Thoughts on June weather?

Hi! We are looking to plan our next trip (2024 or 2025) and for various reasons, we think that this trip needs to be when the kids are not in school. Of all the times that we could go, it feels like going in June right when school ends would work best for us. I know that it is going to be super hot, and probably rain at some point every day. I went in both August and September last year and August was way worse. It rained a little on both trips but didn't "ruin" anything. We actually had worse rain this April.

I am looking at the weather now in WDW and almost every day storms are in the forecast. Is that just the way it looks? Does it actually rain that much every day? Would anyone actually recommend July or August over June?

TIA!

It's actually not been raining a lot this June but year to year, day to day it varies. For my pick of the summer months, I prefer June over the other months just because you're not as deep into the season of tropical disturbances. All of them are hot but Aug is on average the hottest/most humid but it's not noticeable to us. We live in the south so it's all the same and to be honest, it's usually a few degrees cooler in Orlando than where we're from so it's a moot point for us.

The summer T-storms are scattered and it's rare that there are complete washouts anytime over the summer but it does on occasion happen. I'd say June is usually safer from the standard PM T-storms but it does vary. Right now, it's been so dry the boats from PO resort aren't running to DS since the "river" is too low. So they need some rain.

But, all that to say, it's not a major difference, the average highs for June-Aug are 90/91 and the lows are 75, so it's not like one month is more enjoyable than another. We usually will go right when kids get out, which is sometimes before Memorial Day or right after or we do first week of August. We usually avoid July since we usually have other travel planned that month. For us, we go when kids have no school too so it is what it is. I'd rather sweat at WDW than just sweat at home :)

We go every July and don't ever have any issues. We tolerate the heat and I definitely don't think it's as bad as it's made only to be on this forum. Drink fluids, take your time, plan for an afternoon thundershower and you'll be fine.

I just got back.

I would say it did rain every day, for sure it rained every night. Temps were mid 90s.

We got lucky to be mostly inside when the rains came. Our safari was in the rain. Some were light showers we just "ran" through". We never put on our ponchos but saw plenty who did.

Friday night we got hit in MK with a bad storm, first time I was a bit scared in the park. At a lull we decided to leave which meant "swimming" through 8" pond in Fantasyland.

Summer means hurricane weather; the heat combined with humidity = rain almost daily. Sometimes it cools things off and sometimes it turns into a sauna due to the heat. It's always a gamble June through September regarding heat, rain and humidity. :confused3 Best option EARLY June but even last week was HOT!
