. I loved the parade, special fireworks and reuced crowd. If you can, go for it!!

I have done it, and while I enjoyed the parade and the fireworks, I won't do it again. For starters it was way packed. It was busier for the party then it was during the day at MK. There was not enough time to do it all, not even close. The HM hearse pics were a 45 min wait, as was the Cinderellas coach pics. The line was SO long for Snow White and the Dwarves that we skipped it entirely ,but I heard people complaining they were waiting and waiting. The trick or treat lines were so so...mostly filler candy like Smartees .I am glad I did it, but for me it is not worth the cost VS what you get

We went again this year and while it was fun I'm not sure we'll do it again next year. For the amount of money we paid I'm not sure it was worth it. There were no pins, bags or tshirts to be had really. While the parade was great the pushy shoving people weren't that much fun. And forget the candy, we're talking Palmers for the most part.

We had never been to any of the parties. We were there on Oct 22 and had a FABULOUS time! Of course my kids are older and we got through the candy lines quickly. A co worker of mine went last year and complained about the lines. I loved seeing everyone in costumes, the parade was great and the lines for the rides were about 5-10 minutes. We walked on to most everything.
We would do it again...it was great fun talking to people and seeing all the kids in costumes.

We were there on Oct 6th and besides the unexpected heatwave we loved it.
Our goal was rides, parades, fireworks and it was awesome. There was no wait for any rides. We got to meet a lot of characters that had a zero wait. (we did not try the photopass ops or the snow white so I am sure that played into it) my brother met the Evil Queen with little wait after the villain mix n mingle. We waited until the very end of the night to trick or treat and CMs were stuffing fistfulls of candy into the kids bags. (there was little chocolate but it was so hot it was a good thing!) We really had a good time. My parent said they would probably skip it next time but my children already asking if we can go back next year!

We attended the party on September 18th. It was a little early for Halloween, but a huge pro was that there was almost no one there! We were able to many things, but there was so much to do that we weren't able to get to everything. We were able to walk right up and watch the fireworks from the hub (AND I probably could have done a cartwheel in the middle of the show without hitting anyone) and get a prime spot in front of the castle about 15 minutes before the parade. The candy was just ok, but that's not why we were there.

I would definately recommend this party if you have the time and money for it!

It's something any Disney World fan needs to do once. Same goes for the Christmas Party.

Halloween is SO much fun! I went twice this year! It's possibly one of my favorite things to do. There are characters out you can only get at the parties, some of which are ONLY out at Halloween. Pretty much the only way to get Tarzan, Jane, Cruella, and Frollo outside of a miracle happening. Uncommon characters like Jafar, Queen of Hearts, Snow Queen, Abu are easy to get. A fantastic picture opportunity to get Snow White and all 7 dwarfs together that only comes at Halloween thought you will need to wait for that one a long time if you want it.

Trick or Treating all night long. TONS of candy and it's actually pretty good stuff. If you go down the trails in the last hour or so, they will give you like giant handfuls of stuff cus they are trying to get rid of it.

The "Boo to You" parade is one of my favorite parades. Only parade with Captain Jack in it as well as section based on the Haunted Mansion with the hitchhiking ghosts, grave diggers, waltzers, and the tune it super catchy. And the headless horsemen rides before the parades (weather permitting).

I don't bother myself with rides at the parties, but none of the lines seemed long. Only things I did were Magic Carpets which had no line at all and Haunted Mansion twice. Both times we walked right into the first room. ESPECIALLY after the second parade, the park was like a ghost town. We went to the last Villains Mix and Mingle and they were SO few people, some of the villains actually just came out and walked around in front of the castle. My friends and I hung out with Frollo for like 10 minutes. We had a blast.

Loved, loved, loved it! Went 9/29 and planning on going again. Never waited for a ride. We were able to sit right in front of the castle for the fireworks without getting ran over! Great costumes! Not enough time to do everything!

We love it. The lines to rides were not as long as going to MK during the day! The candy was awesome. We got Ghiradelli chocolates and lots of trick-or-treating candy! I think they do free face painting. Yes, they do bring out characters they normally don't have and lines can get long, but that is where you plan ahead and if you really want a pic with someone you go there first! We think it is well worth the money and do it every year!:)

Hi
We were there on Oct. 25th and it was one of the most fun things I've done at Disney. The rides were walk on and the parade was really great. My DD, DGD (6) and I were walking along the path from Toontown to Space Mt. and there were 3 cast members at one of the candy stations. One of them said to my DGD, "we've been waiting for a child to come along, so we can give her this whole bag of candy. And it's all chocolate. We couldn't believe it. I'll never forget the surprise on my DGD's face!! The bag had to weight about 5 or 6 pounds. The CM's looked so happy to give it to her. We also loved all the decorations. Also, my DGD had a great time dancing with Donald and Daisy at the dance party. I think you should go. You'll have a great time!! We want to go back next year.

We were there on Oct 6th and it was extremely HOT! I think had it not been so humid we would have enjoyed it more. We saw the fireworks, second parade and did some trick or treating. My boys danced in one of the parties with characters and enjoyed it as well. Yes there were a lot of rare characters out but long lines for most, and in my opinion much more crowed than anticipated for the money we spent. Lines were longer for some rides than they were during the day with the rest of the crowds. Didn't feel like we got our money's worth. Would probably skip again but would love to try MVMCP one year to compare.

we were also there on Oct 6...it was unbearably hot and humid. Still, we enjoyed it and would do it again...like NEXT year. The parades are awesome and the lines for the HM hearse pics were non-existent when we were there.
