Thoughts about new CDC guidelines and how it might affect your Disney vacation.

I have rarely used them before since we have kids and have never gone without them but I assumed most of the rides had a single rider option. The only one I ever took advantage of before was RnR because my daughter was the only one that wanted to ride when I did and she did not care about riding with someone else.
The only 4 are Test Track, RNRC, Everest and Millennium Falcon.

I had Covid in March.

I will be happy to get vaccinated when someone can prove to me that your vaccine antibodies are better than my naturally acquired antibodies. 🤷‍♀️

I will be one of those scary unvaccinated people waking around without a mask when the mandate is dropped.

But it has been proven. Time and time again. Anti-vaxxers like you know the truth but refuse to publicly acknowledge it and would rather spend your time asking for proof over and over in an attempt to feel like you are winning some petty argument. It doesn't matter if you were shown to proof with slides, neon signs, and Levar Burton dumbing it down like an episode of Reading Rainbow. You like being on the opposite side of arguments and you wrap yourself in that like a warm blanket. If you have seen the science and still act like it is fake then there is nothing that anyone here will ever be able to do to make you act right.

This statement is cognitive dissonance.

we have peer reviewed studies of sars cov 2, as well as other SARS, as well as the 1918 flu, that show that immunity is long lasting (for most it lasts a lifetime).

vaccines provide immunity, but these sometimes wane, which is why titer tests and boosters are necessary. (And the cutter incident as well as the last swine flu vaccine- both scientifically recorded to cause injury, rightfully give some people pause to wait and see how this plays out. )

it’s the beautiful thing about medical choice.
If you’d like to have a 90-95% of avoiding sars cov 2, you can get the vaccine.

If you don’t (because of natural immunity or religious preference) then you also don’t have to.

why to we have to reduce to being mean when it comes to these kinds of decisions? The vaccine protects YOU from death, so stay away from those people and monitor your symptoms carefully with your trusted care providers ASAP if you feel something is wrong.

This thread proves one thing: We're all better off if we quit worrying about what other people are doing.

Up until March 2020, you had people jammed up on public transportation, stores, just LIFE all the time. Those people around you could have been sick with any variety of ailments. TB, the traditional flu, meningitis, chicken pox, measles even....and you NEVER thought about it.

You just lived your life.

Now, after 14 months of constantly watching the news, so many are afraid of people. Terrified of what they're doing or haven't done.

Divisions here, divisions there, divisions, divisions everywhere.

The thing I *most* want to go back to normal is how we don't look at our fellow man with suspicion based upon whether or not they're wearing a piece of cloth on their face.

This is sad.

This whole thread is sad.

Good points all!
What's even more sad is there's two or three threads like this in every forum. Obsession much?

RnR, Everest, Test Track, and Millenium Falcon are the only rides that have it.
I've always found the Everest and TT single rider lines to be efficient. RnRC more times than not took as long or longer than the SB line. I've only been on MFSR with others (and SR wasn't running anyway), but I heard that it was usually a pretty short wait. The downside of SR for MFSR was that you were pretty much guaranteed an Engineer position every time.

And while that has nothing to do with CDC guidance, this thread was getting really dark really fast. So here's a funny picture to lighten the mood:

Cognitive dissonance?? How long did it take you to look that up online? Call it what you want but what the mRNA vaccine does and does not do has been shown, proven, proven again, and stated over and over again and only someone utilizing cognitive dissonance would even consider the vaccine useless or a danger. But yeah... you used a big boy word so you win. :worship:

No, it hasn't been proven. In fact it has been proven the opposite way that natural immunity is better. So please go ahead and listen to the main stream media who is lying and has an agenda to just get everyone vaccinated but those of us who do know the truth will continue on with our lives without getting vaccinated.

This is why we haven't seen massive rates of re-infection (yes, some people have been re-infected but it is rare) in the community despite high transmission rates.

That’s an interesting take. On what she said.

there are plenty of adults that have been told by their doctors to wait to get vaxxed because of having covid. Many of them have been told wearing a mask outside etc aka new cdc recommends would also apply to them.

im personally in that same holding pattern, it seems more logical to follow my personal doctor that has been caring for me for over 20 years then a government agency.

Amen! Many of us haven’t had the luxury of hiding away for this past year. Girls got to eat!

anyways I can’t wait for the fear to dye off, the elderly that spent their last year alone lock away in this fear, is just heart wrenching It’s what makes me the saddest

Update : The New CDC guidelines won't be effecting California (including Disneyland) any time soon :

"California will wait to lift its statewide face mask mandate for fully vaccinated people, the state announced Monday...The updated rules are expected on June 15, which is when Gov. Newsom had said the state will fully reopen. Until June 15, all current reopening rules and mask policies will remain in place."

We will have to wait a month before California adopts the current CDC guidelines.

You have to remember they are still learning about the virus. When I was taking my continuing education classes on it last year, every week, they were changing what they thought or knew. As more time goes on, recommendations might change again. I know it’s frustrating and sometimes contradictory. But everyone is learning and there’s still that learning curve.

So would you agree that the science on long term effects of the vaccines is constantly evolving, therefore people choosing not to get it have a fair case?
