I have always liked Crystal Palace for dinner. The food has always been just unique enough and varied enough that everyone in our family has found something to eat. Plus the food has always been pretty good in the past.

Unfortunately, some of the reviews (even by those who love CP) have been quite negative. For those of you who have been there lately, should I keep this ADR or switch to 1900 Park Fare for dinner? We love the stepsisters, and the food has been okay in the past.

TIA for your help.

CP breakfast has always been a huge hit, great food, love getting into the park early. The last time we had dinner there was the LAST time we will have dinner there...the flavor of all the food was heavy salt and the noise level was insane

1900 PF...well we went for breakfast and dinner and you will never see us set foot at either again. You leave still hungry because the food is so bad and you get a nice big headache when you leave

We love the Crystal Palace. We love going for dinner, if you can get a ressie, during Wishes, it's the best.:goodvibes

The food was okay at both places, but we liked the character interaction more at 1900 PF.

Thanks so much for your help. I am becoming quite torn about what to do- we have eaten at Crystal Palace every time we have visited since 2003 (about 20 times). Even though it is hectic, we have always had a good time, and their vegetable/ salad selections have been among my favorites. I just have been reading more negatives than in the past about the majority of the character meals. I am worried. And I love character meals!!

Keep the feedback and comments coming. We have really, really enjoyed these character meals in the past and don't want to be horribly disappointed this time.

FYI- We are eating at several 2TS restaurants to meet our "foodie" needs- Citricos, Yachtsman, California Grill, Narcoossee's, and Jiko's. We are also trying The Wave and Tutto Italia for the first time and going back to one of our favorite buffets, Tusker House, for lunch. We have scheduled O'Hana's for breakfast.

Crystal Palace has always been my DH favorite of all the Character Buffets. B-L-D. Mine has always been 1900 Park Fare Dinner, yet on my last visit in March I though the food had gone down hill a little. Maybe it was just me and I will try it again before I make a judgement on the food. I will say the Step Mother and Sisters are awesome, probably one of the best interaction of all the Character Meals I've been to. Love them, and I will return just to see them.

Were doing Crystal Palace this trip. DH choice this time.

I love both for breakfast but would pick CP because I'm a Pooh and Friends lover.

We have done CP for dinner and although it isn't my favorite....it was good! We have done 1900 both breakfast and dinner and we really enjoyed both! I have found different people have different standards...if you enjoy it go for it!! :thumbsup2

We have done CP for Breafast and dinner and will never do dinner again. My husband is diabetic and had asked in advance for a sugar free dessert. They brought him a still frozen cheescake. The rest of the food was cold and nasty. BUT breakfast is another storey. Great food and wonderful interaction. We also love 1900 Park Fare for BF..dinner wasnt as good but we loved the character interaction which made it worth it. And these times were without kids!!! This Oct we are going with 11 of us and doing bot dinner and breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Had CP but when I tried to add on another child they didnt have room so I had to change it to Ohanas ..hope it will be as good.

Despite the not-so-great reviews of 1900 PF's dinner, we went this past June and it was one of our fav. meals. The food was excellent (very fresh tasting, a variety of options that were diff. than other buffets, the food was hot, and it all tasted DELICIOUS). The character interaction was wonderful too. I am so glad we disregarded the other reviews and tried it ourselves. Sometimes it pays to ignore what others say and go w/ where you want to go. So if you've tried CP before and love it, don't worry about what others think--go for it. Also, it sounds like it's a tradition to go there for you, so you might not want to skip it just for that reason. However, if you choose to go w/ 1900 PF, I think you'll be making a great choice. I've eaten at both for dinner. We preferrred 1900 PF over CP for dinner by far. We thought both the food and the character interaction was better at 1900 PF (the characters at 1900 PF were HILARIOUS, spent quality time w/ us, but we didn't have to wait for each of the characters there near as long as we had to at CP). You could make a switch to see which you like best. You may find you have found a new place to return to over and over. Good luck deciding!
