Thoughts on 1900 Park Fair Breakfast

I am thinking about 1900 Park Fair for breakfast on our last morning just before we head home. It will be me, DH, DD(17), & DS(15). They still get a kick out of an occassional character meal. I thought this would be different. This is one character meal that we haven't done before. It will OOP. We are going to be on the dining plan but earlier in our trip. We are doing WDW first then moving over to US. I thought we could stop by GF on our way out of town. Any thoughts?

im in the same boat as you. we havent done the 1900 breakfast yet either, and we're also paying OOP as our dining plan doesnt kick in until the day after. We've done the dinner at 1900 and it was a fun experience...although i wasnt crazy about the food. I heard many good things about the breakfast thou, so im excited. Lets hope someone chimes in soon!

1900 Park Fare just might be my favorite of the character breakfasts. The eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc. are pretty standard next to the other character breakfasts, but it does have a couple of gems that the others don't have.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the character interaction last time (we tend to like the interaction with face characters better in general). Mary Poppins had my girlfriend and I laughing (she was auditioning for us to hire her for when we have kids), Alice and the Mad Hatter were a lot of fun as well, giving those of us who were there at the end of breakfast a real treat and Pooh and Tigger were better here than what we have had with them at CP.

I have been to 1900 for breakfast though it was in '07. The food was a standard breakfast buffet I don't remember it being overly amazing, but things could have changed. I loved the characters. At the time it was Alice, the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Pooh and Tigger. Honestly I was there more for the characters (mostly Alice and the Mad Hatter) than the food. It was fun and next time I want to take my DH and our DD. Hope you enjoy.

We always have breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and this year is no exception. My kids enjoy the food and there is enough of it for my teenage son. Actually, DS and DD still enjoy the characters. We have never paid OOP, but if I had to, I would. There are many choices there for everyone. I love the freshed cooked eggs. DH loves the cook to order omelets.

The lines for food move fast. Service for drinks is okay. I guess it depends on who your server is. Enjoy!!!

We're going to have a breakfast there for the first time in september and I am really looking forward to it. I liked the rather random variety of characters at the breakfast. It's a little bit of everyone really, isn't it?! No help to the OP, but I will be happy to post my findings on our return.

It remains our favorite breakfast after many many years! We tends to allow each family member to pick one TS, and this is always my husband and sons pick. We find the food good, snd the character interaction great!

We went on our last trip and we didn't think it was anything to write home about. There were a few extras on the buffet likean omelet station, but the service was slow, and the characters even slower. We were there about an hour and saw Tigger & Pooh, it's like I've gotten pics with these guys a few times already. I wanted Alice, Mad Hatter, and Mary. We paid and asked our server if we could get a quick pic with Mary since she hasn't come by our section yet and finally got one. Alice and Mad were nowhere to be seen. To us it was very chaotic and not worth going back to. It might have just been a busy morning or someone didn't come in to work that day. That was just our experience and maybe not a typical day, give it a try once and you'll know in the future if it's somewhere you might want to go. Like I said the food wasn't bad it just wasn't anything special.

I am very interested in doing this when we go for our family vacation in December because we love Mary Poppins. My husband and I are not big breakfast eaters, is it possible to pay for the kids' breakfasts and enjoy the interactions without eating?

We had breakfast there on our trip a couple weeks ago. Had done dinner the trip before & were really looking forward to breakfast, especially the characters. The food is good. It's a standard breakfast buffet but there are a few special items. They'll do eggs for you but the line was too long for us. Food lines move quickly although dining area is quite crowded. I was a little disappointed in the character interaction. Our ADR's were right at opening so the restaurant was packed. The characters came thru rather quickly, signed, posed & were off. Very little to no interaction with the kids. They didn't seem to mind though. Worst part---no Mad Hatter!!! That's who I really wanted to see as I had heard so much about his antics. We had Belle instead. That was fine for DD except we had already had dinner with her earlier in the week. I would still recommend 1900 Park Fare & would do it again.

It is random in the way that Mary Poppins has nothing to do with the other characters, Alice and the Mad Hatter have nothing to do with the other characters and Pooh and Tigger have nothing to do with the other characters. The one thing that ties them all together is that all of their stories take place in England. We have dubbed it "Breakfast with England's Finest".

it's just me and my fiance.... we like characters, but we're more into the food. 1900 is his favorite breakfast buffet! we both love it. (i tend to favor boma a little--but this is a close 2nd!)

1900 is one of our favorite places to go to for breakfast. We enjoy the omelette station

Since DH is not a big Disney fan(gasp), the food is the selling point for him. He would love the omelet station.

We enjoyed breakfast there very much, good food but not the best (standard buffet), it didnt seem as noisy as CM or CP, fun characters.
On the past trip it was 3 adults - 48, 50, 70, and we all enjoyed it, its fun to talk to the face characters, they were so "on stage" while talking to us.
The characters (Alice, Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger) came around 2 times while we were dining, plenty of time for pictures, autographs and conversation.

My DW and I were there for our 11th anniversary. When the Mad Hatter asked how long we told him 11 years. He said, well it's not a short or a long amount of time, I guess it would be...

and I said "lort"?

Then he started turning red and said yes, that was much better than what was coming to me. Then I started busting out laughing as I realized he almost said "shlong"! Then he moved on to the next table.

Definitely a good place to eat with characters that can actually talk to you.

Between Crystal Palace, Cape May, and 1900, we (wife and I) thought 1900 had the best food (followed very closely by CP, both are similar), and the character interaction was FANTASTIC. Both Mad Hatter and Alice treated us special as two alone adults, and maybe they would do the same with your older kids. Alice had everyone in the 6 or 7 tables around us ROLLING with laughter. Just really spot on.

When they first rolled out the current lineup the meal was titled "Storybook" something or other (they've since changed it supercalifrag...). So that made sense - since all of the characters are from classic english/UK stories.
