Those who have sailed out of Miami

We didn't stay near the beach since we flew in late afternoon the day before. We stayed at the Comfort Suites Miami Airport North. Had free airport shuttle, breakfast, wifi, and port transportation. Nice hotel, big rooms, decent breakfast. The free port shuttle left at 10:30 if I remember right which was perfect.

When we went out to dinner that night, we just took an Uber.

Do you recall how much the shuttle was to the port?

I don't know if it's nice yet because our cruise is only in October but I booked the Stanton. The reviews are pretty good. It looks great, it has a pool, is right on the beach, is near a nice park and close to the ports and many restaurants.
We were there in November, it was very nice. The DCL transportation rep has a desk there and she was making door decor for everyone. She also recommended big pink down the street for breakfast and it was really good.

We have stayed at the holiday inn at the port which is across the street from the Bayside Market. Lots to do and several restaurants to choose from.

If you have never been to south beach, you might consider staying there. Great people watching, interesting restaurants and beautiful hotels. We stayed st the Hotel of south beach which is one block off of ocean boulevard. Lovely hotel. Great rooftop pool and a private section on the beach with chairs.

Good to know! I was looking for a breakfast restaurant! Thanks!

We also stayed there in November and ate at the Big Pink which is right down the street. We watched the cruise ships setting sail right from the beach which my kids loved. Pool and beach were great. Would definitely stay there again.

In Feb I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn South Beach (really Middle Beach) which was nice - a Lyft was about $20 plus tip to the port. Be aware that it is an Art Deco building so the rooms are smaller than a modern hotel as the building structure could not be changed.

This pst week I stayed the night before the cruise at the Hampton Inn Airpirt South/Blue Lagoon and it was awesome! Places to eat within walking distance. Free airport shuttle. Shuttle to the port at 3 different times for $10/person. If you are there on a Sunday they have mimosas (FREE) offered at breakfast!!

have you stayed near the beach in the days prior to your cruise? Where did you stay? Was a cab from the airport/to cruise port sufficient?
We stayed in the Hampton Inn and Suites in Brickell which is in the financial area downtown. Great location- safe area, block from metrorail and metromover, 2 blocks from Publix, loads of restaurants within walking distance, free breakfast and $20 cab ride to port. Would recommend. We used metrorail to get from MIA to hotel. It was safe and easy and we were travelling with children and lots of luggage.
