It is two months into the life of BCV- I have read trip reports but not much about these two issues which were discussed a bit before BCV opened...

1)How is the bus service and the boat service since they have added all these new guests to the mix?

2)Have the new guests crowded SAB? Is the extra "security" in place to keep out pesky poolhoppers a lot of hassle and does it seem to be working to keep the place manageable? OR is it all much ado about nothing much?

We are just back today- they were checking id everytime we went to SAB and giving out wristbands, the bus and boats were fine, not overly crowded, but the parks seemed pretty empty to me all week.
One thing that was very noticeable- the two evenings that it rained, Beaches and Cream was impossible to get into- and the lobby at BC was hopping. We walked to YC and it was nice and calm and quiet. If I werent staying at BCV, I would choose YC now and not BC because of that.

The pool wasn't too crowded when we were there last month. When we walked into the pool area, a CM checked our room IDs and gave us wrist bands to wear.

While I was waiting at the snack bar by the pool to order some food I felt sorry for a cast member working there. A lady that said she was staying at the Boardwalk was grilling the CM about if she brought her children over to eat, they wanted to be able to swim at Storm a long Bay. The CM told her she needed to be staying at the resort to use the pool. This lady said she was a Vacation Club member and she should be able to use the pool. I finally spoke up and said I was a vacation club member and when the Beach Club Villas opened the first of July, Disney officially stopped the pool hopping. She said, oh, I must have missed that information. I told her I received something in the mail on it. The cast member looked at me as if to say, "thank you."

I feel sorry for Disney trying to police Storm A Long Bay pool. It is a great pool. I kind of wondered if this lady was even staying at Disney. If she really was a vacation club member, wouldn't she have checked with the front desk and not a CM working at the snack bar at the pool.

We just got back from BCV this week. We had no problems with the boat or bus service. We only used the bus to go to the Magic Kingdom the only time it was crowded was a E ticket night and only about 2 minutes after the full bus left another bus was at the stop to take the extra people. The boat service was excellent
it seemed there was always a boat going to either Boardwalk or The Studios we never waited longer than 5 minutes. We enjoyed being able to walk over to Epcot it sure is handy to be that close one night I called for a dinner ressie at about 7:15 they told me they had a 7:45 available at Alfredos we walked over and they seated us right at 7:45. Stormalong Bay didn't seem overly crowded we were there at several different times of day and even with the rehab of the areas around the pool it didn't seem crowded. There are a couple of areas roped off in the pool and one hot tub is closed because of construction. It also seemed that they were keeping the pool open longer 9 A.M to 11P.M. last year it seemed it was only open 10 A.M to 10 P.M.

We just got back from BCV and were asked for our ID at all times at SAB. The wristbands made it easy to go back and forth without having to produce ID every time. Not once did the pool feel overcrowded. Also, the quiet pool in the BCV area rarely seemed to have more than a few people in it at any one time.

We stayed at BCV last week and used both the quiet pool and SAB. Never once were we approached by anyone at SAB checking our ID's or supplying us with a wrist band. We also went to Boardwalk and pool hopped and were never asked for ID there either. The transportation to the parks was fine. The crowds at the parks were manageable. The parks seemed more crowded at mid-day.

We were there 8/04-8/11, I only went to the quiet pool, it was great, nice and quiet. My DD's did spend some time at SAB, they said it wasn't bad, they were asked for id's. Maybe I'm getting cynical from going to much (not) but the boat service was the worst I can remember, they seemed to have a lot of training going on so maybe they just got caught in a pinch.

We are at BCV right now and they are issuing wristbands to those wishing to use the pool. The pool crowds do seem to be quite manageable.

Bus transport has been fine this weekend and the boats are all right, but walking seems to be a more efficient means of transport to both Epcot and MGM. The boat wasvery appreciated in the afternoon heat today returning from MGM.

Just returned from BCV. We used the bus service and did not have to wait more than 15 minutes for AK or MK bus. Boat service was only a 5 minute wait to Studios.
The pool was not real crowded. They did give you wristbands after you showed your resort ID. One night there was no one around checking for wristbands, but it was not crowded.
The largest crowd was checking in in the main lobby of the Beach Club. We checked in around 9:30 am and after calling the resort every hour or so, we got our room at around 2:00 pm. The lobby was really crowded.

We were at BCV 7/28-8/8 and the buses were very crowded. Several times we took the Swan bus back from MK and walked across. We were at BWV 8/11-8/16 and had the same transportation problems there too since the resorts share. The boats were very slow too. Beaches and Cream was a nightmare to get into. It seemed that the BC was way too crowded now with the additional guests and didn't know how to handle it. We used mostly the quiet pool, the walk down to SAB (and having to bring along our room keys)wasn't worth it for us.

We stayed at BCV from 8/3 thru 8/10 and it was great. Enjoyed the resort. As mentioned they were checking the SAB and you needed a wrist band. The bus service needed some work. I thought there were too many stops between Broadwalk and BCV. It seems from the comments that those staying later in Aug. did not have the same issues with the bus. There were no big crowd we have come accustomed to at Disney. The park that was most crowded was Magic Kingdom. Epcot was empty. Disney sent a survey to me concerning our stay at BCV and I noted the bus service. Enjoy!
