thoughts on breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table on Xmas Day

Do you think it is a good idea if we try to get reservations for breakfast at CRT on Christmas Day or should we shoot for another day? We're planning at least 2 days at MK over an 8 day trip over Xmas break and we'll have park hoppers. We'll have 4 grandparents, mom, dad, and 3 DD's ages 5, 4, 2.

It depends on your family ritual for XMas. We were there for Xmas when we had a 2 y.o. and 3 month old and we opened gifts in the morning then went to the parks. That being said, I think it would be a pretty special way to start the day. Enjoy!

We spent this past Christmas Day at the MK. If this year is the same they will have EMH everyday of the week so the park opens at 7am. We got there for RD and had great crowd levels until around 11am. I would recommend going for RD and maybe having a brunch around 10 or 11. You could really get some good touring in before you eat. We picked up muffins and coffee at the resort and ate them on the monorail and hit the ground for RD. We claimed a parade spot around 11 right in front the saloon restaurant in Frontierland and got CS from the restaurant and ate off our trays like a picnic and watched Princess and the Frog until just before the parade. That worked great....we had great parade watching spot and that location is next to the "adventureland tunnel" that has bathrooms. That was perfect with DD6 and DD8. What a great Christmas morning, we rode all our favorite rides without waiting, saw the castle forecourt show, had a picnic lunch and saw the parade and got the heck out of there. The crowd was completely crazy after the parade!!! We had originally planned for Bfast in the castle but realized that would take a big chunk of park time with only a few hours that are manageable before the crowd is unbearable. Thats when we opted for the CS lunch and parade instead. It worked great for us, the only thing is this year on Christmas morning I suspect I will hear a constant "remember last Christmas morning we........" I can't tell you how fun and cool it was to be in the MK for Christmas morning. My final advice is go early and leave after the parade and plan other nonpark activities (even opening presents) for the afternoon!!

We did breakfast in the castle a few years ago and my daughter was 4 and my son was 8 it was fabulous. My husband, who is rarely impressed thought it was fantastic. Even my son thought it was "pretty cool".

I think it would be a truely magical way to start Christmas morning. I don't think you would be disappointed.

My advice is if that is what you want go for it.Make sure that you are at the park for rope drop and don't plan on leaving till after you dine.MK closes for capacity on Christmas, and usually by midmorning.Having a prepaid adr will NOT get you into a closed park, and you can lose your money.

We had breakfast there this past Christmas and it was great. We've done it a couple other times previous to that. I think it is just fantastic. Just the thought of having your Christmas breakfast in that castle is pretty special.

Having said that, you should know that they don't do anything differently from any other day there. It's the same experience as you would get any other time. One small exception, the princesses wore holly in their hair this past year. It was pretty cute.

If you're sold on a CRT meal on Christmas Day, I would select breakfast (as you already have) unless you want to spend all day in the park. If it should reach capacity and close, you will not be allowed in even if you have an ADR - including a prepaid ADR at Cinderella's, so getting there early is probably key.

I was just going to say the same thing. We were in MK on New Year's Eve last year and I believe it closed for capacity at 10:00 AM and the waits for the monorail and buses in from the parking lots were huge. So if you want to do breakfast, make sure you're there EARLY!

This is the capacity closure procedure:

Stage 1: Parking lot closed. Only access to the park is via Disney Transportation.
Stage 2: All ticket windows and automated ticket vendors closed. Only ticketed guests are admitted.
Stage 3: Only annual passholders and Disney resort guests are admitted.
Stage 4: No one is admitted.

If the park is closed to you, you won't be admitted for your ADR.

I think CRT on Christmas would be wonderful. We were there last Thanksgiving and had our dinner in the castle it made for a truly magical holiday and one I don't think the kids will ever forget. I would do a meal here on Christmas in a heartbeat and breakfast is probably your best bet with park closings and the crowds.
