Those who use Google Calendar, beware

Google has changed the look of adding an event to google calendar. At the bottom, you have "More Options" and "Save" as normal, but now there's a button for "Make it a Zoom Meeting". I have no problem with the zoom meeting idea, but it shouldn't be the one "highlighted" in blue. That makes it easy for me to click thinking "save".

Why would they promote Zoom when they have their own Meet competitor?

I checked both my phone and web version of Google Calendar and I don't have that option. I do have the option to add a Google Meet link. On both of these devices I even have the zoom app installed but still no option.

Are you using the native Google Calendar app or one that came with the phone (assuming it is a phone)?

I have that with the time clock at work. IN and OUT punch button is orange, not displayed together during the shift change times. But I don't work shift so if I'm there beyond my required "shift" of 7-3, which is every day, I go to punch and both and IN and OUT button displays with the IN button orange if I leave at 3:30. Between 3 and 3:30 is usually when I leave and it is only displaying the single orange OUT button. So as I'm trying to get out the door, I accidentally punch in a 2nd time all the time when I'm leaving which screws up everything on the time sheets for those who track payroll.

No Zoom option on my Google Phone Calendar or my Google Computer Calendar either. Or my paper calendar either!
Of course, most of the Zoom meetings I have, the Zoom link doesn't get sent out until about an hour before the meeting.

The web page (via PC). I do have Zoom installed on my machine. Don't know how the webpage would know that.

Sounds like your domain admin has installed the Zoom for Google Workspace add on or you have inadvertently installed it for yourself.

Is your email an @gmail.com address or @customdomain.com address?

Mine is the normal save if nobody else on it. When I add anyone, it defaults to adding Google Meet.
