Thoughts about Cirque de Soleil La Nouba

In all the years we've trekked to WDW, we've never experienced La Nouba - partly because there are so many other things to do at Disney, partly because of the expense for a family of four "adults," and partly because the show isn't really unique to Disney. (We can see Cirque de Soleil in other places - even though we haven't!) Now that La Nouba is approaching the end of its run, I'm giving it more thought. We have one last chance to see it, if tickets are available, in November.

So for those who have gone... can you share your thoughts? Worth the cost? Entertaining for teens/young adults? And which seating/what category of seating do you recommend? We should get a DVC discount, so that would help a bit.

Thank you for sharing your experiences!

Great show. Well worth the time and money. Sit up high somewhere (cat 2 or 3).

My girls, now 14 and 12, and myself will be enjoying for the third and last time next week! It is a great show and I would definitely go see it if you can add to your budget and schedule. I second the post above regarding category 2 or 3 seating. You don't need to be super close to enjoy. We play around with the tickets until we find exactly where we think we would like to sit as you can view a seating map.

The show is unique to Disney and yes, it is well worth the cost. The higher you sit, the better. Closer seats make you miss a lot of what's going on.

Thank you for the seating advice! I was thinking we would need category 1 for a good view. Do you recommend higher, center - or not as high on left or right?

We really enjoyed it and have seen several other Cirque shows. I would say it's one of the better ones still running. We like the ones that are more like a circus performance. I think it's worth it. I have thought about going again sometime but probably won't make it before it closes. If you haven't seen it, do it. Center is better for most Cirque shows. I like how La Nouba has performances, like bikes and skateboards, that appeal to kids.

I would say anywhere close to the center, cat 2 or 3 is best. The theater is pretty small.

High (although not all the way to the top) and closer to center. Much of the action takes place up high. We sat near the front of the upper level balcony and loved our seats. I actually would prefer that to the lower level seats.

We loved it - even DD then age 8 was mesmerized. And the clowns were hysterical!!

I took my parents for Father's Day last year, we were in wheelchair seating in the back row (I think category 2) just off center. Seats were amazing, it felt like the show was right in front of us, especially the aerial acts. I think it's not an issue of how far back you sit as much as being closer to center. And if it's in the budget I think it's worth seeing at least once!

We've been a number of times and always enjoy it, I think it's worth a trip and second everyone saying try to get up high.

When I go to the website, it only allows me to see availability through 7/1. At first I thought it was related to the DVC discount (through the DVC website), but I seem to have the same issue on the MDE website. Do I need to call about tickets? Or is there some reason why I can't see fall dates?

Best Cirque de Soleil I've seen, and it is totally worth it, imo.

Certain functions of MDE are currently messed up and have been for days. Wait until it is fixed to book.

La Nouba is my family's favorite cirque de soleil out of the three we've seen and we've seen it many times. its great!!!!! Contrary to what everyone else said, I actually prefer to sit closer, in the first section, because I like to see the performers' faces and feel like I'm part of the show. But to each his own and center is definitely more important than forward.

We really enjoyed it. We find the best view is center, towards the top. I think it's cat 3. They use the entire height of the stage, if you're to close, you don't see everything.

Saw it once with my family as a teenager and once with my DH (boyfriend back then). Loved it both times. We were midway up both times, first aisle on the second level I think, which is cool as I think in the beginning or at some point the performers will walk right by you.
