thought i bought a messed up player (blonde moment) lol

I went to target this morning before school after reading about the sale from you wonderful people and I just got home all excited about plugging it in and checking it out. It is making sound but nothing is coming on the screen. Do you have to wait for these things to warm up or something ???? I am scared that I bought one that is defective. I got the 5inch with the player and an extra 5inch monitor. cost me 241 total this morning.
but its not working !!! lol

update: nevermind blonde moment rofl i had to turn the thing on the side to get it to work. durrr

but neighbor just went and bought one and brought hers home and it doesn't work. it keeps spitting out the dvd. she is on her way back up there to exchange it if they have any left.

Make sure your cables are all in the right spots. My normal DVD player does this if the video and sound cables are reversed. LOL!

Did they have anymore players? If not and you really want to keep it...call audiovox and explain that you bought it at Targets and you really would like to keep it but it is not working and they do not have anymore....they might upgrade you.

I had this happen with a carpet cleaner I bought at Big Lots for $29.99 Eureka sent me the delux model at the time it was $259.00 for nada. Never hurts to give it a shot.

Sometimes there is a little piece of plastic covering the center of the DVD player, right where the DVD goes. I found this out after bringing it (and my four kids) back to Best Buy because my new DVD player wasn't working. Talk about a Blonde Moment. I felt like an idiot.

We bought the Eddie Bauer DVD player at Target at a great price, but it would work a little while, then skip and jump. We were so disappointed. Had to take it back
