My fam and I are going Nov 27th to Dec 5 this year (OMG am I EXCITED!:yay:) and hoping some of you can give me some insight into the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the Pirates League. My DD will be 7 and DS will be 5. On the details of these two things on the Disney website it states it takes between 30 and 60 min. Is that accurate? I saw a post that one mom posted that it took over 3 hours!! I don't really want to spend that much time in a boutique when we could be enjoying more WDW! And the Pirates league looks really cute and also states that it is 30-60 min. Is that accurate? Any insight you have would be great! I would love to see photos too if you have some!

We visited both those during our trip last Oct. *DD's also visited the BBB in DLR* ~ DS did not get the BBB treatment ;) They both got the pirate treatment ~ and DD who is very much a girly girl preferred PL! BBB was quick, she showed up in her dress so no choosing/changing there ~ she went as Tink *it was the night of our MNSSHP. DD's experience at PL was a bit shorter than DS's ~ he chose the dead/skeleton look ~ and sweated it off the minute he stepped outside!

We were there last week with our DS5 & I would say the time for the League was spot on. His session lasted about 30 minutes in the chair & what seem to take the longest was waiting for the photo session & to get the remaining treasure... But my son had a great time & we rode Pirates of the Carribean right away... so much fun... pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:

I'll try to post photos later... The photopass one we got was awesome...

We've done that twice, both at the DTD location. 30 minutes is pretty accurate once you get into a chair if you are only doing hair/makeup/nails. They were running 15 minutes late the first time, and on time the 2nd. We didn't buy the costumes, we just did hair/makeup/nails. DD's LOVED it! Be warned though, if your DD picks the Cindy do, she will have a ton of gel in her hair, and it will feel crunchy and hard. It will withstand running through the parks though! One of my DD's refused to put her head in the pool or get it wet for 4 days. We let her since its a once in a lifetime type thing when they are 6 and totally in awe of looking like a princess. We took out the tiara part, but left the bun in. It actually looked pretty good, even on day 4, although the hair was soft by then and we had to slick down some fly aways. The ones doing the full package were taking quite a bit longer.

We did the BBB several times, most recently in November, and are doing the Pirate League in about 2 weeks--my sig has an article about the BBB, and I am looking forward to seeing how they compare :)

We did BBB at the castle before park opening and it was just about 30 min (hair/makeup/nails). We did before park opening as I didn't want to have to wait as I had read on the DisBoards that it does get backed up later in the day. It was absolutely wonderful to be in Fantasyland at ropedrop and dd was treated like royalty w/that princess hairdo! It was totally worth it and we would do it again -- I also think that rock-solid princess 'do would last a good 3 days!!

This trip we are trying the Pirate League --- and I just found out the price went down to just under $32 (no photo included anymore) and the kids are excited too (boys want to be boney pirates!). DD tells me "sometimes you have to try new things"...so we will save BBB for another trip and she is anxious for a pirate makeover too!

We did the hair/makeup/nails at the castle BBB when my DD was 4. It took an hour and a half. They were running way behind schedule. We didn't buy the dress b/c they are so expensive and I thought that it would be itchy in the heat. My DD never once asked for an outfit and waited so patiently--I wished I had bought the whole package because she was so good. She loved every second of her makeover and I am so glad we had the experience.
