Oh, Becka. I'm so sorry. What an awful feeling. I'm not sure what I would do or what you can do at this point. Can you force someone into a hospital for something like this? Do you think she would hurt her children??

Unfortunately in the past she has told me she was afraid she would hurt her kids and that has sent her running away other times. She loves her boys and I know this must just be tearing her apart but I think she just lives in denial because it scares her and while there are times I think her DH understands how serious it is other times (like today) I just don't think he gets it. She just really will not be honest with her doctors because she is afraid to tell them the truth. I think she feels that they may try to take away her kids. I have assured her that they will just try to help her so that her kids can be safe. She tells me how her older son is afraid of her because of her outbursts. I just don't know what to do. I am not family, I don't live very close by. I try to always be available if she needs to talk but I feel like I can't do a whole lot here.
